You should hear me giggling right now. I followed along and made one. Keep in mind I am a total newbie, only made one simple wire wrap bracelet then decided to jump right in on this. After several mistakes, or deviations as I like to call them, I finished a set and I absolutely love them! I am giggling excitedly. lol. I'm silly, I know, but I have wanted a pair of these for a long time. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hi, I'm Ivonne, I would like, since I don't know English, to know the measurements only of the wire sections, I would appreciate it very much, you are my teacher, everything you make is very beautiful.
For those of you coming to this tutorial late, and wondering (like I did!) how long the wire for the frame is, after searching through all the comments, i found out it's 15 to 20 inches. 😊 Thanks for the awesome tutorial Yvonne!! These are gorgeous. ❤❤🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♀️
Thank you so so so so much. You have no idea how much i enjoyed this video. it genuinely re-ignited the spark that i had lost... my desire to create. "its art, not science" such a beautiful way to stomp out that little annoying voice that tells me my art is never perfect or "good enough" thank you beautiful human being for sharing your art and ideas.
I am 66 years old and I'm obsessed with All things Fae. I think you are ADORABLE. Your videos are stellar. My next step will be to click on your patreon link. Thank you for generosity in sharing
For sure. From the time I was about 10, I would make up stories of my adventures in Fairyland to tell my siblings. I did that till I moved out at 18. Wish i could remember them now. Wishing you a rich Fantasy life
I've been making jewelry for a few years now, but wirewrapping always seemed really complicated and intimidating to me. Your tutorials are really easy to follow though, so I think I might give it a go and try to make a simple piece!
I'm going to a medieval fair in a few days and I really wanted to go as an elf, but that meant I needed ears. I had tried wire wrapping before.. I made a tree of life pendant for my mom and I liked doing it so I thought: "I should make my own elf ears!" Then I just needed a tutorial and then I found yours and I am in love! I'm going to study your tutorial a few times so it's easier to wrap along :) I will attempt making these later today! Thank you ♡
I made three o these and gave them to a co-worker I knew would appreciate them. She was thrilled to recieve them! Now, I'm working on a pair for myself.
Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! In my art class I am doing wire wrapping jewelry as my final project and your tips about fitting on the ear at the 39, 40 minute mark are especially helpful! I couldn't begin to tell you how hard it was trying to find specifics about the fitting and then here you are!
right?! I made my adult son try them on so I could see how to adjust them. Son: "MOOOOMMMMM SERIOUSLY?!!" He does it anyway. Son: "Wow these are kind of cool!"
This is the best tutorial I have EVER seen! It is so thorough and there is nothing left to the imagination which is so rare in tutorials these days! Thank you so much for sharing your talent, I really appreciate how you walk through everything so well!
wow this video is so old and i’m still using it to make fairy ear cuffs! i’m in the process of making some of these and i haven’t finished the entire video yet but i just wanted to say this is an amazing tutorial and you seem like such a sweet person, couldn’t have found a better tutorial 🥺❤️
I finished making these at 11 at night yesterday. I love them so much. I wore them to school and got many compliments. I used silver wire, black seed beads, and clear faceted bicone crystal beads. I wanted something neutral to go with every outfit :) This first attempt took around 3-4 hours but it was totally worth it.
I LOVE this tutorial! Really well-made and fun. I spent a happy morning making these for a party I'm going to, and they turned out well, thanks to your thorough explanations and demo. I can't wait to see more from you!
I already work with wire to make bridal hair pieces and wire wrap jewellery but I've been wanting to start ear cuffs. I had a general idea of what I was going to do but looked up tutorials as I was unsure how they attach to the ear. So so happy I found this video. By far the best tutorial and most in depth description, not to mention enjoyable to watch. Thank you so much for sharing. Your cuffs are beautiful and I can't wait to get started!
I never knew I wanted to make stuff like this so much before..... I even had a dream where I went to the shops and while I was looking at all the stuff I saw wire and fangirled :P
I really like your work. You are really good at wire wrapping and beading. I have been practicing wire wraing my crystals. Thanks for your help. You are very encouraging too.
Been wanting to give this kinda stuff a shot for a while now, and I have decided to give it a try but without any beads. If necessary, I can always unwind it.
I love watching your videos and stumbled across them looking for steampunk polymer clay tutorials. I have learned a lot the past two days binge watching your videos. I wish you were a lot closer. I would definitely take any class your offered.
This is an amazing tutorial! Everything was so clear, and as a newbie who has never even used pliers, this helped me make some cute ears for my Halloween costume!
This is a much better design than the very labor intensive version I've been making. Mine are pretty, but they wear my hands outs and take a good while to make. I'm going to try your version later today.
Your videos are amazing! I am so interested in mystical items (fairy, dragons, etc.) and it's amazing to watch you create such beautiful art. I wish I was as talented
Wow, this is a wonderful tutorial!! I was gonna buy them from Russia on ebay but glad I saw this. I used to make jewelry but never with wire. I like the fun project here with beautiful results. I will find a wire crown/headpc and make a matching set for my neice and one for me. Thanks, this looks fun.
It took me four tries from the beginning, but the last time went really well and I made it !! I'm so happy, thank you so much for sharing this. It sure taught me something about being patient with projects and now I can cosplay Spock :) 🖤 That was really a lot of fun to do.
❤❤❤ can’t believe I’m only now finding this! Thank you!! You have such a cute personality and made me smile through the whole process! Love love love my finished product! I couldn’t have found a better tutorial.
I’m so so SO excited to try this, thank you for such a comprehensive tutorial! Especially the list of materials, I have all but the 18 gauge, can’t wait to give this a try :D
You're a sweetie, thank you! You're directions are so easy to follow. But, it does look easier when you do it. 😜 You're so talented and these are beautiful. I'm trying to make some for my granddaughters for Christmas. I hope they turn out half as nice as yours. 😅
Very nice work. You’ve not only given idea for ear ornament, but the concept lends more innovative ideas to apply toward other body pieces. Thank you for sharing. Good job on the Tut. Ps…Trains must blow their horn in area where there have been accidents, as well as high traffic/intersections, pedestrian congested areas as to offer extra alertness. And of course in the event someone is on the tracks. Sounds like you live in a busy city area. It wasn’t too bad in the background, btw.
I'm beyond impressed! It looks so pretty and your funny and cute comments made me giggle like a little girl haha. Had the ambition to try it myself and even though it looks nothing like yours I'm pretty proud of it x Thanks for this amazing tutorial! xx
awe its so beautiful I would have enjoyed seeing them on your delicate ears with your pretty smile. You are so creative and generous with your tutiorals.
Love it! Haven't used wire for a while, but I'm keen to make some of these beauties. Have stash of beads, but of course must buy more. What a shame. Many thanks for this tut.
My job after I finish school is going to be a jeweller I’ve know it would be that since I was a little girl my interest in drawing and making things leads me to that job and making these will make me so happy if I finish them
You should totally try making wire crowns, chain crowns, flower crowns, etc. A store near me sells copper crowns with copper wire flowers. Please do that!!!!
These elf ears are so beautiful and cool! I have never seen a design of yours didn't like, Yvonne (been binge watching all of your wire wrapping and PC vids. Next i'll be checkout leather crafting. You are and amazing artist 👩🎨and teacher👩🏫. Thank you for being so generous with your time and sharing your talents here. I've learned so much. Wish I had a COSplay event or Halloween 🎃🎉🎈party to wear them to. I'll probably make them anyway just for the skill-building opportunities. Or I could just wear them around the house🏡 and my kids would say I was crazy 😎

i love your design. i got the same gauge wire, but your wire is staying so firm. mine is getting all crumpled and the wrapped wire looks uneven. i just need more practice. you make it look so easy.

Awesome! I'm 66 and have loved drawing, painting reading about fairies my entire life. I'm going to make these and thank you for such great tutorials. So many adults have lost the fun and magic they had as children. I just love your projects!
Oh my gosh you can wear them at any age as long as it makes you happy don’t let no one tell you otherwise!! Just think there’s young fairy’s baby fairy’s and older fairy’s omg you should try a silver glittery fairy with diamonds instead of beads that would be beautiful and dye your hair grey, with blue larger highlights with some glitter oh I bet you would look absolutely stunning!
I love them! Can you give me any hints about downsizing these to fit a child?? I'm thinking that, with a bit of practice, I might make my granddaughters a set for Christmas with one of your gorgeous circlets :)
thank you so much for making this tutorial! I’ve been looking on etsy for a pair of elf ear cuffs for my dnd elf character, but I haven’t been able to find any that would suit her properly. Hopefully I’ll be able to make some now! 💕
