another thing to note, at the end when he says about the speed and energy upgrades making it go faster and keeping at the same energy level, this is to do with the upgrades cancelling each other out. Basically a speed upgrade makes it mine faster, but it uses the same (proportional) energy. what this means is, for example if before you get 5 ores/ min, with 20 energy needed, (not accurate, just an example), then a speed upgrade would make you get, idk, say, 15 ores/ min, but the energy is scaled up as well, making it 60 energy units. So to have the speed buff without using tons and tons of energy, you need to use the energy upgrade. this basically makes it more efficient, in terms of energy/block/min (or any other time measurement). Basically it uses less energy, but doesnt speed it up. However, speed upgrades are (in terms of what im talking about) twice as powerful, so you need double that amount of energy upgrades to keep it at its base energy level, and still keep the speed buff. This is why he has 4 speed upgrades and 8 energy upgrades. Great video!
These have been the most useful tutorials ive found for pretty much any mod for a long time. It get very frustrating when it says "just check the wiki" and there's nothing there's. Or when you watch other videos that assume you to have a certain amount of knowledge already. You make it very simple to understand and follow

pro tip: if you're using the osmium compressor, but you're low on osmium... if you just throw all the pieces you need into the machine at once, it'll use a tiny bit more than one ingot per operation. so if you have exactly how many you need, and you toss them all in at once, you'll get one less output than you wanted. if you put them in one at a time, let the process finish before throwing in the next one, then it'll use exactly one ingot per operation. of course, once you get the digital miner, it's not a concern, but until then, osmium can be relatively rare in some modpacks.

Okay so I’m almost done with the build but how do you craft the pressure plate. I had the black stone from the nether and and it just made a plate, how do I make it a pressure plate and not just a plate ?!?!?!?

For some reason, my battery won’t power the miner at all I made sure the eject port were to output. It functions when cabled to the heat generators so idk
Hmm, there is no way to automatically reset the digital miner, huh? Trying to use it in conjunction with AS Mineralis ritual but it won't scan new ores with out resetting it.
Hey! I followed this tutorial and when I pressed start on my digital miner, it did not start mining. It says it is running, but it also says "To mine: 0". I have a full energy cube as the power source. No matter what I try, it just won't seem to run. Do you know what the problem could be?
I have a q, if I build the digital miner somewhere and it has completely mined out the place where it was and there is nothing to mine anymore, is there a way to make it mine somewhere else without rebulding it on another place ?
Not that I know of. Typically people will hook up an entangeloporter and just have the ores teleported where it needs to go and the power supply teleported to it as well.

So, this is my problem: I've started to do a kind of speedrun to digital miner. And, it's pretty much a case of finding enough diamonds. You need enough diamonds to make the refined obsidian, whilst also making those purple and cores. It's actually pretty easy, you go for lava, me I ramp straight into wind power. The problem is, once you get the digital miner, you end up with so much resources coming in there is nothing to do with them. I now have 4 digital miners all with max speed and energy, running into a wall of doubling. At this point I should consider upgrading the base to triple, but what is the point, I have so much ore I can't do anything with it. Once you get digital mining, there is no game left to play. You have everything you will ever need at this point. I have an automatic steel maker that has like 1000 steel already.

@@anandamuhammad4224 It's been a long time. At the start your bottle neck is going to be diamonds and osmium. So, I mine down to 12 or whatever and strip mine. From there you need to start ramping up energy production with wind farms, making steel. The process isn't difficult, just plan out your products, you only need a tiny setup to get things running, but you'll definitely be destroying diamonds into your production, so tip, save all your diamonds for this process, you don't need diamonds for anything else. No diamond armor. When you unlock the digital miner, you can set it to mine only things you need, often you simply won't need certain ores. I will hit the diamonds first with it. Maybe osmium and copper next, a bit of iron. Once you've played this out a few times, you'll get used to the method, and you can do a speedrun of this, if you plan everything out. I think that mekanism is OP. Like, just the digital miner and no doubling is OP, but once you go doubling, it scales out of control. The digital miner can be moved when it's mined everything, so really you only need one.
@@berenscott8999 in currently starting a world ATM. I'm just made my first paxels and osmium sets. I figured out how tae make steels with the basic infusing factory. What should I do after this? Should I grind for diamonds like you said or make another machine or power source since I have the Powah mod which is focused on energy generation. I'm currently in a big need for what task I should do ATM and looks like I found the right person for it cuz I'm kinda having a hard time tryna learn the process and stuff. Maybe we can talk somewhere else like in discord or smth so you can still guide me every once in a while if you don't mind? I really appreciate this. I'm noting this down too as we are speaking!

When I go through the whole tutorial to learn the last thing I need is unobtanium which I don't have Q_Q. (I don't blame the video, my fault for watching a outdated tutorial)
And if you are mining only ores, it's still a 5 digit block count. That is hardly a small working area considering how little effort it is to relocate the miner.

Blackstone also spawns naturally else where such as in veins in the bassalt deltas

Would you know of any machine way to fill buckets with liquid using mekanism? (Like a fluid transposer)
There's a pump. You can insert and remove buckets to fill them. You only need one block of water for it to pump water infinitely too.
Not my idea, but the sink is an ideal watersource, which can be connected to makanism with fluid pipes!

does the area actually get mined / destroyed or does it only generate the ores?
it mines the ore and leave a hole where the ore was, unless you set miner to replace with selected block( cobblestone ect)

Ore enrichment is doubling

The digital miner is just a single placeable block so it isn't difficult to move.
