When the flowers for my wife for our anniversary weren’t delivered on time (3 days late it turned out), the manager and staff secretly went out and found a florist open at 9pm and got her two dozen roses free of charge. Amazing food…the absolute BEST staff!
There is just something special about the Precinct , I know that the others named , Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse , they serve most of the same quality food, but The Precinct just always seems to be a little better, maybe it's the historic bank building / ambiance , I don't know. It is like for some reason coca-cola tastes a little better in the old 6 & 1/2 ounce glass bottle than any of the others , maybe it is all because I'm 60 yr old now, lol.
My wife & I don't eat at ala carte restaurants with the prices as they are here , $ 9.00 for a baked potato & $ 10.00 for a side salad ? Ridiculous & we are recently retired & we did not accumulate 7 figures liquid by paying these prices. Actually the steak prices are the most reasonable priced item since they are prime. Won't be patronizing this steakhouse & Jeff Ruby is a great guy , but he has enough money to lower the prices.
The guest needs to learn how to use a fork at fine dining places, especially on the dessert, you don't stab down with the fork tines first, use the side of your knife to cut into the cake, not neanderthal style , I imagine Mr. Ruby there was horrified , but did not embarress his guest, fine gentleman
You don't have to be rich, but it's definitely a restaurant for a special occasion. The food is amazing. I'd rather pay precinct prices and get quality than go to longhorn and still pay $30 for a steak that's worse than a choice cut I can make at home (and I'm no chef...)
If you go by yourself it's not that expensive. For a family of 4 it will be around 400, I go to the 1 on nationwide in Columbus, it's usually under 80$ and worth it IMO. The drinks are what will get you

Amazing steakhouse, their bacon is the best I’ve ever had too
Prawns are not shrimp but cousins,they both have 10 legs as most crustaceans, shrimp have 4 pincer claws & prawns have 6, prawns are usually larger

Not that great. Had cowboy steak. I’ve had better. Did not like the coating at all.
We had 12oz filets last month. Didn't even need a knife it was so tender and seasoned perfectly in Columbus
