The Cheapest DIY Shop/Garage Setup On Youtube!!!! | Cost Breakdown

  • Its been 3 years in the making but I'm finally done with my little budget shop/garage project. The most shocking thing to me is that it all only cost $5,500 which is a reasonable budget for most folks. I never intended for it to be so functional, but here I am restoring and building cars with it, so I guess it actually works.

    This setup makes me very proud man. I'm an engine builder and I've built some wild engines in waaaaay smaller and way dirtier conditions. I like that you've maximized your space and you're organized to a T. That goes a long way when you're trying to piece a big project together. I fuck with your setup!

That's actually reassuring to know you only spent ~5500 dollars. I've got a few things to start with, but now I gotta watch your video on the building itself. I'm very impressed, man. But that doesn’t really exist locally to where I am right now. But you seem to have had a good experience with eBay so I’ll give them a try in the future

    Solid set, the price/performance with the amount of things you now get to do is insane.
    I'd say the only upgrade I'd do would be the lift either by reinforcing it with something else or throwing stands on it. It's the number one danger in this hobby/work that will get u even if you are careful.

    New York temp preserves everything and I feel for you on the snow, but I kinda envy the fact that it probably won't get above 87° F in there. Here the top 3 feet of space would be for metal objects only. A/C or two required. But you have such a great attitude and sense of humor, I subbed.

    • @BankruptBros
      @BankruptBros  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your right, even on really hot 90 plus days its not too bad in there with a fan. That being said I do want to move to the south and I wonder which is worse to deal with. Really hot days and a high electric bill or the freezing cold and snow. The biggest downside for winter here imo is the salt on the road.

    This is such a dope setup, especially for a DIY! Is there any way you could elaborate more on how you power everything? I know you went over the computer power supply, but does that power everything including the lights? And does it need to be recharged? The reason I ask is because I’m always flipping the breakers in my apartment’s garage and finding a different power source would be awesome! Love the video, brother!

      Yea it was the bane of my existence when I had to dig through a tool bag just to find the 10 mil or a screw driver. My biggest issue at the moment is that with such a small space I always have to set aside time to cleanup so it stays that way or it gets ridiculously messy real quick

    I just found your channel and subscribed but I see you haven't posted a video in over a year. I hope you're not dead. Please let me know because if you are I won't hold my breath waiting for another video.

    Need to step up your Milwaukee game and get the 1/2" high torque impact and the M12 die grinder and stubby impacts.

      Thanks for the recommendations. Those are all on my wishlist. But I’m doing quite a bit of work on the skyline, and extra cash is going into that rather than more tools at the moment. I’ve got a 1/2” air gun which is working fine for now along with the dremmel.

      @@BankruptBros I understand that. Do like I did and keep an eye out for sales and get the best price. That's usually the only way I buy anything is if it's marked down or comes with a free tool or battery.

      @@towboatjeff Im not sure if you saw there was a good deal at homedepot where you get a screw gun along with two m12's for only $69. Im the same wa id rather wait and hunt for deals than pay msrp right off the bat
