Dear Yo Yo Ma , I watched the performance at at the Okinawa this year during COVID19 pandemic. I wish i could listen to your music in the forest( my mom was saying same thing) I didn't think I was able to listen you live in my life time!!
I was in the Army from 1990 to 2002 and have some hard nights going to sleep, so I watch your TH-cam channel to drift off to sleep and surprisingly I don't have memory nightmares. I was in orchestra in junior high and high school, I played the viola and bass. I played the viola until my instructor told me that I can't support the cello because I would stop playing and listen to the cellos so he moved me to the bass. Thank you for creating this channel that I rely on so much. ❤ What I love about the cello is how it resonates throughout the hall and into your soul. It is most definitely the instrument of the soul and you hear it every time the bow touches the cat gut strings
Your smile, your music, your wishes in both Chinese and English, all help get me through. You are a good man, a kind and generous human being.
