This setup makes me very proud man. I'm an engine builder and I've built some wild engines in waaaaay smaller and way dirtier conditions. I like that you've maximized your space and you're organized to a T. That goes a long way when you're trying to piece a big project together. I fuck with your setup!
Thoroughly enjoyed this normal guy's garage tour that I'm sure most folks like myself can relate to! I worked out of a similar setup for over a decade. Please show us some more about your cars as well if possible.
Thanks a lot!! Im just trying to make the best out of what I got. Here is a link to a video i just uploaded of my little jdm hoopty fleet. th-cam.com/video/jPJgZaC7OpA/w-d-xo.html
That's a pretty awesome setup, man. Very efficient looking, without a lot of "fluff" stuff that you don't need. It has me reconsidering how I plan on doing my first shop when I buy my house soon. That's actually reassuring to know you only spent ~5500 dollars. I've got a few things to start with, but now I gotta watch your video on the building itself. I'm very impressed, man. You're killing it.
Thanks a lot for the kind words. I decided to make these vids specifically for folks like you, that are creating your own setup and may need a few ideas or a few ways to stay on a tight budget.
Lmao 🤣 So true how a lot of high end pricey companies will give you minimal "discounts" like $50. off Reality is you have a very well designed shop with some quality tools/equipment to get the job done 👍🏽
Those car ports are great. And even better is the metal buildings on eBay. I started where you did and upgraded too a full metal garage stuck my carport next too it. Great setups
I’ve personally never dealt with any of the companies eBay selling stuff like this. Usually I’d rather go with a local company that would come out and build it for you. But that doesn’t really exist locally to where I am right now. But you seem to have had a good experience with eBay so I’ll give them a try in the future
Man i was LOSING it with the snap-on meme badges 🤣 Some of those i'd never heard, I was laughing for a solid 2 minutes straight. Subbed, also a fully sick setup and well thought out
The kick-off for this clip is pretty damn funny !! (loved it). Thank goodness for a dose of reality here..... Not all of us want to be (or can afford to be) TH-cam show-offs. Love your work. (Pete from Oz)
Thanks!! I appreciate the comment. If your into cars and want some more of that humor here is a link to my little jdm hoopty fleet. th-cam.com/video/jPJgZaC7OpA/w-d-xo.html
Great setup, man. It gives me some inspiration for my current shop. It was built by the previous owner. The big problem is that neither door is big enough to get a street legal vehicle in it.
Love the build, but man, what a blessing to live somewhere with nice weather. That tin shed would be the death of me in the winter!! Keep the good grind, sometimes the best setup is what works for you.
Yea it was the bane of my existence when I had to dig through a tool bag just to find the 10 mil or a screw driver. My biggest issue at the moment is that with such a small space I always have to set aside time to cleanup so it stays that way or it gets ridiculously messy real quick
@@BankruptBros same way, I have a small space. I find that I get stuff and parts I want to keep but don't have enough room for it. Cleaning up is a good practice always though. I've seen big shops become useless real fast.
Thanks for the recommendations. Those are all on my wishlist. But I’m doing quite a bit of work on the skyline, and extra cash is going into that rather than more tools at the moment. I’ve got a 1/2” air gun which is working fine for now along with the dremmel.
@@BankruptBros I understand that. Do like I did and keep an eye out for sales and get the best price. That's usually the only way I buy anything is if it's marked down or comes with a free tool or battery.
@@towboatjeff Im not sure if you saw there was a good deal at homedepot where you get a screw gun along with two m12's for only $69. Im the same wa id rather wait and hunt for deals than pay msrp right off the bat
New York temp preserves everything and I feel for you on the snow, but I kinda envy the fact that it probably won't get above 87° F in there. Here the top 3 feet of space would be for metal objects only. A/C or two required. But you have such a great attitude and sense of humor, I subbed.
Your right, even on really hot 90 plus days its not too bad in there with a fan. That being said I do want to move to the south and I wonder which is worse to deal with. Really hot days and a high electric bill or the freezing cold and snow. The biggest downside for winter here imo is the salt on the road.
Dude, this is a great set up! The family and I just got into our new house and I have been watching all sorts of "garage set up" videos. Ha, most of which are pretty unrealistic like you were mentioning. This is easily my favorite set up. I am looking forward to getting my new garage set up. Haha, also looking forward to making a "welcome to my new garage video" for my small community to watch. I definitely need to invest in that quick jack too. Great video, you have another sub! Cheers!
Also idk what it is, but I love the little compact setups like what you got going on. Your setup is really cool for DIY. And I agree. Husky does make nice quality boxes. I will admit though being around different tool box brands there's definitely a quality difference that comes with price. But honestly in a DIY environment Husky is great
Solid set, the price/performance with the amount of things you now get to do is insane. I'd say the only upgrade I'd do would be the lift either by reinforcing it with something else or throwing stands on it. It's the number one danger in this hobby/work that will get u even if you are careful.
