Hello there my sisters and brothers in scale, I'm starting building ICM's 1/48th scale Ju88 A4. The kit looks really promising but how much of the good impression will have stayed until the end of the video? Please take a seat, press belts, and… let’s get started!

Sweet! My favorite aircraft of WW2
8:50 - "as was expecting the seam line was quite significant" - No, the seam line is terrible!! 9:10 - "I don't blame ICM for this" - I do!! Having attempted the C-6 nightfighter, I threw mine away in disgust as the plastic was so soft no amount of filling and sanding could get rid of seam lines. Then for more self-inflicted punishment I've just completed ICM's woeful Do-215 nightfighter which comes with ill-fitting and misaligned parts, missing parts for a nightfighter variant and decals that break apart at the mere sniff of water. For anyone attempting an ICM kit I'd be afraid...very afraid. But I give you 5 👍 for yours. Looking forward to seeing how you finish it. Cheers
I think this company is in bloom and they try to release as many models as possible. This is why some products leave bad or good feelings. You want to see bigger problems? Then watch the third part :)
Get the Dragon/Revell -C6 ; better in every way
@@jimmytgoose476 Yeah built the C-6. Still some fit issues with that one too, mostly around the engine nacelles. Being an absolute masochist, I also recently purchased the ICM 217J kit to do the J-2 variant. 😖
I wasn't tempted by the ICM 217 , having had Promodeller kits in the stash since they came out (ahem....!) ; I also have the excellent Koster nightfighter conversion set . Having built one 217 as a bomber i know its a nice kit , certainly good enough to avoid me taking a punt on a 40 quid kit . And besides, one of my 217s cost me a whopping £2.20 😃👍
You didn't correct any of the kit's errors ...?

The cockpit floor for a start ...
Adding the missing console and levers on the port side was a nice touch ; the wire you added on the starboard side is possibly part of the oxygen system .
@@jimmytgoose476 thanks, it's a bit hard decision. The interior is not a well visible inside as it might've been expected. From the other hand I know there're so lovely detail sets from Eduard.
The floor is the major internal error ; most of the rest is a bit vague but like you said , difficult to see . I haven't had a good look at the -A4 kit bit the -A5 that i built (converted to a C4, actually) was riddled with errors . I wouldn't buy another ICM 88 unless it was VERY cheap ; they just aren't as good as the old Dragon/Revell kits .
effettivamente il montaggio della fusoliera completa è molto complicato,mancano i riscontro,oppure sono molto piccoli e non sufficente a tenere in linea tutto,pure il montaggio delle alli alla fusoliera,sula fusoliera qeuei piccoli pezzi sono insufficenti,e le ali tendono a passare sotto
Zgadzam się, ogólnie ten model w pudełku robi bardzo dobre wrażenie, ale czar pryska gdy zaczynasz łączyć ze sobą główne elementy. To jak kobieta, która świetnie wygląda na Tinderze, ale na randce okazuje się być... nie taka jaką się przedstawiała :)
