Meat Loaf doing a cameo was such a huge deal at the time too. I worked at the theater when this movie came out and would duck in and listen to this and the ending any chance I got.
Dio's voice still gives me shivers on the regular. To do that right after Meat Loaf was singing...man, what legends! RIP to them both. I'm so happy to live in an era when we can preserve performances, both so we ca enjoy them and also to hopefully give amazing performers some degree of immortality.
Yay Im so glad you watched this sequence from Pick of Destiny! Even though its theatrical theres a lot of wonderful hidden gems. Favorite part is at the end when he sings rooock and elevates on the second time. Thank you for reaction \m/
😂😂😂 Forgot this...bit raw but hilarious! Actually Jack Black lived there@10yo...Kickapoo, Missouri. (Checked wiki) The Kickapoo are well-known in Wisconsin as one of our native tribes in the SW. Historically..they moved as white dudes took over their lands..to Illinois, Michigan, Kansas, Missouri and Texas/Mexico...well represented in our museums...probably unimportant to most. As part of Algonquian lines..it means those who move here&there...or walk the earth. Forgotten history but we Wisconsinites know ours! 😊
Tenacious D, Meat Loaf, Dio and Beth - can it get any better? :D This song, the video and JB getting Meat Loaf and Dio to work with him, is a total underrated masterpiece. And i still believe it's based on his real story. Thanks for making me laugh a lot on this reaction video btw: what about a colab of Tenacious D and Beth? ;)

My favourite part about this song is that I've seen some behind the scenes footage that Dio literally broke their microphone on his first take, and used one of his own. Yes, his was was that f*ckin powerful like Master Exploder jokes.
beth please do star turn "stars on 45 pints",his vocal delivery will have you creased.it's what vic reeves robbed to do the pub singer round on shooting stars.may i add you look absolutely stunning today, keep it coming beth love your reactions
Jack Black playing with tounge placement and letting air going around inside the mouth! He's a very playful person exploring sounds! Obviously not classically trained! And isn't that glorious?
Beth, could you do a reaction to two of polish nominees for Eurovision this year? There are two interesting options: Chrust - Tempo and Sw@da i Niczos - Lusterka. I'm really curious what would you think about them.
ik this video isn't about prince in the slightest but have you heard temptation by prince? its his most vocally crazy song in my opinion and I feel like not enough vocal coaches react to it or to prince in general. It's a bit theater-esk towards the end but the beginning is an amazing song if you want to check it out.
Ok, back to song suggestions. You should hear Celine Dion and Ginette Reno singing "Un peu plus haut". Reno's voice is so powerful that Celine Dion has trouble keeping up. Are you looking for suggestions? (skip the beginning where she sings with a guy)
Would love for you to do some NF songs he sings in. His best singing songs don’t have music video but would like to hear your thoughts on his singing voice. “Can you hold me” featuring Britt Nicole. “Gone” featuring Julia Michaels. And couple songs on his own where all the vocals are his in the song are “Paralyzed”, “Bullet”, “Mistake”, “Running” all great songs, Please would love to hear your thoughts.
@BethRoars My first reply was censored. Best I can say is they got in trouble last year and had to cancel their tour because of some offhand remarks from Kyle.
Personally I did like Jack Black but I'm having a hard time getting over his politics and the fact his partner on stage wished that the assassination on Trump was successful before that I lost faith in him when he showed support to black lives matter... when all lives matter... I'm with Kurt Russell I don't like my favorite actors showing their politics when they spend most of their lives in fantasy land either on stage or in a movie... it's nice to see actors and famous people take a stand for things like animal cruelty but polarizing topics they need to learn to stay away from and just say no comment
I think using your platform to fight for marginalised people are the way to go. Then maybe things actually can get better. You don’t stop believing in things just because you become famous. And seeing as you draw the line at black people being people for not liking someone? That’s very shady and scummy. Maybe think about WHY people need a black matter movement, why we need to still fight for women’s rights. Music and entertainment has always been political. Learn the history
Black lives matter is about systemic racism, replying to it with all lives matter is like going to a cancer support group and asking them if they've ever considered that there are other diseases in the world, nothing about caring about a cause prevents other causes from also being cared about, and not all causes that are worth caring about have to be directly about you.
@johnburnscrystaljack according to my research and I even asked around systemic racism doesn't exist anymore it did but now we have countermeasures against that... how else do you think we have so many black people in Hollywood and in so many other fields... systemic racism is an excuse... oh life is to hard so it's the system that is the problem if systemic racism really exists then how did Obama become president surely if it did exist that wouldn't be allowed
I guess it's true that if you put "reaction" and don't put "first time" then technically it's the truth, but it doesn't absolve it from being pure clickbait. That's really not cool. The great thing about this song is seeing how people respond to it, and if they notice all the great cameos, or the Nirvana song at the end.
The casting of the kid for young black is casting perfection.
Kid fucking nailed it.
This whole movie was so fucking good.
he played kid jack black in nacho libre as well
I'm fully convinced he's actually a clone of Jack Black...
That kid is btw Troy Gentile, we all know him now as Barry Goldberg from the comedy show The Goldbergs.
@NecramoniumVideo Big Tasty 😅
RIP Meatloaf. And Dio.
And Olivia Newton John.
@ …was she in this clip? Yes, rip
Meat Loaf doing a cameo was such a huge deal at the time too. I worked at the theater when this movie came out and would duck in and listen to this and the ending any chance I got.
Whoever hired that kid was inspired. He owns all of Jack Black’s facial expressions.
Dio's voice still gives me shivers on the regular. To do that right after Meat Loaf was singing...man, what legends! RIP to them both. I'm so happy to live in an era when we can preserve performances, both so we ca enjoy them and also to hopefully give amazing performers some degree of immortality.
And to think Dio blew out the microphone the first time he recorded his song, luckily he had his own personal microphone with him.
@@NecramoniumVideo I did not know that. lol, and awesome!
The kid who is playing the young Jack Black Aka J.P is Tony Gentile Who played Barry Goldberg on the Goldbergs !!
J.B. not J.P.
Yay Im so glad you watched this sequence from Pick of Destiny! Even though its theatrical theres a lot of wonderful hidden gems. Favorite part is at the end when he sings rooock and elevates on the second time. Thank you for reaction \m/
This was hilarious!
Jack black is always amazing, and I was so happy to hear him doing Hit Me Baby One More Time last year
This is fantastic. It’s a three-for-one analysis! And one of the three is DIO!
He also had his own band Dio ! He is amazing he did this in one take !!!
Holy Diver!!! who knew :P
I love Jack Black so much and this is just a HELL of a trio. RIP Ronnie James Dio and Meat Loaf o7

Anybody said to me that Dio recorded in one-take his part! is it real? Fabulous!
The story is he broke the studio mic with his epic voice, so he fetched his own from his car and subsequently nailed it. :)
this is the studio video - th-cam.com/video/G4YgA0mSF0Q/w-d-xo.html
I went from a Fight Club themed video to this. Meatloaf twice in a row.
His name was Robert Paulson
Should watch a Rocky Horror themed video next.
There are several places named Kickapoo in various US states, the name originally comes from a Native American tribe.
Young Jack Black grew up to star in the sitcom The Goldbergs.
I love how the Dad almost sound like the King, like a fight between 2 generations of rockers
Hey yo, forget work, I’m watching this reaction
Kickapoo IS actually a town in Missouri! (Never been there, but my brother lives in Kansas and my wife lived in Oklahoma.)
Miss,you are GORGEOUS
This is good--thanks!
Kickapoo is in Indiana !!
There are 3 different Kickapoos in the States, but Kickapoo, Missouri is a fictional location. Best movie!
Named after a Native American tribe
@kevgmei nope...there really is a kickapoo, Missouri and Kansas. We also have a Kickapoo, Wisconsin...they were a native Algonquin tribe of our state
@ That's actually pretty cool!
Best video to watch for this song, though the Sing Along gets a few lyrics wrong.
So Jack Black did a song with MeatLoaf on his “Hang Cool Teddy Bear” album, called “Like A Rose”
Was cool to hear them collab again.
Tenacious D, Meat Loaf, Dio and Beth - can it get any better? :D
This song, the video and JB getting Meat Loaf and Dio to work with him, is a total underrated masterpiece.
And i still believe it's based on his real story.
Thanks for making me laugh a lot on this reaction video
btw: what about a colab of Tenacious D and Beth? ;)
Just gotta say, you're looking fantastic.
Jack Black is one of the best artists of all times as far as I'm concerned. An amazing singer, great actor, master of comedy.
this song and this movie is legendary! please also do master exploder! it's my fave song from pick of destiny

One that I think you'd appreciate is Valhallelujah from nanowar of steel. Absolutely hilarious 😂
3 Little Pigs by Green Jello.
Toehider's "Funnythings", though it doesn't seem to have a video so it needs to be a studio verson
Mississippi Squirrel Revival from Ray Stevens
Another example of musical comedy : Tim Minchin's "Prejudice".
Dio in the studio with Jack Black for this part - th-cam.com/video/G4YgA0mSF0Q/w-d-xo.html
Thank you! Never see it before.
One take ... He was a master
Meatloaf always had the best cameos
Best movie intro ever!
My favourite part about this song is that I've seen some behind the scenes footage that Dio literally broke their microphone on his first take, and used one of his own. Yes, his was was that f*ckin powerful like Master Exploder jokes.
Dio solo was made in one take just shows how goat dio was
I see a new Beth Roars song and I immediately watch it 😊
Meatloaf only 2 movies. “Rocky Horror” and “Pick”.
I freakin' wuv Tenacious D!
(And, Meatloaf and Dio too!)
Excellent observations Beth! Also, a very well-constructed video & analysis!
2:16 lol i like the pop up Notices lol
beth please do star turn "stars on 45 pints",his vocal delivery will have you creased.it's what vic reeves robbed to do the pub singer round on shooting stars.may i add you look absolutely stunning today, keep it coming beth love your reactions
Nobody ever mentions Maynard Keegans cameo as a the museum security guard in this movie
Fascinante vídeo un soñador en una familia conservadora me encantó todo el desenlace de la historia del protagonista bien Beth 👏👏🍀🍀 mis 👁️👁️ H.❤
You are the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen :)
I never knew that was Barry Goldberg!
Rest in Power Dio
Jack Black playing with tounge placement and letting air going around inside the mouth! He's a very playful person exploring sounds! Obviously not classically trained! And isn't that glorious?
The Kickapoo tribal reservation is in Kansas.
Absolut great movie. love it Ronnie is so good. My hero
2 other music videos on the same theme are Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It and the intro to Michael Jackson - Black and White
Beth, could you do a reaction to two of polish nominees for Eurovision this year? There are two interesting options: Chrust - Tempo and Sw@da i Niczos - Lusterka. I'm really curious what would you think about them.
"His name is Robert Paulsen"
ik this video isn't about prince in the slightest but have you heard temptation by prince? its his most vocally crazy song in my opinion and I feel like not enough vocal coaches react to it or to prince in general. It's a bit theater-esk towards the end but the beginning is an amazing song if you want to check it out.
It wasn't until your edit that I realised Young JB is also a dead ringer for Meatloaf.
Meatloaf ripping a bat off the wall...meta?
JB sings like he act... He plays this over the top caracter that's so funny...
As you've enjoyed the humour, perhaps try something by Nanowar of Steel [recommend Norwegian Regeatron]
Hi Beth, good nigh from México
You should watch the movie this video clip is taken from, Tenacious D in "The Pick of Destiny"
I love JB! ❤🤘
I'd check the closed captions for the English version snd give it a once-over...
"It twas I!
hope you make reaction to Belzeboss scene.
Yes kickapoo is a real place in Missouri it's not far from where I live and we used to play school sports against them
Ok, back to song suggestions. You should hear Celine Dion and Ginette Reno singing "Un peu plus haut". Reno's voice is so powerful that Celine Dion has trouble keeping up. Are you looking for suggestions? (skip the beginning where she sings with a guy)
Inward Signing!!!!!
Am I the only one that hears Meatloafs portion of the song and think it sounds like it could have been written by Pete Townsend for Tommy?
Would love for you to do some NF songs he sings in. Also Jack Black said DIO did that in one take
Kickapoo isn't a song, it's a mini rock musical. :)
I don't know if you knew it but "Dio" is an italian word that means "God"
Yes, Kickapoo is a real place. It's a Native American word.
I think Jack could actually tackle a more serious musical theater role without some of his more over the top expression.
Is this a re-reaction? I’m confused
Hi, do Falling in Reverse Last Resort Reimagined
Please see b'z love Phantom live gym 1995
can you please react to the song Habibi by Tamino??
React to SKYND again
Please, react to Hiroyuki Sawano / Project emU
Fun fact: "Dio" in Italian means God, so he was technically religious and praying to god 🤣
and then KG made that joke (F)
Yeah bit too real that. Some things are best left unsaid.
A Tenacious D reaction the same day Trump is sworn in. 🤔
Ooo. I’m interested to know why you think that is connected?
@@BethRoarsTenacious D had to cancel their tour last year after Kyle made some remarks about the attempt on Trump.
@BethRoars My first reply was censored. Best I can say is they got in trouble last year and had to cancel their tour because of some offhand remarks from Kyle.
Dio recording his part!
this is my fav thing meatloaf ever did. hes so talented, but his music isn't for me. this however. holy fuck.
