So glad to watch you enjoying Bob Seger's music. You have good taste, man! I love all his songs, but this has always been my favorite. Everytime I hear it, I feel the excitement of my younger years and zoom back in time to happier days. Those were good days. ♥️♥️
The Fire Down Below, Feel Like a Number, Nine Tonight, The Horizontal Bop, Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight, Turn The Page, Let It Rock, Fire Lake, We've Got Tonight, Main Street, You'll Accompany Me, Her Strut, ....just so many great songs
This song is about Bob taking a road trip on his bike from Michigan, up the the U.P. and taking US route 2 across the country. It's a beautiful drive, I did it in my 98' Deville a few years back.
Huh??? I thought he was talking about Mackinaw, Ohio? Haha. Just pulling your leg. I'm a Michigander also. Made that trip across the U.P. countless times while going to Michigan Tech in Houghton. Sometimes the view would bring tears to my eyes.
@@MrBobbyz24 I doubt there is such a city in Ohio. I just pulled a state name out of the air. But what back in the early 1970's there were state maps that had two fictitious cities shown in that little strip of Ohio that shows up on our maps. One was Gobleu and the other was Beatosu. No joke, I saw them with my own eyes.
Yes! I saw that map also. It was the Michigan state map put out by the then state Department of Transportation. I believe the employee responsible received some serious discipline.
Yay Yay Yay This is top 3 Seger. "Took a look down a westbound road" Some days it's the only way to cope. Good reaction J. The official video is REALLY good.
@ted ritola I think these are already on Jay's channel: Against the Wind, Turn the Page, Night Moves and Old Time Rock & Roll. Obvi lots more to choose from for future reactions.
It is always good to be sure your own dream can be realized as well as the path your loved one is on. It is costly to lose who you are and the dreams you had hoped for.
Yeah. I saw him in the 80's outside concert in Virginia. Then took my son and daughter to see him 2014. They both loved his music and we enjoyed the concert together!♥️ My son was 28 and daughter 15.

Mama K from AZ here J. After 43 years of listening to Bob, no lie, I get goosebumps during and after his songs....and with the recent passing of his saxophone player, Alto Reed, I consider myself so blessed to have had the great Alto Reed play the opening riff to Turn the Page In the aisle right next to me in 1979 in Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Phoenix, Arizona. I believe the goosebumps have never gone away and they never will. ❤️🤗
He is a heck of a storyteller, he makes it sound like he telling the story to the listener in a private conversation. I've said it before, if you never saw him live you really missed one of the greats. I am sad he has given up the road, but he has sure as heck earned it.
Right this one down..... Ramblin Gamblin Man 😎🎸 Bob's first hit & had a Eagle on backup vocals ! ( That's right a very young Glenn Frye ) One of the greatest concerts I ever went to was Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band in the early 80's 😎🎙 What an amazing show they put on ! He can sing a song and tell a story just as good as Chuck Berry both had that style that put you right there in the story with them ✌😎
BOB SEGER and Glenn Frey were Best Friends they played music together as Teenagers in a garage Band in Detroit! BOB wrote the Lyric there's gonna be a Heartache tonight in the Eagles song by the same Name ,and sang backup in the song ! Seger also wrote and Sang a tribute song to Glenn Frey after his passing called Glenn's Song ! .
I really enjoy your reaction to timeless music. Seger is my very favorite genuine musician and writer. He is a gift. I’m 66 and grew up w his music. Stunning.
The best song of my whole life. First heard it when I was just a baby. It's been a dream of mine ever since. As with everyone who first hears this song.
