I am not f2p, I have spent a bit of money in the 4 years I have played my account, but I haven't spent money in about a year. But, I used to hoard like that. Just doing enough to finish my monthly events and then save the rest. Then I started getting bored of not making any progress and I finally fused thousands of heroes. That being said... I still hoard a lot of things, like POs and 5 star shards.
Exactly! If you save everything you cannot make any progress. And you won't be able to win any fights and you one day find yourself in the arena trying to fight a whole bunch of 10 star garudas and Eloise when you still have a 5 star character. I believe this is why new players raise the stars of characters to try to make them more powerful so they can win fights.

The first account is really under leveled for playing for 1 year. I've been playing for less than 1 month and I'm almost level 100. I've get a 9 star Garuda.

this account reminds me of first year in Idle heroes : took me more than a year to get to E5, bought Aida copies with relics ( and skins) took me around 3 years to get my first gliterry Artifact xD since I watch you Mkx, i learned a lot and love this game for the try-hard / saving events :D PS : with the countless times I immidiately openned any chest xD
Both accounts are a pain to watch. First one has played a max of 5 months for such a level. Second one has played that long that he's supposed to beat Vanquisher 1 by now like other well-established f2p. Instead, he has only 2 trans heroes.

There's no situation where a new account would be better. 99% of progress comes from time or money. A new account would be a huge set back and wouldn't fix their bad habits. Not to mention the regression update means mistakes can be easily corrected
@@Jet-ij9zc Hawkeye has wasted most of its guild coins and all of his relics. Those he can never get back. Restarting would definitely be better if u consider that he cant even regress anything rn coz he has no soul symbols either. It's not like he has made much progress (apart from his vip level) that is not very easily attainable.
@@kylesavage4525 doesn't matter I had a mihm and garuda when I came back now my account is way better restarting won't do anything. Maybe for his account though since the soul symbols is a huge problem. If the new regress system wasn't a thing I would honestly agree.

man.. i watched this 40 min video with no pause. It was hugely fun and entertaining. I first started playing Idle heroes about 5 years ago.. but stopped only about two months after playing. and re-started 4 months ago with my old account already vanished somehow. Got some good tips from this vid. Never use Glory to buy character or skin. Try to save as many Prophet orbs and Magic summons as possible to increase probability and bring good characters all at once. Im spending about $10 in a week or two. but boy this game really does require patience & endurance. Should i be spending a little more dollars? PS : I secretly bought two things in glory temple (to my shame, n I do reflect on it), 1. Asmodel (at least got it to upgrade to level 9), 2. Vesa skin (because she look pretty with glasses on - _- an absolute trashy move)
I'm getting better at saving, but in the cool events tab it doesn't say you need X amount orbs or HS scrolls for there events it barely even explains what the upcoming event is and getting hero chests isn't that easy as a f2p player I've gotten 2 hero chests
I made a 3rd account, and it's less than a year, I got E5 Garuda (to open Void), Penny(easy copies), Eloise(OP solo), Waldeck (for Abyss) and E2 Ignis(Support) at the moment. 10 copies of Carrie as my next E5 after Ignis. PURE F2P, not even a dollar spent. I'm working on having 5B transcendence material to have my first one, should be Scarlet Queen Halora. I'm still 3B, long way still. I ask around for advise. And I'm sure I'm far more better than that first account VIP4 building so wide and leveling up puppets.

You know I'm half tempted to offer up my account for your judgment. And mine is even more interesting because I started back in 2018, I think, but then completely stopped playing sometime in 2019 before Tara was released. If I remember correctly, E3 was the highest and a brand new update shortly before I quit. But now I'm back and I'm making progress, I think. But it's difficult because when I try to ask questions I get a whole bunch of different answers and I'm not really sure what the hell to do.

And I don't understand how are you supposed to progress and win fights and actually get more coins (as you need to beat levels / win fights) if you are not supposed to spend anything? You have to spend to upgrade the guild tech + the hero levels and spend money on those things on the island and to get more heroes to upgrade! Because without 4 star heroes you cannot make 5 star heroes. And if you don't actually upgrade a few heroes - whoever you got at random - well you cannot pass levels at the tower or in the chapters or anywhere. You will be standing still and only getting coins from daily sign in + the autobattle in campaign. But you won't actually progress. You'd be standing still. And if you actually WAIT until you have all of those copies as he says - 9 copies of some specific hero - and its all totally random who you get from a scroll at the summon tree while doing the daily - well it could be MONTHS before you get even 3 or 4 copies of a particular hero! And then you need 9! So I think a lot of people are forced to start upgrading heroes along the way, whoever they got.. Especially if you are a new player. I've been playing 5 weeks and I certainly don't have any of those popular ones like eloise or penny or whoever. I did do the swap event during the "adoption" thing so I got Aspen + Young Holmes and that panda bear + the girl in the red crystal (got all of those) but that is just ONE copy. I no idea when / if I will get any others. And it would be dumb luck (but rare) to actually get one from the summon tree. So I have no idea how people actually have e5 high ranked characters like those in a month..
I love seeing other bad ass f2p players like myself.

I have a full guild tech E4 Garuda. She can only beat 10 in seal land. My Eloise who has full guild tech and is E5 made it to 19.
