- Friday Night Funkin' VS Yourself with Herself in spirit for the PC in 2160p Ultra HD. This mod is directed by churgneygurgney9895: / @churgneygurgney9895
Hit Single Real got a new update, they added a bunch of new songs, one of them being silly billy and a few songs/sprites/game modes. In silly billy Boyfriend is confronting yourself who is behind the mirror. yourself is not an corrupted bf.exe, it's actually bf in alternate universe and if you pay close attention you'll also see a gf verison of yourself during the lyrics part which she also sing along aside yourself in spirit. Dang that's no fair, it's feels like 2 on 1. Where's the real girlfriend at? Where can GF be?
The silly billy song was inspired by Subterfuge. I'll update my description If I find any other important info related to it. There might be even more secrets left uncovered.

he's originally created by Divide (who sadly passed away, RIP.) who was a dev for the og sonic.exe mod and created faker/exe's sprites
so far I haven't seen any devs calling it lookalike just yet. I've seen a few calling it "yourself" though. But you're right, Silly billy is a tribute to divide because of lookalike originally being his character.

You can tell that there's such raw emotion behind those lyrics that were intentionally directed towards Divide, i just know it. The overall verse as a whole is a clear reference to the team's desire of wanting him to see the hard work they've put in his memory, wishing that he could aknowledge it and say how proud he is of the team. "stay awake just long enough to see my way" is a clear message that altough the character will never be like it was intented to, the team has tried their best at creating their own version of the project, which in this case is literally "their way."
I swear to god- as soon as i connected the dots, i almost felt like crying. There's such raw emotion behind the lyrics as a whole and it just goes to show how much the developers cared for Divide. May he rest in peace.

Strange but cool fact about Yourself's special animation sprite: The animation is actually a sprite map, NOT just a bunch of frames. (Honestly this is even more complicated to me XD)
EDIT: Just found out only the start of the animation it uses the sprite map, then when it fades in to the thing with the purple circle effects and himself facing the camera, it then uses a video instead.

You may have heard/known his name from the VS Sonic.exe team from version 2, "Yourself" was going to show up and appear in version 3.5 of The encore songs of the mod.

The most probable thing is that Yourself was going to appear in the encore version of Black Sun, since Divide created both Yourself and Faker Sonic. But sadly we will never see that, not only because the mod is canceled, but also because Divide sadly passed away, thanks for your creations Divide.

5:48 I think that the lyrics are not directly sang for GF, is for Divide. The “How proud you are from me” and the “Stay awake” (the awake I think that means alive) represents that although he is dead, Yourself knows that in the heaven, Divide will be hearing the voice of his own creation. It’s a beautiful message that always makes me sad when I hear it.
Apparently, the "fake" BF called Yourself is in a AU version where BF is a Angel and Girlfriend is a Demon. Heaven ordered that GF to be killed for whatever reason and this destroyed Yourself and caused him to rip off his own wings and go insane. Some parts of GF reside in his mic (he doesn't know this) and the only time where he could simply feel her again is when he sings sometimes, deeply wanting to be loved and receiving support again but can't.
At least it's what I heard from others so far, but I hope this is actually his story cuz the part where you see that red silhouette looks pretty similar to GF, if you pause just enough, you can see more of her arms and hands embracing BF.

The song is in memory of divided because this SPRITE was supposed to be in the sonic.exe mod he made but sadly didn’t make it due to his passing, so they carried his legacy on in this mod! Also the party when he sing, referring to GF his passed away ver and divided!

At this moment you can see the love he has for GF (Herself), being the most nostalgic and loving song that BF (Yourself) sings, and I can also imagine coming to see another him from another reality, and at the same time challenging him to a rap fight, for him it's like taking a break and getting all those repressed emotions out of his universe. and the most painful thing is that in the canon, when BF raps, he always has a confident smile on his face, but for him, it is not just a habit, but he feels pure happiness to sing again seriously like he did in the past

The lyrcis of the song "il make you say how proud you are of me, so stay awake, just long enough to see my way." was a message from the creators of the mod hoping that Divine can see this message in the after life but hid it to pretend that Yourself was saying this message to herself.

i saw this from a comment in a short, apparently the person that made the og idea for this mod died in sleep due to cancer. His name was Divide (some people call him Divine) . Some people saw his sketch about yourself and they decided to make this mod and the "so stay awake" part is probably referencing to telling Divide to stay awake and see this mod, he will probably be proud of them

He didn't die in his sleep, and he didn't have cancer, but he did pass away a couple years ago. Nobody actually knows how Divide died, and I'm assuming the people that do know chose to keep it private. It was a real shame though, I'm sure Divide was a pretty cool dude :(

i don't see any comments mentioning the unlockable content in this mod so i'll just say it,
the Garn47 side game isn't just for show, it actually UNLOCKS the four secret songs if you complete their objectives.
Car's Little Song is the hardest one to unlock normally since you actually have to guide Car to the goal at the end of the area, the rest of the songs you just need to find their spots and press the buttons in them. there's other easter eggs too but that's besides the point
normally Tri Torial actually shows you how to hit the extra notes, and even in the settings the controls menu allows you to rebind the extra keys used for it, even if the song isn't unlocked

Ooooh, the twisting he does could represent how empty he feels inside. He's alone, loveless, and has just given up, falling from a deep depression and slipping into absolute madness, desperate to hear her voice one more time to feel loved in some capacity, almost ready to end his own life because of this, showing BF a glimpse into his potential future as his final act, begging him to stay strong and protect GF no matter what, despite it being too late for him.
Either he's fully convinced he's doing the right thing with his life (despite his own self destructive behavior) or he wants to hear her say he's on the right path because he's confused, or he's even convinced himself that he's hearing her voice in his head. His "way" is his uncertain, pained path of life that he's recklessly choosing, or maybe his "way" is being shown to BF to also beg him to not go down this path as well. He doesn't attack BF, nor is he truly hostile. He's a dire warning...

@@NickolasAguilar-iw2gqI can’t remember but I’m pretty sure Herself is Yourself’s Girlfriend who died. The red aura around Yourself during the lyric part is her and she appears to be hugging Yourself if you pause at the right time.
@NickolasAguilar-iw2gq basically its Himself's GF, whom died, and now lives within his mic, you see her wrap her arms around Himself during his lyrics, which is actually him singing to her, trying to call out to her, which makes it bittersweet that she heard him.
The lyrics mean so much. I bet the one who was beside divide at the time must’ve been in tears seeing the final product of this masterpiece. I just know it. You did well whoever he is (I didn’t do much research on who is the one who bought Divide’s creation this far). You deserve the praise

This update is wonderful. Really handled Divide's character with so much care and man, this song is definitely gonna stick with me. I love the lyrical section so much, the animations are stellar! Also this mirror room gives me mad Sonic Generations vibes, very fitting.

Apparently, the "fake" BF called Yourself is in a AU version where BF is a Angel and Girlfriend is a Demon. Heaven ordered that GF to be killed for whatever reason and this destroyed Yourself and caused him to rip off his own wings and go insane. Some parts of GF reside in his mic (he doesn't know this) and the only time where he could simply feel her again is when he sings sometimes, deeply wanting to be loved and receiving support again but can't.
At least it's what I heard from others so far, but I hope this is actually his story cuz the part where you see that red silhouette looks pretty similar to GF, if you pause just enough, you can see more of her arms and hands embracing BF.

The stay awake part was because divide had made a file hidden of silly billy but he died in his sleep of cancer and the other devs of the sonic.exe mod (what divide worked on) made this in honer of him

Yourselves story(“fake boyfriend” from the first song) it’s very interesting, he’s not exactly evil he’s a BF from an alternative universe in which his girlfriend died, and he went through an incident that left his body disfigured.
He’s only goal is to receive foundation from someone , hence the phrase “ I’m going to make you say how proud you are of me” at the beginning of the sung part, you can interpret it as if he was saying to his BF or to herself (name given to his version of the GF who died) and after that there’s the” stay awake long enough to see my way” part as if he was telling her to stay alive for a little longer to see him win this battle, which suggests that he is in denial about his death.
He’s a Broken Man(physically, and mentally) can’t deal with the death of his girlfriend and just wants to hear someone say they’re proud of him.
You can also enter Brett these lyrics as if they were directed at divide himself, the characters creator, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago.
