We have nobody in the team that will shoot. Sell Bamford, Firpo, Summerville and Rutter and buy a decent striker and a defender. Not one shot on target for most of the game is completely unacceptable. Don Revie would be ashamed of this team, wake up Farke and get things changed. Stop saying you have a "young" side. The side is yours and you thought they were good enough, if not don't play them.

Rutter has zero finesse or ability to move the ball forward under pressure. Summerville - normally a bright spot - was shut down by Walker-Peters. The midfield was completely outmatched, as it has been all season. No threat, no ball control, no winning fight. The defense was porous. The goal was evidence of that, but so were four other chances where Southampton was easily able to get behind the centerbacks. Rodon and Gruev were lost. Farke - zero ability to rotate the tactics to address the situation on the ground. Bad subs, at the wrong time, with no clear direction. Basically, Martin had Farke’s number all season - precisely because Martin played for Farke and knows his tactics, and knows that Farke won’t attempt to plug the hole, but would rather go down with the ship - even though he could have kept the ship from sinking in the first place. As a Southampton fan I’ve been there many times and I feel that pain! Must have been such a hard watch. Never thought farkle was any good. He talks well just isn’t brave enough to change it in game. The 90 points count for nothing. The reason we dropped points in crucial matches is down to an inability to adapt tactics in game, beyond throwing on extra attackers with 15, 20 minutes to go.
I agree about corners. But the argument about center mids not scoring. I think if you play a front 4 then having two defensive midfielders is not a bad thing. What we are looking for is a defensive midfielder that can score. I would guess there are maybe 2-3 in the whole country and certainly out of our price bracket.

90 90 90 pts in three of the last four seasons would get you in third position with teams above attaining 91 or more that finish in second place. In the last ten games we dropped 16pts and our form was mid table. We had second place with our destiny in our hands and failed to finish the job. The buck stops with the man in charge.

Got a second chance but that display with turgid tactics was poor. That said I’ve said he deserves a transfer window and pre season. Certainly if we had won I would be worried about his ability to navigate survival in the Premier based on his past performance and having seen his lack of tactical acumen and in game management. Give him a go next season but if it’s not working out get rid quick because we can’t afford to be stuck in this division for a third season.

Took MB 2 seasons. Stop with the entitlement. We performed magnificently this season given everything. We got 90 points under these conditions so lets see how we do with a PROPER pre-season. Rodon should stay. New LB's. 8/10's. MJ 1st choice striker. New RB's. One more DF's (Cresswell must start from next season). One more CM (given Cresswell must start from next season releasing EA back to CM). Replacement for Bamford. Square pegs all season etc and square pegs as back-up too. DF and the lads have done EXcellently, and Daniel Farke is a CLASS act...

Who was supposed to be playing centre forward today? Set pieces an absolute joke. Overall just an excruciating if entirely predictable outcome.

I also realise there will be a ton of fans who will say 'sell for what?'.....I appreciate the above players won't fetch a ton of cash. But combined hopefully that balances the books...

I don't want Farke out. But I do worry about the summer and next season. I worry about Rodon not staying. I worry about Summerville and Gray going. He needs to balance the books but as well as that he needs to get in hungry players that will get us out of the league ASAP. I don't rate the three coming down. But Burnley could be a threat. Norwich will be a threat. WBA, Boro and Coventry could be a threat too. We need new full backs a new goalkeeper. A more creative central midfielder. A striker and need to keep our good players.....and if we do sell them....replace them. Teams coming down will have $$$ to spend and ours is dwindling.

I think there is an opportunity to change his game management after the lose of all of games during the season with Southampton. We lost 3-1, 2-1 but he didn't change his overall perspectives not only tactical side but also decision for game change. Today...No change again. Farke should be deserved his great results before international break. But, I want to find the reason of failure comes from Farke with the ones mentioned above. Sadly, there is no better choice for another director. I also think he will not be changed as 23/24 season. Just keep watching the movement for rebuilding team by discarding remarkably useless players.
