I'm so thankful for Issa Lopez bringing forth such a powerfully transformative story of INDEGINOUS life/reality that was given life by Reis and Foster's skilled acting. I love how it was the power of the Indigenous Feminine, the season was SACRED MEDICINE.
It takes a team, they are all to blame. Everyone involved deserves to take ridicule for this absurd production. Perhaps they changed the ending mid production like they did on Rise of Skywalker. As an actor you can say ok, reshoot the rest of the scenes I already did because I'm not putting my face on this project. Any show with female leads drives online geeks insane. I think of online reviewers have the notion, "if it ain't white, it ain't right." I heard Ben Shapiro say the last batman flick was woke because black characters were positively portrayed as good guy lawyers or heroes.
I absolutely love the show. The characters are so real. I hate that (mostly men) are trashing the show because they can't handle having complex women as the lead characters. This season is ground breaking and it is paving the way for more shows with complex female characters in the central roles. Thank you to all involved who worked on this fantastic season ❤

This has a definite Fortitude feel - can't help but think there will be a climate change related facet to how the story ends. It also is faithful in an American context to the Nordic Noir setting of where it's shot in Iceland. The "Trapped" series remains one of my favorites as well as the genre original Smila's Sense of Snow.

Regarding the negative reviews of the season: I watch the series because I like detective mysteries. In interviews and articles for the season, the main focus and topic have been female leads, inclusion, etc., so when viewers bring up any criticism of the actual mystery itself, they're derided as hating those things because, for whatever reason, the narrative is that those things cannot be separated. It's pretty frustrating and insane, and it is just causing more pushback from critical viewers.

I have loved Jody Foster since “The Little Girl Who Lived Down the Lane”. She just has a magical charisma. Now I love Kali too and was so impressed with her power and also humanity that shines through. I wish this show had a season 2. And 3… bravo ladies and amazing story Issa Lopez!
SEASON 4 EXPLAINED: it ends up to be exactly as i thought... indigineous folklore symbolism and beliefs impacting on people's minds... that only happens due to interference from the mine/ mining... this is what lends it's supernatural themes ... which are founded and ultimately explained by chemistry and physics... as to HOW AND WHY the murders or deaths happen... The series opening scene gave it away... psychosis dellirium induced by a physics/ chemical reasons (e.g. change in magnetic field)... impacting one member of the group and then herd follows into the Abyss as the animals did. Well played.

Was really disappointed by new True Detective season 4 ep 1. Acting was not on par with HBO shows. And writing was terrible. I Think this season 4 will become the worst season of True Detective series. HBO should stop making sub par shows.
