I have one thing to say about this song: THIS WAS SOMEHOW HARDER TO COVER THAN THE CATACOMBS BY SHADOW OF INTENT. CAUSE AT LEAST THERE I COULD SOUND SILLY AND MESS UP A LYRIC CONFIDENTIALITY.
It's always the pop songs I have struggle singing... HOW?! Cause her voice is impossible to imitate that's how.
But this song is definitely a catchy one to by them. If Bury You didnt exist this would be my favorite by them... or this God is dead.
And that whole "ADRIENNE GOT THE MOVES!!!" Made me laugh harder than I'm willing to admit. Shes a great dancer!!!
I mean if you can sound like you're a vibrating pool of boiling mud and spilled guts you kinda covered The Catacombs as far as I can tell... nah I know its a hard one. But with Lightbringer, it's one of those songs where she just never breathes... and they're just too different.
I would also say, trying to imitate people's voices might not be the best approach. You only have your own.

@@thewindmillfullovcorpses HAHAHA what made it so much harder is trying TO figure out where to breathe and sound good at the same time. With the other, I could just inhale and at least somewhat sound a bit like the original.
Trying to get the notes down... oh boy. That's where it lies in what makes it hard too. I forget sometimes my voice can only do what it wants and sounds.
I often try to imitate singers cause I want it to sound like the original as much as possible. I don't know where that idea came from but it's always been a bit of a struggle of mine to sound like the original/ hit the notes right. Her voice is very unique and hard to mimic. Like Joy Williams... who just left me confused
OH AND ANOTHER PROBLEM I DEVELOPED FROM SO MUCH CRITICISM: SOUNDING FEMININE. Somehow I can hit the damn notes to I Don't Wanna Be Me by Type O Negative.... HOWCANINOTHITTHENOTESRIGHTTOASPIRESSONG

Yeah love this song so nice more pop style metal tracks please people had fun live as well with it people had blast. God her movements are always god damn perfect how I don't know she is just so good at picking the perfect poses as well I love her precision in movements.
You miss the other albums it's ties into The Cabaret of Dreams yes it's entirely tied to too that song the whole 3 albums are tied to The Cabaret of Dreams all 3 albums are about sailor looking for the Foutain of Youth and instread him and his Wife Solveig get cursed and she is a Siren he is like the ring master of the Cabaret. She brings in the sailors with her voice and he kills them inside for their sinful ways and the souls are gathered for the devil. The lore is Catholic lore based and God and the Devil are a team hence line from Gods of Debauchery the Chorus "We wrote the Symphomies of the seven seas We wrote the songs of the wind we created the sounds of the planets whirling over head".
ACTUALLY, the character in "Emerald Seas" (named Solveig) looking for the fountain of youth ends up killing the kraken (Drowner of Worlds) that had the purpose of guiding the lost souls (dead people) to the realms beyond, and thus', in a typical Davy Jones-like manner ends up taking its place, thus BECOMING the demon in the album Solveig, ruling the Cabaret of Dreams and trapping souls down there instead of guiding them above or below. There, Solveig lures a long lost love from the time she was human into the Cabaret (a sort of mythical demi-plane that's not exactly real). The third album begins when Solveig decides to Burn down the Cabaret (the song "Burn") and is thrown back into the real world. Then the third album is a journey of redefining herself and coming back in contact with (a reincarnation of) her love, this time fulfilling her happiness for real. I'm sorry, I'm a total fanboy about this band and their world, but you were pretty close. No one commenting on our stuff was this much into the stories and lore of Spires before. lmao okay you guys have a fan just from the pictures and MS paint added nonsense. I was thinking "there's no way they're going to add 'lady' and 'light' bringer pictures every time those words were said. BUT YOU DID! But kudos to this band man. They aren't afraid to do anything, are they?
IT TOOK THREE HOURS!!! Every now and then we'l just go completely Bonkers on a video edit and this was one of those times. I was in my most intense Seven Spires fangirl phase so I was willing to put in the effort! /Andrei

In the best way possible this was kind of ridiculous. Like that really good 'you totally don't expect to have that much fun and it's weird but endearing' way not the 'what the hell is this' way. I think I might get on pretty well with Spires if I sat down with an actual record and went one end to another. Seeing them in bitesize bits in combination with their bonkers burgeoise/victorianesque videos kind of always destroys my context-o-meter where like on a record, I could see the flows and shifts between everything more clearly. But they have so many aspects of what I enjoy in there and in such quantity they gradually are overpowering my resistance to the baroque prog-symphonic stuff that kind of scares me a bit.
I would definitely recommend a full sitting through Emerald Seas. The songs make so much more sense in context as these are concept albums. And all three are connected. I can't freaking wait to see how this flows in the same record with the stuff like Gods of Debauchery and This God is Dead which are so dark and dramatic! You have a problem generally with baroque prog-symphonic stuff? If you do, I'm glad one of my favourite bands is getting you over it! /Andrei
This song brings light into darkness :-D and made me smile. It sounds like something very much inspired by Europop to me, but that synth´s sound really has a J-pop or K-pop bent to it. I suspect that they might have chosen to do it this way because of the featured singer, who worked with Adrienne in the past on a song for an anime show´s soundtrack ---- (Nevermore (feat. Casey Lee Williams & Adrienne Cowan) by Jeff Williams with Lyrics ---- and the other singer is from a progressive metal/rock band which seems to be more successful in Japan than in their homecountry. The guest vocalist also put together the dance choreography. But do you know who is that Lightbringer to whom they refer in this song?
I mean there are some pretty good Japanese metal/rock bands, but I know that not everybody is into them. So I will rather ask whether or not you are familiar with the band called Ignea? :-)
Thank you for your comment. I didn't know Casey worked with Adrienne before, nor did I know that Casey did the choreography, but that's really cool. As far as Lightbringer, I know that's a metaphor for Lucifer but my gut tells me its not exactly about that. And yes, we know Ignea. We should have a reaction for their new song coming at some point. /Andrei
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses Neither did I know this about Adrienne and Casey, but somebody mentioned it in the comment under the official and so I went and dug a little deeper into it. I suppose you are right that that you can understand in more ways than one. It was Ignea´s new single that I had in my mind when I asked you. Something to look forward to, I guess.
