I am also a bit worried because apparently non-OEM shaft are not very reliable... I bought some Cardone shaft... did you noticed or have any issue sonfar with this non OEM shaft? Thank you
@@jeromejeronimo9807 The cv axle I installed is Import Direct from O'Reilly's. I'm noticing a slight vibration, so it may put the original axle back on the car.
I appreciate the approach you took by removing the ball joint and not the strut and tie rod. I assume you didn't need to have the front end aligned after replacing the CV Axle.
Hi did you get any problem in the vtm4 and abs when you replace the cv axle. I replace mine with th oem the brand is fvb that i buy at rockauto once i finish installing it and test drive it the abs light came on and after that the vtm4 light came on
No lights appeared after replacing the axle. Are you sure it's correctly installed and the sensor didn't get damaged? I see FVP HO8202 on rockauto.com, which is probably the same axle I used; it should include the tone ring for the ABS sensor.
I have a leak between the axle and transmission, and I need to replace the seal, I was wondering if I need to drain the transmission completely. my vehicle is 2003 honda pilot, thanks
This was posted 7 days ago! ... So happy ... I have a front broken axle on my 2005 pilot. Thanks!

I've never had the alignment checked after replacing axles, but the service manual mentions having it checked.

Yes, the transmission fluid should be drained if the driver's side axle is being replaced, but it's not necessary for the passenger's side.
Clunking noise is probably the rear stabilizers. Big clunk when they are worn.
Addressed the clunking noise in the video that I hope to post this week.
