To fit the indicator in the description you need to unscrew the bulb holder then unscrew the orange bulb and there is a usb type to fit the connector
Do I slot the two pins on the turn signal thing into the two holes on the black thing?

Talking about a coincidence, I did that 2 days ago as well :) They do look cool but the fitment was awful. The light assembly would not fit snug & close to the fender without a tape...

I got these on and they work great when the engine is off but once the engine is on, they flicker flash as apose to that nice sequential light up you get, this happens when i indicate, any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks.
UPDATE FEB 2021: This is now fixed, I bought the incorrect type. Bought the ones you have in your video n they work without issue.
If you could code the sweep to go the other way these would be perfect. I personally feel that the lights should travel behind you as you move not go forward.
But a very informative video non the less, keep it up :)

I noticed that the one you took out was missing the metal clip - the new one has it so the 3M tape should not be necessary. Nice though.

Hi Carl I have them on my 1 series I tried to get the factory to build them the right way for my car but couldn't get them to understand so I bought some and I took them apart and flipped the led board the other way so they now flow front to back as they should 😉

@@CARLISONIT no not really I litterally took a punt they were 12 quid off ebay I thought well if I mess em up I've only lost 12 quid. Heated the casing up to remove the lense then its 2 screws hold in the board one on each end flipped the board around screwed it back together superglued lense back on done !

@@mrts7772 first took of the bit of silicone on the back, heated it up with just a hair dryer. Then gently prised off the lense with a sharp Stanley knife bit by bit a bit fiddly but worth taking your time. The board is screwed in, take those screws out flip the board over the other way. You will notice the board has a notch in it that you will need to recreate with your Stanley knife. You then screw the back in but you have to silicone the front down. Check it works then super glue the cover back on. Re silicone the back where the wires enter the case so it remains water tight and fit to your car !!!

Hey thank you! And nice one also yes it’s completely water proof, but this depends how you attach it on i’ve used the double sided tape and had no issues and UK weather is terrible always raining and it still works like a charm 👍🏾

I’ve ordered mine from eBay a couple days ago from watching your videos thanks ! but I’ve got a e87 07 one I want white bulbs instead of the standard yellow bulbs they have do you know what I should get ? the headlights are all stock

I’ve got plenty of videos for headlights in the video there’s a direct link to the one I have you can only install white bulbs when you upgrade the headlights to be projectors otherwise it will be illegal and dangerous for other road users for HID kit or LEDs th-cam.com/video/B-i09kER06A/w-d-xo.html

Hello, Carl. Why does your indicator seem to clip in, while the product picture on your suggested link shows wires coming out from where yours is a clean socket?
I have ordered two different versions of this side indicators and neither are like the one you displayed in this video, but have different configurations, mostly wires.
I would very much appreciate your assistance with this.

Thanks for the vid. Why did you peel off what looks like the rubber seal and used 3M adhesive instead? Is the 3M necessary?
6ixtynine No probs and it was just a rubber seal it didn’t really serve any purpose and yes the 3M tape is completely necessary 👍🏾
CARL IS ONIT my guess is the rubber seal is to act as a water proof seal. 3M could be an alternative I guess. Just thinking it’d be a pain to get off if it needed to be taken out again. Thanks for the quick response. Nice car!
Yeah that’s probably what it was for also, there was a QC sticker on the rubber seal aswell, I believe it was there to show it has been through quality control and thank you!
You don't need any 3m tape, the metal spring clip hold them on like the Oem one's. Yours are facing the wrong way 🙄
I tried it the other way and it didn’t clip in so I needed the tape and I put mine that way out of personal preference 👍🏾

It looks like it’s going the wrong way. It would look better going towards the back.
7homas 0wen hmm I put it in the same direction as it was from the standard side indicators, plus I’d imagined it as where it is signalling shows its going right on the right hand side and left on left hand side, but if it were the other way around, it would look like its going left on the right hand side and right on the left hand side, do you see where i’m coming from?
Did you do anything to make them pulse in a line? I installed these today and they just light up like standard side lights. Still look good, but was hoping for the line effect

Yes C... I picked up these but I researched your video before I took my ones off I noticed you took off the weather seal... I left mine on.... Have you had any issues replacing that seal with tape?

EzzraOG Nice one and nope not had any problems I used my pressure washer on it and had bad weather too and still it looks and performs well the tape acts as another seal 👍🏾
