Yep always good to check wiring before guessing. I understand many makes of cars switch off the power to a sensor when they see a bad value. Had it on petrol injection system on bmw. Cycling the key makes car re look at sensor again

@@kennedysgarage3281 I have never used the Autosim pro .....The Waekon( I'm sure I bought it from Hickleys in the UK ) Abs Tester and Simulator is mostly For Abs systems ....Tests Passive and Active ...sensors but also simulates the sensors... back to the scan tool ....Enjoying your channel lots of good information 👍
Just Bought a Renault traffic sport 2010. The abs light on. New discs with the bearings, new abs sensor and still says, rear left sensor. Circuit open, circuit or short circuit to earth
You probably have a broken wire between the abs module which is located underneath beside the battery box or the new abs sensor could be faulty. I’d swop the sensor over ( I think they interchange) and see does the change side’s, if not you will have to go after a wiring issue 🤔
@@kennedysgarage3281 Just sort out the issue with my Renault trafic.. The wiring was all damaged. I think a rat did that. All sorted now. Thanks for your advice
Hi, can you use a multimeter to test the sensors? I read if there active sensors you can’t get a reading? I have a 2005 trafic, not sure what sensors they have? I’ve got abs lights on and no speedo. I’ve pulled stereo out to make sure it’s not that but still have nothing. Just wanted to see if I had a duff sensor first. Thank you
@@kennedysgarage3281 not yet. Saturday I'll put the van on the lift and start stripping that wire which goes to the left rear sensor. And see if any damage to it

If the engine doesn’t start it is an engine issue & not an abs issue. Do you have any fault codes stored in engine management??
