Is there some sort of setting to initiate the phone option on the phone or the watch. I don't see a "Phone" button on the watch despite having Marshmallow installed. I see other call options but nothing for the phone. When I try to make a call from the contacts list, it appears to initiate and dies. What am I missing????

The email is an AOL account, not a real gmail account, however, it is working through Mail and Gmail apps on the phone to pull the emails through to the phone. The app isn't forwarding those emails in any way to the watch. It just spins as if it's trying to either connect, dload a ton of emails or not at all working. Any suggestions? Other apps that work well? I paid for this app and it does absolutely nothing. Basically, the watch doesn't get email. That sucks.

I can't help you, because I don't even know which email app you are using, but i think you should ask developer of this app. Just find your app on the Play Store, tap on it, scroll to the bottom and at the very end you can send an email to developer ;) Good luck

I figured out this issue. There is no speakerphone on the watch I bought though the description on this page I bought it from stated there was. So of course, no phone calls without the phone. You are able to answer or ignore the call from the watch, but you will still need to use the handset itself to talk. However I think that the option of talking over the built-in speaker will be available soon also with iPhone ;)
