Normally I do not comment on others statements but I must disagree with you Tim Ballentine. Why does there have to be a direct mention of "God" in the lyrics? I think the meaning of the song could be interpreted to be about keeping ones faith strong and trusting in the lord because ultimately that is what truly matters. "If the bones are good (Faith is strong) the rest don't matter, paint can peel, glass can shatter, let it rain (bad things happen but we will get through it because we trust in god). I know music can be very symbolic and can mean different things to different people but to me, this is the message I took from it. And I must also add I was very moved by this rendition.

I love this song, but why sing it in church? Very not appropriate.

There is a verse in the Bible on staying connected to the vine. The vine being Jesus. Make your foundation God and let him lead.

Great singing and great song, but it is sung in church without one reference to Christ or the Gospel. When "church" becomes nothing but goat entertainment centers,Satan in pleased.

This is the issue with Christianity and dogma in general. I’m sorry to say but your perception and judgement based on your statement, is obtuse and superficial at best. Why does a song have to mention the word God or Christ to have a worthwhile message? Far too often Christian’s conflate the idea that just because a song doesn’t say “Jesus loves you” a million times over or “we worship you oh lord,” that it’s automatically blasphemous. Music at its best is about the human condition. I’m not saying all music is pure of intention or anything like that, but this idea that it’s automatically satanic or the fact that you’re going to label something as such that you don’t necessarily agree with, is very ill informed…irresponsible and quite honestly not very Christ like. I swear man, “religious” people are some of the least religious people there are. The inflated ego’s some of you guys and gals possess are quite astounding.
