    Thanks, Brian! I was thinking of taking my car to the shop - they charge $300 to replace the spark plugs (spark plugs included) but after watching your video, I'll just do it myself. For the sane amount I could get the tools and replace the spark plug wires as well...will use your links to buy the wires and plugs, but the boot puller is out of stock.

    2005 / 2011 is a W164 ml
    the one your working on to me looked like 1998 / 2004 w163 ml

    That's not a W164, they no longer used the M112/113 engines. Thae car in the video is a 1998-2005 W163 with the V6 M112 engine.

      Gary Yung The wires break very easily when servicing them so just about every time I try to reuse them they have a misfire. Thank you for watching all the videos Gary!

    Is it possible to do it without the boot puller?

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes if you’re replacing the wires you can use anything you want you don’t have to worry about damaging them. If you going to reuse them then you have to be careful they do damage easily.

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bruno Fotis yep two spark plugs per cylinder. Although there is a lot of them they’re not terribly hard to do.

      @@HowtoAutomotive Thank you for the video. Is there a diagram that shows order of the wires? A/B is self explanatory, but different length wires get confusing if they get mixed up.
