Nice presentation of 2 poems totally new to me. I must keep them in mind for all the New Years to come! I always feel I'm in the presence of Tennyson himself when visiting Mr. Guite's delightfully cluttered library, as he bears a striking resemblance to the great Victorian poet.
I hear the bells, ringing. I hear them in the tears, and laughter of my child. I hear them in the voice of the one I love. I hear them in the hopefulness you share with us Malcolm, and I hear them in the voice of my Savior, Christ Jesus. Ring bells!

Before going to bed this New Year's morning, I thought I'd find a reading of Tennyson's "Ring Out Wild Bells" to help me go to sleep in the right frame of mind, and was delighted to find yours. It's also nice to see someone who has their books in a similar arrangement to my own! Happy New Year from Shetland.

what a lovely video. i think it's popped up in my algorithm because i was trying to explain the annual reading of ring klocka ring in sweden to a friend at new year's, the listening to which, and analysis of, is a new year treat for me and swedish people alike. don't think tennyson would've seen that coming. (though i prefer it in swedish! lol)
