I completed 20000 plus kms on my SF 250. Bike is smooth with aggressive acceleration but vibrations are evident above 110 kmph. Rear brake bite and feedback is just average. Battery issues are seen that are related mostly to ignition. Turning radius is too much however its easy to cut through traffic. Mileage is around 30 kmpl but company claims 38. Service charges and spares prices are low when compared to other 250 cc bikes. Changed my chain after 16000 kms. Front led is not adequate in highways. Bike doesn’t slip much and plants stable on wet road. Also replaced spark plug. Ecstar oil is super and cheap than Motul. It’s a standard bike with Japanese DNA.
I heard that the battery consumption is due to the front headlights. Some gixxer owners in my city corrected that issue by having a separate switch installed for the headlights.

I have covered 6800kms in 5mnths n till now I didnt have any issue, changed the front disc pad on my 2nd servising. Tyre I have replaced to Apollo H1 the day I bought the bike n it give a better grip than MRF, riden in dry n rainy days too.. no issue.. Rear braking is not that good like the front brake and the rear ABS is too sensitive. Mirror as you have mention I faced the same so I changed the mirror. Suzuki must update with better braking & mirror, tall visor, led indicators... Other than this I am satisfied till now🤗
With what ever little knowledge I have....get your electric supply mapped from the magnet assembly. I feel that your battery Regulator/Rectifier needs a look whether its able to charge the battery or not...best would be to see if the service center has a spare..borrow Regulator/Rectifier for a day and check if your battery is still discharging or not. Wobbling at lower speed is due to low / high air pressure in the tires, poor tire quality or grip, wheel / body alignment and finally weight distribution..i also had the same problem on my bike...mine was due to weight distribution and wheel alignment..i DO NOT have suzuki gixxer 😉 Brother your bike's side profile is very attractive...and the rear seat cover with the red suzuki logo compliments your bike's over all looks... drive safely.
changed front brake pad 3 times in 10000 km, I own BS4 version. Also faced cone set issue at 5000 km. Asked them to replace at 10k km, they are not able to fix it properly. Motorcycle pulling to right. Got it fixed from outside but the issue still persists. Also lockset wire got burned out in middle of ride on highway, got it patched from outside, they have denied warranty. Still running with patched lockset for 6k km. Engine is good, but reliability of parts is questionable, might be with my unit only. Also I have faced more issues due to SVC than without SVC. If I don't service it , the motorcycle runs fine. Once I get it serviced from them, it starts giving issues. Also Chain set gone at 10km km. Outside mechanic has asked me to get it changed at 15k km. It might be due to poor maintenance of chain though.
My Gixxer 250 also has a battery issue, and the rear brake is very bad. My Gixxer 250 provides 38-41 kmpl when I drive it below 4000 rpm. very very low maintenance 250cc in this class. The service experience is also very good with the company service Center .
Hi @Techme I have the same issues with Gixxer SF 250 like side mirrors disk pad and all. Just for handle wobble like you said check your front wheel rim may be there could be a dent. For battery, the battery life is indeed not so long but I changed my battery at 23000 kms and for sometime my bike was idle. Get a check into the chip that connects the FI engine and battery. May be it could be a minor wire problem or you will have to get that chip changed Only if you still have any of these problems.🤪

Mera height around 5.6in hain aur main thoda heavy hu so wanted to know ki sf main long ride main back ache hogi kiya. I also live in delhi but i want to use this bike for long rides so how is the comfort for back pain. I like classic reborn as it is a touring bike but has low top end speed and only 5 gears. Please help.
Hello bro... Take test rides of both the bikes... Then decide... 5.6" height is not an issue for gixxer... N one thing gixxer suspension setup is on the harder side for high speed stability.. In the end I'll recommend you to take test ride then decide..

Brother i am very confused to buy between Mt 15 bs4 and Gixxer 250. My brother suggest to buy mt 15 as it has liquid cool engine, sliper clutch and according to his opinion mt15 will be lasting far more than gixxer 250 because of liquid cool engine and it's engine reliablity. Whether he said gixxer 250 is oil cooled and it's engine will be heated and will vibrate more than mt15.. Please give me some advice..
Bro if u r asking me... I have ridden both the bikes.. I will suggest you gixxer not because I'm using, just because undoubtedly gixxer has oil cooling and MT15 is having liquid cooling but gixxer's cooling system is way better than MT15, i have done 50k kms with my gixxer and 90% of the kms i had ridden in city traffic never felt heating at all... And both the bikes are japanese and japanese lasts longer if u care your bike... And yes gixxer doesn't have slipper clutch I'm also missing this feature but gixxer has more power more space bigger tyres and it's engine 😍😍 if u are riding in 35kmph in 4th gear or 5th gear and you pull directly on the same gear gixxer will never lag gixxer will pull to it's potential.. After 50k kms i still not able to make up my mind to change this bike... After all this the only thing I would suggest take a test ride of both the bikes then decide and get your bike serviced in front of you...

I've noticed some paint peeling off from the fuel tank cap & some other areas, and a bit of rusting on the handlebar and footpegs in just one year in SF. I had an FZ16 before this and such things hadn't happened to it in 7 years.

My SF 250 bs6 clutch lever is very hard and causes sore finger and palm any suggestions pliss help

Mera gixxer sf 155 hai aur main front tyre change kiya tha 40300 meh kiya tha aur rear tyre 26000 peh I'm happy with tyre life but power 🥱

Brother i am very confused to buy between Mt 15 bs4 and Gixxer 250. My brother suggest to buy mt 15 as it has liquid cool engine, sliper clutch and according to his opinion mt15 will be lasting far more than gixxer 250 because of liquid cool engine and it's engine reliablity. Whether he said gixxer 250 is oil cooled and it's engine will be heated and will vibrate more than mt15..

Bro if u r asking me... I have ridden both the bikes.. I will suggest you gixxer not because I'm using, just because undoubtedly gixxer has oil cooling and MT15 is having liquid cooling but gixxer's cooling system is way better than MT15, i have done 50k kms with my gixxer and 90% of the kms i had ridden in city traffic never felt heating at all... And both the bikes are japanese and japanese lasts longer if u care your bike... And yes gixxer doesn't have slipper clutch I'm also missing this feature but gixxer has more power more space bigger tyres and it's engine 😍😍 if u are riding in 35kmph in 4th gear or 5th gear and you pull directly on the same gear gixxer will never lag gixxer will pull to it's potential.. After 50k kms i still not able to make up my mind to change this bike...
After all this the only thing I would suggest take a test ride of both the bikes then decide and get your bike serviced in front of you...

Sf250 or the Gixxer 250. Because everything the FZ25 lacks, the Gixxer 250s make up for it.
I've noticed some paint peeling off from the fuel tank cap & some other areas, and a bit of rusting on the handlebar and footpegs in just one year in SF. I had an FZ16 before this and such things hadn't happened to it in 7 years.

Nope bro… Bajaj is also in the same track… before gixxer I had pulsar… At that time I had suffered so many issues and I sold pulsar because of the them..

I faced 3 problems:- small visor, scooty type horn, buzz/vibrations after 7k rpm.
How is the headlight performance at night ? The naked version has poor illumination
Performance is very good… much better than R15 V3
