Fun fact: double press ctrl and you’ll put your gun down.
You can also hold ctrl and scroll wheel up/down to incrementally chance your stance, and just scroll wheel up/down by itself incrementally changes your walking speed from a super sneak slow creep to jogging.

People new to DayZ, this is not DAYZ 2.0 from the actual DAYZ game. This is an ARMA REFORGER MOD, called DAYZ 2.0.
Remember, click-baiting is still a thing.
On a game made by the same people who made arma, which this game is, which is what dayz was a mod of before it became a game, so the game is a mod of a mod from a game in a mod for a game, remember people, miss information is a thing.

If this comes off it will be Dayz 4 as there has already been 3 distinct Dayz versions. Watching Fresh Spawns gives me that old school Frankie and Sada feel, so good.

There's been more than 3 previous DayZ Mods though, this would be at least the 12th 😅
I can't even remember them all anymore, it's been years, all I can vividly remember is DayZ Epoch, DayZ Origins, DayZ Overwatch, DayZ Overpoch, there was one that used a year in the name, there was DayZ Namalsk (because remember, it was completely different than DayZ Mod at the time, not just a map), there were a bunch more for A2, there were a few for A3, like Epoch again, Desolation Redux, DZA3, Arma 3 Survival Mod, Breakingpoint, there's literally an A3 one still in development and not released yet, I'm pretty sure there's a new one in development for A2 still, then you have a couple for Arma Reforger (this is only one of them), then DayZ SA (sadly, terribly, Epoch for SA was cancelled 😢), and there will definitely be a few when A4 gets released in a couple few years...
What there won't be, is an official DayZ 2..... it's been cancelled, years ago....but idiots keep spreading that BS rumor.
@@johnnygeorgopoulos4072 I would not be so sure. It could just be a repeat of how current DayZ went. Dean Hall made the original mod, but once it hit over a million players in the second half of 2012, Bohemia suddenly decided to make an official version and gave Dean a job, because they realised how lucrative it could be for them. If the Reforger mod gets sufficiently fleshed out and hits high enough player numbers then I would not be at all surprised to see that cycle repeat.
I think they would be happy for there to be a sequel, they just want someone else to do the donkey work for them.
@@johnnygeorgopoulos4072 You have a good memory of the golden days thats for sure. I still think Dayz although more buggy, the actual gameplay was far better between 2012 - 2018 than the point and shooty we have today. I would say the three distinct versions of Day so far are
1 Dayz Mod
2 Dayz Standalone
3 Dayz .63
Dayz 4 would be the next one if it ever happens because it would be distinctly different. Considering Bohemia have never finished any of the Dayz versions I am not getting excited just yet.

You should really call this DayZ Mod 2.0, There will be an actual DayZ 2 in the future.
It would be like DayZ Mod 12..... there's been so many different DayZ Mods and customizations, they're still being developed for Arma 3, and there will be another one or three for Arma 4 when that releases.
And no, there won't be a "DayZ 2".... it's already been confirmed that it's literally been cancelled, years ago, but idiots keep spreading this fake rumor....there WAS going to be a sequel, they cancelled it, period..... people are spreading the fake news that they heard that it "was" under the "works", but because they don't follow Bohemia Interactive news, only "DayZ" news, they have no idea it's done.

Standalone is still so buggy and clunky, doubt they will ever make a dayz 2. Best hope is a really good mod on Arma 4
@@BadBoyV1lmao you clearly dont know the DayZ devs. They are the dumbest and cheapest devs of any game. They have barely reinvested in the game and actually fired alot of employees. They have a grand total of 10 employees, spread out over 3 platforms.. if dayz 2 ever comes, itll take over 10 years.

The current DayZ is a Mash up of two engines and is why it has so many problems. A single engine edition would fix a lot of problems currently faced with DayZ.

These days i was few times online in the Reforger Mod. It looks really good. You see so much detail on the far. Landscape looks great. Performance seems to be good. I saw a heli and the animations in the air was very smooth.

This is great, however the Moderators on that Arma Reforged server are up their own arse and abuse powers. Spent a week on their farming, then left due to Server Admins being very childish and abusing powers
The thunder and lightning are the admins Abusing power, you can see me trying to speak to them "Youlaseas" in general chat, but they just ignored us
wich admin as i can tell you there is no admin abuse , they follow strict rules so ether you broke a rule and are now complaining about it or you talking nonsence

The problem in DayZ has never been the graphics, tfe graphics literally do not matter. I just wish they would actually focus on improving the gameplay and maybe make vehicles function properly without killing you and your entire bloodline everytime you drive.
Facts. It's kind of crazy that PUBG came from DayZ and that the cars in that game are incredibly smooth. But it's easy to understand why the cars are the way they are since the game had used two different engines to create the game. That's why a lot of us are looking forward to DayZ 2 being created under one game engine. This may make it smoother.
@@phatmarx Haven't played Pubg in a long time but during the first 3 years of its release the vehicles were a mess. You had to be careful not to crash into a sign which would get your car stuck and explode it immediately, or I remember that time my friend got teleported to the space with his car, or the time we drove under the soil. If Pubg is fixed right know like you say it is, there is definitely hope for Dayz.

The doors etc needs animations and sounds... Like when you push the handle down, that you get a sound feedback and can actually see it moving down and back up etc.. Would make a huge difference, like looting cabinets and so on
..
Wet clothes too would've been nice, when you get up from the water, you will see wet clothes and as they dry, it's visible...
The gameplay looks terrible in this game. The environment is amazing but the characters movement, gunplay and models look atrocious. Absolutely not DayZ

First thing i hate is the way they hold the weapons .... if they wanna do something similiar like dayz they should make sure it is the same but without that many bugs and a better engine. Otherwise it wont work i'm pretty sure
Ever played arma 2 dayz the og dayz that what this is a mod ofc it wont be perfect but its a start standalone has had over 10 years and still has massive issues . We been around for a few months and we reaching our next mile stone soon with our plannen stuff :)
You can double tap ctrl and you can put your gun down. Pressing left click once will bring it back to high ready, tapping shift when at high ready will put it at low ready.
Slim, it's clear you've never played the real DayZ, because this is a DayZ Mod, just like the best DayZ's were. I'm not saying this is great yet, but it'll get there eventually if they keep working on it.
