    I would like to know how stacked routes are shown....sometimes I see a signal go to restricting immediately after the rear end clears CP173 and other times it shows stop until a new route is placed over cp173.

      that is called fleeting. the dispatcher can set certain absolute signals to automatic, and others to manual lining.

      @@Trainman-xm3wd Fleeting is different from stacking routes for the next 3 trains that enter the control point. After the third train enters the control point, the signals will go to stop and stay until another route is planned. Are you saying restricting will shown when signals fleeted too?
