  • Mankind has always been reaching for the next frontier. Today this frontier is Space. The future of our species is outwards into space, colonising new planets. We’ll explore this journey; mankind’s next foothold.

A childhood friend, always a clever guy ahead of his time and always loved space. If you read this, remember the Castle Hotel summer holidays in Limassol.
    Proud of you George :)

A recent patent will allow space elevators to be built with current materials.
It has multiple tethers at its center ( for greatest strength ) and fewer tethers
as you move away from center ( for lesser amounts of mass ).
Liftport has plans to build a Lunar elevator from current material.
Using the same material for an Earth based elevator would reach the lunar gravity center
(about 9,000 km AGL) approx. 1/6 G. Add this new concept and you could reach Earth's surface.
We can do this now. Let's get started. What do you think?

dear, Ted: why is your intro always so loud compared to the actual talk?

Good luck with all these wonderful plans! But don't forget the reality of deep-space radiation! Deep-space radiation is one of the biggest obstacles of space-colonization, and/or terraforming any planet out there. Our planet Earth is well-protected, this is why we living beings are thriving here on Earth. But most planets out there in space near or far (including Mars and Earth's moon) are either very weakly protected against space radiation or not protected at all. It depends on each planet's magnetism/gravitational field. So, first be sure to invent and develop a strong enough and reliable enough space radiation shield system. Without this shield system, people and plants or any life forms cannot survive for long! Think about that!

We could use synthetic people, call them Replicants, or better yet because they slavishly work for humanity out there in the Khyber belt we'll call them "Repli-Cans"! :)

what is better for a presentation?
to invite the big boss with a terrible accent?
    or
to invite the highest ranking scientist / leader / engineer from the same company with proper English? Accent is np in general but his is brutal

His accent is just fine, you can understand what he says.

The unintelligible will stay, for sure. Just like selective breeding , we will send only the approved. No barbaric traits should leave home.

Eugenics is wrong dude. We fought a war over this.

@@elias_xp95 yes, but war is a recurring theme, and noting is definitively settled that way. More likely we will establish prison colonies in space, they eventually rebel, and then we have a war between those above, and those below. Then it gets interesting.
