This is going to be gorgeous when you are done! I would love to see a video of just flat coloring with a little shade. That would be helpful. I always feel like I have to shade for a page to look good, so it takes me forever to complete a page. TFS

I so agree😂 grass and leaves green, sky blue or sunset orange/red it’s hard to break from the mold but it sometimes becomes boring and even though it’s a struggle it’s good to be different. Even harder for me in my 70’s 🤣🤣

I have always enjoyed parts of the color along, as it shows types of methods, and taking your time is a must!. I have learned that is the only way to create a colorful story in the books I love to use my imagination in. As for The Kalour 300s, well since they do not make a case of 300 single slots, I can go without as well. I do not have the Derwent at all, so I am not bothered by all the fuss. I have been learning to enjoy what I have accumulated and HAVE FUN!!

Great page Emma! Love your color selections so far. I also struggle with things not being “Earth” colors (wood - brown, water - blue), but I’m trying to step outside my comfort zone in this Alien Worlds book (it’s a first world problem 😂). TFS!

Hi Emma, I truly love watching color a longs and also listen to what you have to say. I honestly wouldn't mind living in a world where the rocks are vibrant shades of blue and the aliens are purple/violet! A great way to spend an hour's time.🤗

I'd love to see the new Inktense colours swatched, I saw them in the Derwent e-mail but it's not the same as seeing them used, and it will encourage me to experiment with mine more. Your colour choice for the alien is really working well, and I look forward to the Kalour unboxing and first impression video. It's lovely to hear you chat Emma,and the hour has flown by so see you in the next video. :-)

FINALLY!! some one is coloring with kalour pencils. 99% of the coloring videos is always Prisma and then I have to start guessing which of my kalours pencils is similar. it's good to just be able to pick a color of a pencil I already own without guessing
I have had a few people ask for them so here we are lol.... I try to use as many different types as I can.... And prima are not cheap here in the UK
Emma I was born in England but came to Australia in 1974 at the age of 25, I love finding colourists from the UK the accents so take me back, I was born in Birmingham and the accents from there can be so broad. Iv met people here from the UK and have sometimes guessed where they are from.

It can take me anywhere between a week to 2 weeks to do a picture in between working. If you rush a picture it isn't going to turn out as good or how you like it.

I use the t'gaal on the shortest setting

I’m nearly 75, I’m just interested to know if you know when and why did females collectively be referred to as ‘guys’ ? Everyone seems to be saying it, I am not offended as such it just feels a bit strange. Guys have always meant men. 😅😅 tell me what you all think and feel if that’s ok. I do like watching you colour I learn all the time watching others. It’s helpful too sometimes not having to choose the colours myself. 😊
Hi hun..... I know what you mean hun it's an age thing I guess..... Gender terms seem to be more unisex now and my nurses are younger than me so it puts me in bad habits lol
