you and misswendy were great. i giggles at the snack and bird noises. the Tengu reminds me of rude customers(i work in retail) but i still help. the story build is still good. being late to help or save someone doesn't mean you fails. it shows you can become better and show how much you mean to each other. very enjoyable

But now it seems completely natural, given the place where the listener works. I love all these details in the video to give it more dynamics. And I love the sound effects. Yes, she was amazing! It's tricky, choosing a script that opens with a collaborator who performs the bulk of the script, more so than in other types of collabs, I think. If the guest VA isn't 1) very engaging, and 2) someone who performs with a similar amount of emotion to what my listener base expects, people will just click off before they even get to my part of it! But there's no question with Miss Wendy. She's fabulous. And her style is still different enough that having her on provides something that I couldn't give on my own. I think we work well together, and I hope we can collab again in the future. I witnessed a discussion recently where several VAs were advising another not to waste too much energy on visuals, because the majority of listeners won't see them. And I can't say their logic isn't justified. I put quite a lot of time into choosing vfx, placing and moving those characters around the screen into just the right spot, matching up the timing, etc etc. I don't know that it will gain me any views or subscribers in a genre that is meant to be consumed aurally. But for me... it's part of the hobby. I don't really do this just for views, otherwise my channel would probably be full of yandere dommes. I just like creating something that I can feel proud of. And it's hardly fancy animation, but I feel like what I did here is something pretty cool. And if even one person liked it, it wasn't wasted! I have probably said very similar things before. Oh well, you get to hear it again. 😁 You bring it out in me. Plans are already starting for part three, so I really don't think it will be too long of a wait. She is very good, although I only listened to her in two collabs with you. Although I don’t want to compare you with her, but while I was listening, the thought in my head was that she is even better at acting. I've spent years in therapy learning not to say things like, "oh no, I'm not that great, (other talented person) is so much better than me," and I certainly don't want to backpeddle on that now. And in reality, I don't truly believe that talent-in any area-is something that can be ranked, with some people above or below others on a ladder. Each and every person on this planet is capable of creating things that nobody else can create, whether they've got a lifetime of experience or are just trying for the first time. And there's value in that. So while I always strive to improve myself, it's far more beneficial to improve what *I* do, the way I do it, than to compare myself to someone I will never be. The world is lucky enough to have a Miss Wendy, so I need to focus on being Nightshade. That said, I will sing her praises to anyone who will listen. She did a positively amazing job and gave a beautifully expressive performance, and I'm honored I had this opportunity to work with her. It is true that my training focused heavily on realism, on making yourself feel actual emotions and then expressing them. I never had any training that I can recall on things like doing voices, because my teachers were people who didn't see as much value in it. (This is why I admire people like NaughtPlusZero who can flip between established character voices on a whim.) And while I would like to learn new skills like speaking in various dialects, I'm also grateful for the type of training I received, because I think it suits a certain type of ASMR well. The softer emotions can feel very intimate. And so, I'm pleased that I have some knowledge on how to create that. It's just as you say, visuals don't bring in new listeners. But the people who do enjoy it may become more loyal to you, because they like your work more, and that has a trickle-down effect, too. If I only did yandere dommes, I have a sneaking suspicion that my channel would actually be worse off for it. I put in as much work as I do because I'm inspired. If I had chosen to go for the numbers only, there would be less passion in my work. Plus, there are so many people out there already doing the non-consentual yandere thing that I'd be competing against them, but with lower quality work. Just not a good idea. I think it *was* the listener's strong will that protected them! The naga seems to realize, once the tengu is gone, that the listener was faking being hypnotized to throw the tengu off until the naga got there. And I thought, when I read that in the script for the first time, that they must share quite a bond of trust. I absolutely love their relationship. Thank you so much for your kind words!!

Well I really enjoyed the story thanks I specially enjoyed the Evil Tengu character she had a very fitting voice as a villain I voice that said yes I take what I want from my enemies and I think highly of myself that was the vision I got from listening to the evil Tengu character I also enjoyed the chemistry the Naga and the listener have between each other
6:50 I can just imagine the listener winks towards the Naga, signaling they were in control, and then perfectly moving their body to the side right before the stab. Any way, I loved this.
I just realised how dumb I am. I reffereed to our Naga as a Lamia. I'm so dumb, apologies. Anyway, a very intruiging part 2!! Loved this!! That Tengu was quite evil, or atleast... Jealous? Of the time we spend with the Naga? Alrighty then. Luckily our Naga saved us!! I guess the Tengu was what she was worried about in the first part? Interesting.... I guess we can date then. No point in avoiding danger now. Since, y'know she found us. So we can date!! Wooooo!!!! Unless, there's nore enemies... Meh, we survied this!! I'd stay with her!! AMAZING performances all around!!! You as always aced this character!!! MissWendy REALLY went all out for the Tengu, I loved it!! Also, much like the first part. The SFX really added to it, the spa music, the difference between the foot steps it all was great!!! Also, the visuals actuelly moved aswell!!! I loved the Naga slowly getting closer and then kinda, smacking the Tengu!! And then, the cawing and hisses!! Loved this!!!!!!! Wasn't as peaceful as the first, but I loved it all the same!!! It's all right, lots of people have called her a lamia, including myself in the tags! Yeah, sorry about that! I also tried to put a warning in the description, but it was tricky - I was afraid softening the audio too much more would make it sound fake. I could perhaps have added audio elements to indicate the listener was hiding and then muffled it... ah, but I feel like most people prefer a listener character who doesn't run away and hide... But yeah, I apologize. Miss Wendy is so good at creating a character that you just love to hate! When I heard her lines, I was blown away. I think it would be interesting, if the Tengu gets her own parallel story with her own "listener". We don't know the entire history between the two, while the Tengu is clearly has an ego, nothing says she is inherently evil. Now that her perfect skin has been "damaged", and shes basically been rejected, its probably a huge blow to her self esteem. Her meeting someone could send her on a different course...

Anyway, a very intruiging part 2!! Loved this!! That Tengu was quite evil, or atleast... Jealous? Of the time we spend with the Naga? Alrighty then.
Luckily our Naga saved us!! I guess the Tengu was what she was worried about in the first part? Interesting.... I guess we can date then. No point in avoiding danger now. Since, y'know she found us. So we can date!! Wooooo!!!! Unless, there's nore enemies... Meh, we survied this!! I'd stay with her!!
AMAZING performances all around!!! You as always aced this character!!! MissWendy REALLY went all out for the Tengu, I loved it!!
Also, much like the first part. The SFX really added to it, the spa music, the difference between the foot steps it all was great!!! Also, the visuals actuelly moved aswell!!! I loved the Naga slowly getting closer and then kinda, smacking the Tengu!! And then, the cawing and hisses!! Loved this!!!!!!!
Wasn't as peaceful as the first, but I loved it all the same!!!

Yeah, sorry about that! I also tried to put a warning in the description, but it was tricky - I was afraid softening the audio too much more would make it sound fake. I could perhaps have added audio elements to indicate the listener was hiding and then muffled it... ah, but I feel like most people prefer a listener character who doesn't run away and hide... But yeah, I apologize.

I think it would be interesting, if the Tengu gets her own parallel story with her own "listener".
We don't know the entire history between the two, while the Tengu is clearly has an ego, nothing says she is inherently evil.
Now that her perfect skin has been "damaged", and shes basically been rejected, its probably a huge blow to her self esteem. Her meeting someone could send her on a different course...
That could be an interesting story, if Makenzie Mazing and Miss Wendy are interested in doing it 😁
