Total airbrush rookie. "Double Action Airbrush" if I win, please. A clear concise explanation about a complex topic. Kulwicki was not "my guy", but I never rooted against him or the "UNDERBIRD". It was great that he got his Championship, and I am a part of a generation of fans that mourn his loss. This video was a great service to me. Thank you for it!!!
Another great video, I have several hot wheels ready for paint. This will be my first time using an airbrush . I would be happy with either one . Thanks for the chance to win one. BOTH
Single action and double action. I have been wanting to start using an airbrush but wasn't sure how to select one. Thanks for the info. I use rattle cans for all of my builds but I think an airbrush would make a world of difference. Again thanks for the info.
Thanks Paul! I saw what you wrote on Facebook in the group about this! Definitely well informed now! Can't wait for the compressor episode! Btw both, single and double action!😁
I don’t know about that. I have a face for radio and a voice for silent pictures. I’m not big on video recording. It takes way too much planning and my time for building/modifying is limited. To have to figure out how to do all of the video is just too much.

I recently started back up on doing model cars and was thinking about get an airbrush so I don't have to spend so much money on spray paint, thanks for the vid and advice
Great stuff Paul. Just entering the art using duracoat for camo and designs on rifles. Great insight and knowledge share. Will plan to pay forward when appropriate.
Very informative! Thanks so much! I have an older Paasche duel action airbrush, but it's never been out of the box. Looking forward to your video on air compressors.
Looking at getting into this hobby. Been watching you, outlaw, DR, and the rest of the guys for some time now. It looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for the great videos. Dual Action 👍
Got my eyes on a talon TG set from Amazon for 79.89 not sure if it comes with different needle sizes. There's not much detail on it. Amazon has a talon for like $160+ it does come with different needle sizes. I haven't made up my mind on which I'll get. The VL series I'll be looking at as well.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this!! This is the best how-to I've seen on airbrushes. Found your channel recently by way of a recommendation from Bare Metal Hot Wheels.
Great videos brother . I have the harbor freight dual action . Havnt used it yet tho due to lack of knowledge on what compressor to use . Awesome of you to give them away . Good luck everyone
Thanks Paul, a lot of useful information that takes years to gather. I am actually preparing to purchase an airbrush system. I would be grateful if I won either the single action system or the double action system. Thanks again for the great information.
*Single-action* OR *Double-action* ~ either one would be *wonderful* 👌 I've never used one and would love to learn. I always seem to need the money for something else. Thanks for sharing your expertise, great video. Cheers for now, 🍻 Dougie.
I use a Paasche single action and am always having to adjust flow. It’s a pain in the a** I want a gravity feed but I am new at airbrushing most of my customs I use rattle can. I use airbrush for detail work.
Really interested in learning how to airbrush. What type of compressor is needed for say the paasche talon brush? And could you get a compressor at harbor freight or would I need to order it from Amazon? Thanks for the video info.
Brother that is so funny, I just got done watching you and leaving a comment on the compressor video. You definitely know your stuff, so I am feeding off a your every word. Thank you brother.
I think specifically for the Talon. The packing is PTFE not nylon. PTFE is very chemical resistant and should last a good long time unless you are just spraying the most hot stuff or are ramming the needle in and out.
Great info. As I am getting ready to restart restoring again I think I'm going with that Talon airbrush. I got a cheap starter kit with compressor on EBay for $39. The Talon will be a great addition. Just a few pieces away from starting. I need to get into the water slides creating. Need some info on where to get the illustrator software. If you have any tips on making water slides I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, ELG
Awesome information Paul, do you use size 3 to paint cars? Awesome mag very cool thankyou Rgds KC Single action & double Acton want to convert from rattle can
Well thank you very much Uncle Paul I appreciate it's good I am thinking about getting A air brush I have been painting cars with a paintbrush Since I was 10 years old and I am now 60 and I would Try to see what it was like to paint with an air brush And this will help and I will Harbor freight to get my airbrush I will get the one you told us to get for a 60 What about a compressor What do you recommend As far as a compressor sir
Both I'm trying to start a you tube channel , trying to get things together for first of year , thank you alot I've learn a lot from you and the other GODFATHERS. of diecast
This being an older video I'm not sure you'll even see this. But Thanks Paul. Been a follower for some time. In my case it's not using the air brush that I find intimidating... it's CLEANING the brush. If that takes long than the actual paint job... I would stick to rattle cans. Do you have a vid that shows best methods for cleaning an air brush? I think that's the only thing holding me back.
Ed, it does take a while to clean your airbrush properly with the results that you get with the airbrush versus a rattle can are definitely well worth it. Don’t hesitate to reach out and ask questions. Check out my playlist in the how to section, there are many videos that will help you with what you do. And again if you have any questions reach out, thank you for following the channel and cheers
Hey Paul just finished watching this video because I’m looking to make the switch into airbrushing. Now I really don’t wanna go cheap and buy something that I’ll master quick or that I can’t find parts for so I really like those Paasche’s that you showed. I’m looking for a dual action gravity fed one like the one you use. I’m seeing a couple different ones on Amazon so what is the exact one you use called that comes with the kit? I do also already have a pancake compressor so I’m good with that so far. Really enjoyed this video as well and the way you explain everything. 👍🏻
I think they start out that this brush hair would be absolutely perfect for you. And you don’t need to spend a ton of money. Please feel free to reach out. Ask some questions if you need to, but this is definitely the way to go.
@@DiecastGraveyard That looks like a pretty good bang for my buck and comes with everything that I would need as well. Never heard of that brand though have you personally used one of these before? Also are they’re replacement parts available for it?
DOUBLE ACTION My 13 year old son and I are just getting started customizing and restoring 1/64 scale diecast. The last custom I did was about 20 years ago. I only used spray cans. My plan is to purchase an airbrush kit. Should I win this it would be a good start to our hobby together.
@@DiecastGraveyard about two weeks ago my son decided to do his first custom. He did an amazing job! I would love to show you but I don't want to post my email on here. Not sure if it's safe to post that or not in the comments section.
I see, that video is over a year old. So those brushes are long gone but the Movie/TV build off video there’s an airbrush being given away to the winner.
I was thinking about using an airbrush for touch up automotive paint. Custom color paint is expensive. A small touch up bottle of paint would go further in an airbrush for small damage repairs...
Woah! Love the Alan Kulwicki ending! What crazy details on that shirt! Ford Underbird!
