You can also mask the whole image you want to keep. then click invert mask. and generate that way. just have to figure out the tweaks for the edges. and after you invert mask. if you turn the Mask Erode or Dilate down to a -5 its pretty much perfect.
If you are talking about batch processing with the image prompts, the last I knew there were no plans for that yet with the UI. But not sure if something that could be done with the Fooocus APIs. I have not really explored much in that case myself.
@@KLEEBZTECH thank you so much bro , ur explanation and videos are so nice and easily understanding one , once again thank you so much for the time effort and replying
When you generate an image and you like the background, do you know if it's possible to use that exact same background in an other generation image? like a seed of the background? Thanks!
You could try using the same seed but not 100% sure that would work since other aspects will have an impact. I have not actually tried to see if that would work.
I find it depends on the image. But really it comes down to taking your time masking and if you want Fooocus to fill in the edges of the background or the subject.
Hi, I would like to create images where the background remains sharp and not blurry. I've tried several settings but still can't achieve the desired effect. Can you help me choose the correct settings to keep the background clean?
I have a question: how can I create a high resolution background in images with a character? It tends to always give blurry backgrounds. The best method I found is to create the image of the background I'd like - maybe using image prompt as starting point if I have a similar location I'd like to mostly reproduce - with no character; then "add" the character with inpainting, but I don't know if there is a better / different method to do it...
Most likely you are running into the issue of how Stable Diffusion will often do backgrounds in images of people. You can help that by describing the background for one thing. Also don't mention certain terms like portrait.
Hey Rodney, I have a figure on a white background, or green for example and I want to replace it with a specific image background...like a greenscreen effectively keying out the background on the figure. I'm new to fooocus. Any ideas?
If you were trying to replace the background with a generated background you could do that. But for what you're trying to do a traditional image editing software would be better. No real way of doing that in fooocus.
So its like firefly? I am currently editing some photos with my backdrop but not everyone could fit in there, so it just looks weird. So I'd like to get a background of a backdrop similar. So it can sort of extend it really. Is this possible with this? Do i need a certain model? I have seen things for inpaint etc, would i need to download those versions? thanks so much.
I am not 100% what you are asking but are you trying to extend the picture? If so then it sound like you make want to use outpainting. th-cam.com/video/y_XqkTfOv_I/w-d-xo.html
@@KLEEBZTECH Thank you for you quick response. I will have a watch of that video thank you. Yes sorry i was in two minds here. Thinking if I can extend my backdrop or to just use a different background but of a different backdrop, like a studio backdrop etc. I can only image as its just a plain background.
Hi, do you know if it's possible to take a picture at random, one of me for example (made with the phone) and just improve the overall resolution without changing anything else?
Yes and no. You can upscale with many things including Fooocus using the fast upscale and it will not change the picture but it also will not really add much for details. But the other two options in Fooocus would change the picture since it does.
@@KLEEBZTECH do you have any idea why all of a sudden Fooocus crashes with each attempt of generating a pic? It worked just fine until it didn't. I reinstalled it and nothing changed. My pc seems to not ventilate as much as it did when the app worked. It's from the app or the PC? What do u think?
@@KLEEBZTECH no errors, no nothing, it just crashes. Imagine it like this, when Fooocus worked, my pc was sounding like a plane engine and now he is calm; it's like he doesn't even struggle anymore. The only things I did was to reinstall Fooocus and clean windows C. I thought that something might be broken with the GPU or CPU idk, but I opened a game and it works just fine; only Fooocus is problematic
People do that kind of things with image editors like PS, Affinity, GIMP etc. But if you're not confident in those, and want to use AI to better blend your subject with the background, roughly paste your subject on your desired background using any external image editor, then use img2img/inpainting with a low denoising strength. That should help you make it believable.
When you do this, and it messes up part of the generated replacement background, how do you fix the error ? I tried painting around the error and generating with the same prompts as the original - it put random unrelated things in there. I tried with zero prompts, it also put random unrelated stuff in there ! It's not a complicated shape, just deformed section of leg that needs to be replaced with the garden in the background. It's driving me nuts !
Honestly I don't know what the best way would be. I use A1111 but for most things I use Fooocus. I just find it easier to have them both installed and use what I know best and what is easiest.

Yo! There is nothing wrong with your video, but it is missing a detail that many people ask about. I wonder too. I have pictures from inside my house and I have created my own characters. How do I make these characters sit or stand in the pictures in my house? Writing prompts doesn't work well as it doesn't make my characters look right and the backgrounds don't match the interior of my house. So how do I use two images, one of, for example, my kitchen and another image of, for example, Mickey Mouse and now I want to get Mickey into the background image of my kitchen?
@@Alprosen you can use your original images within inpainting but they're not always going to match. Probably the only easy way is to create Loras for the characters and use those while inpainting.
