Great Price Listz- Budapest record remastered in 1985' by France Clidat who recorded 128 Listz-pieces in 1970-75 . We are with a lyrical Listz here with a fabulous technic but always a melody with Clidat . Not on TH-cam but music-lovers listen always Listz by France Clidat and G Cziffra for me since her first record . Bernard Gavoty said " Madame Listz " j agree it's a romantic Listz by a sensitive and famous technic pianist .
@@themoroccanpianist8953 Yes, Arrau was a great Liszt interpreter: his recordings of the Concert Etudes and especially of the Verdi paraphrases are unmatched. Also love Jorge Bolet, particularly the RIAS recordings. And then there are unfairly neglected pianists like Edith Farnadi (especially in the late Hungarian Rhapsodies) and Sergio Fiorentino. But I love Clidat too, particularly when she's in top form, as here! 🙂
Chopin, although he lived only for 39 years, managed to compose music as grandiose and poetic as Liszt's music, sometimes even better . I really wonder what he could have composed if he lived longer.
Une des plus grandes interprètes de Liszt.... Respect !
I actually got chills listening holy shit I've never been hit so strongly by music in my life.
She takes the intro of the Etude no. 1 with such great speed... and her La Campanella is so dry, it's fascinating.
so ?
uhm ... hi?
She was her own person as an interpretive musician. She played with great understanding, commitment and ZEST!

I really wonder how much of Liszt's music you actually know.
