Spectacular Kenny, fantastic your pair of Paratilapia blekeri small spot, I hope you will be able to carry on the little ones. They are the only cichlids that deposit their eggs in clusters and do not adhere to the substrate but only to each other because in nature they move them by changing the area sheltered from predators.
@@DaniKenAquatics yeah no prob, I’m kinda seeing what’s in store for me when Orion (my Bleekeri) gets bigger, he’s outgrown his 10 gallon needs a 30 gallon very soon, love these fish
@@DaniKenAquatics these Bleekeris have the neatest personalities too! Mine is kinda funny like that , mildly snippy with the attitude that he knows he’s beautiful 😄 I named him after the constellation Orion.🌹
I also have a great pair of these, but I'm having trouble with getting them to breed, so my question to you is, (#1) What's your water parameter, (#2) what is your tank size and last but certainly not least, (#3) any kind of advice or suggestions on what I want to do to maximize my chances of breeding??? Thank a lot and congratulations, and best of luck to you and your fish.
The key with them is clean water and good food we used lot of brine and blood worms and they got bug bites pleco Formula unfortunately we had a heater malfunction and they both were killed I'm going to be growing out some more down the road it broke out heart ❤️ good luck they are an amazing species we Still have 2 males in the house only one is breeding worthy but he is a jerk to females thanks Much for watching
Just wondering... can the bleekeri in the community tank see these bleekeri? If so, I would bet that’s why the aggression spike🙂👍🏻 Congratulations on that spawn!
@@DaniKenAquatics those cichlids are tricky for some reason when it comes to spawning in the hobby they are fools gold dat big white clump u saw all over they were not eggs I know cause I had polleni cichlids for 8yrs 3 mating pairs and same results u had they just eat the white clump, I saw a few videos of polleni cichlids dat did lay eggs and were fertilized and they look just like regular eggs in a clay tray with no white clump on dem and they hatch successfully in a few months I'm goin to purchase ed d a 150 gallon aquarium a d raised them again and see if I can work some magic
