The punishing finger of God destroyed a wine valley in California a few years ago with the same problem as in Maui! Lack of fresh water! Instead of solving and spending money on these problems, the American government spends taxpayers' money on war, more precisely on organizing and supporting wars! Into what next pit will America lead its people?

I was right there in 1972. Mom's boyfriend, Harry Pan Am Airline pilot, lived in Lahaina, 50 feet from the ocean, 100 yards from the harbor break wall. I have vivid memories to this day, 51 years later. My sorrow is unending upon hearing of the deadly fire in 2023. I'm sick to my stomach over the treatment of the locals. I hope the families find solace and closure.
