    I’ve been baking this recipe for a couple of times already, and it’s always a hit! I substitute the heavy cream with nestlé all purpose cream and the lemon with 2 pcs. calamansi. I also add a bit of vanilla for added flavor. Thank you so much for this amazing recipe! 💖

I also placed gelatin mixture on top of the blueberry preserve just to make the topping firm. I've got a new blueberry cheesecake business!! 😜😊

    I just tried this recipe yesterday after weeks of contemplating! I doubled all the ingredients since I was using a bigger pan and surprisingly, it turned out good! So good that there's only a small slice left after a day. I used all purpose cream as substitute too and added vanilla. Mine also had a more watery texture when placed on pan compared to the video's (probably because of the egg) but it didn't matter much. Thank you for this recipe!

      @@yummyph Hi! Thank you for replying. I did do the recipe accordingly but our gas-ranged oven can only use 1 flame option. Hence I did the 30mins with a bottom flame, and 10 mins to top flame before leaving it inside for an hour. I had to add another 10mins as the cake was still jiggly upon checking then leave it again for another hours for the residual heat. All in all, my family and I loved it! To those who will be using an electric conventional oven like me (walang fan na oven), I hope these added notes would help.
    •instead of chilling the crust, I prefer na iprebake sya at 150c for 8-10 mins (MIDDLE RACK, UPPER AND LOWER ROD NA SETTING) then take it out before gawin yung filling para may time na magcool down sya
    (napansin ko kasi na mas matibay yung crust kapang magslice kana ng piece pag nagprebake ka)
    •for baking the whole cake. (pinakaBOTTOM NA RACK, UPPER AND LOWER ROD SETTING PARIN)
    •while baking the whole cake na, use boiling water for water bath but (PLEASE BE CAREFUL, please use something to protect your hands po), the water is going to react with the preheated tray po kasi.
    •once nalagay na ang whole cheesecake sa oven please wag po buksan ang oven. During and after baking.
    •Trust po the time na binigay nila. for me po binake ko sya ng 40 mins, then iniwan ko sya sa oven na nakaoff for 1 hour ng hindi binubuksan.
    •after 1 hour kelangan pa po sya magset to room temp sa table lang for around 20 mins . So guess what. antay na naman po 😂 but during this time you can add naman po the toppings. Nibrûlée ko po yung top nung akin tapos nilagyan ng candied lemon. Di ko kasi afford yung blueberry compote hahaha
    I hope this helps 💕

      Hi! Just a note that this wasn't made in a convection oven (aka oven with a fan) and even if it was, the fan is always turned off unless specified in the recipe. This was made in a conventional oven. It's a general rule that for baking, you never use the fan on unless told otherwise in the recipe since the fan will affect your baked goods. :) Thanks though for all the tips and of course, for watching our videos! :)

    Hi! to start with...thanks for sharing your recipe! :) I can't wait to try it out..although i have a few clarifications...
    If i want to double the recipe:
    1. What pan should i make it on? 8 or 9 inch?
    2. Do i also double the ingredients for the graham crust?
    3. What adjustments should i do with the baking time and temperature then?
    4. I have seen other recipes use sour cream. Yours made use of just heavy cream. What would be the difference if i use one from the other?

    • @yummyph
      @yummyph  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! As with all ovens, baking times will differ from one oven to the next. It's best to check regularly so you don't over bake your batters. As a good rule when doubling recipes, use the same temperature and procedure but add about 10 minutes to the baking time. When it's still not done, add another 5 to 10 minutes depending on how under baked it is. You can continue adding minutes as needed until it's fully baked. Good luck! Thanks for watching our videos. :)

    Hello. How come your mixture after adding all the ingredients (cream cheese, eggs, all purpose flour, etc.) is thick while mine is runny? Did I over beat the ingredients? What speed should the hand mixer be?

    • @yummyph
      @yummyph  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! Fortunately, overbeating this mixture will turn your dense cheesecake into a Basque-like cheesecake. Even so, the key is really to make sure you cream and beat the ingredients well before adding the next ingredient. This helps to fully mix the ingredients. It actually helps that the ingredients are all at the same temperature, about room temperature, because warm ingredients mix together better than cold ingredients. Hope these tips help! Hi! If your oven is inaccurate, the only way to know for sure is to invest in an oven thermometer. That plus learning where the hot spots are will make your oven a better friend in the kitchen. Thanks for visiting and watching our videos. :)

      @@yummyph does poking the pastry to know if its cooked work for the cheesecakes too?

    Hello! Can i use powdered sugar instead of granulated? If so, will the measurement still be ½ cup? Thanks!

    Hi , if i use steam oven,..what is is the temperature setting, and how long should i bake if i use bake&steam function?

      Hi! We have not tested this in a steam oven but neither the temperature nor the time would change. As always, not all ovens are the same so gauge baking time according to the dish. Good luck! Thanks for visiting and watching our videos. 😊

    Hi! Do i still need to preheat my oven before baking my cake and at what temperature and minutes? Or is it okay to directly bake the cake at 400f for 10mins? Thank you!

      Hi! You should always preheat your oven at the temperature indicated in the recipe if you want to bake your dish evenly. We do not recommend that which is why the recipe instructs you adjust the temperatures as indicated. The danger is your cheesecake will break. Thanks for visiting and for watching our videos. :)
