This songs reminds me of summer 2020. Whenever I woke up early I’d play this song while playing part 2. It’s crazy because I was locked in during a pandemic playing a post pandemic game.
I remember listening to this on launch day. I had no idea what I was in for. What an amazing experience it has been playing this masterpiece of a game.

Ellie deserved nothing more than to have a happy ending, but because of Joels actions she lost the chance to have that. Even still she could've ended up somewhat happy but she chose to seek out abby leaving her completely alone which she caused for herself

I love how the progression of the song perfectly mimics the story of the game, we start out dark and gloomy then we have a little bit happy time in the middle and finally we dive back into gloominess

This soundtrack is just PERFECT! No matter what version, you can do ANYTHING with it and it would still sound badass. Adventure-like like in the first game, dark and depressing like in Part 2... Heck, you could even make a love theme or something like that out of this and it would still sound sick! 🔥

@Sahil Ahmadzai I felt bad for her. She lost her favorite person, and was blinded by rage when she killed Joel. Then ellie, Dina, and Jessie come and kill all the rest of her friends, yet she was able to spare them and get away with lev.
This track in particular always stood out to me. Because the first game’s version of it felt like it was the main theme of societal collapse and the apocalyptic world Joel is now in. Since it literally plays during the intro sequence. And it stands out in part 2 because part 2 felt less about the infected and the apocalypse and more focused on hatred and violence of humanity. Yet it still fits so well despite the changes. Don’t get me wrong part 1 was always about Joel and Ellie, but it felt like the infected and apocalypse setting was a huge factor in the story, not so much in part 2. Still, both are perfect themes for perfect games 🤍
I think the games story was bad, but there were some elements that are just as good as or better than the OG, and the music is definitely one of those parts. Love this rendition
