    • Stately Classic Cadillac!
    • Rarely Seen 4-Door Pillar Sedan!
    • Desirable Black on Black!
    • Massive 472ci V8!
    • Automatic Transmission!
    • Super Low, 24,000 ACTUAL Miles!
    • Original Documentation from the Original Owner!
    MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer yet another impressive, triple black 1972 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Brougham Sedan. This particular car is an original 24,000 mile example that is finished in its original color of Sable Black with black leather interior. This is a wonderful driving example that shows every bit of being an original, low mileage car. The paint on the car is in very good, original condition with no major imperfections except for some minor chips to the front of the hood. Otherwise the car is extremely solid with no rot that we have seen anywhere on the car. The original black vinyl top looks great with no rips or tears.
    Inside, the car is nearly spotless with no imperfections to speak of. The original black leather seats look great with no major wear to be found. In the back, you will find that the rear seat is equally as nice and does have foot rests for added comfort for your passengers. The dashboard is solid as well as the steering wheel which shows no cracking. There is no cracking to the detailed wood on the door panels or dash. This is one beautiful Cadillac!
    Under the hood, the massive 472 cubic inch V8 runs great and fires up like a 24,000 mile car should. On the road the car is extremely smooth and just glides down the highway. This is your classic Cadillac land yacht on the highway that will cruise at 80 mph all day long. Under the hood is tidy and original. Mated to the engine is an automatic transmission. It is also equipped with air conditioning, power steering and power front disc brakes. It sits upon a set of the iconic 15" Cadillac "Hundred Spoke" wheels wrapped in P235/75R15 tires that look great.
    Included with the purchase of this handsome Cadillac are original documentation from the original owner from 1972 including the original MFA Application for Insurance, an odometer statement at 16,256 and an original service receipt from Spicer Chevrolet in Neosho, Missouri.
    With the current mileage of 24,092, this is one of the lowest mileage '72 Fleetwood 60 Special Broughams available to the public and won't last long!!! It would make an awesome driver and an even better addition to any Cadillac enthusiast's collection! The VIN is 6B69R2Q107378 and the mileage currently shows 24,092. It is being sold on a clean and clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! / stlclassiccars

    For those of us born on the tail end of the 1960s, early 1970s, today's generation has NO IDEA on what they missed out on as far as cars go. In those days, when you pulled up at Church, a restaurant, bank, etc. in one of these babies, people stopped what they were doing and looked at you with awe and with envy. It was such a status symbol to own and drive those magnificent cars. Today it would take a Rolls Royce to feel that kind of presence driving a car.

    • @painkillerjones6232

      Rolls is the only one left. the rest are all mid-size or SUV's. And yes, the younger generations have missed out, but back then was the time we never thought we'd run out of oil. Global WHAT-ING? The "ozone layer"thing wasn't even a rumor...

    The extra 3" inches of wheelbase in the pre-1977 Fleetwood models doesn't sound like much, but it's all rear legroom. The Devilles, despite their 9" wheelbase stretch, had (like the other C bodies) only 3" more legroom than an Impala (the rest of the extra wheelbase was under the hood to support the huge engine), but the Fleetwood had 6" more, enough to make the rear seats every bit as comfortable as the front. Sure, a car like this might be impractical if you just want to lug it back and forth to work, but if you actually plan to fill it up with people, it has it all over anything short of a van or maybe a Suburban. With more style than either.

    Didn't read everything but no-one mentioned the LOAD LEVELERS or Climate control or automatic high beams or fiber optics showing all lights whether they are working or not. This car was not only a beautiful land cruising barge that had incredible power for it's size and floated across the roughest terrain but was a technological marvel in it's day. I remember sitting on one of the rear taillight fins where that corner of the car would weigh down and in a second it would lift back up to make the car level. There are so many haters here making stupid remarks who obviously have never rode in one or drove one. These cars are masterpiece and have given me many awesome memories. On the down side, they were expensive to repair and had a million bells and whistles that were all analog and or mechanical. I am afraid the younger generations are just not very appreciative of anything.

      Richard Klingler:
      There is nothing remarkable about the Auto Climate Control then ....just a simple set-up of resistors working on resistance values with a electro-solenoid (no computer). The rear suspension is just air shocks with a simple mechanical arm that trips a relay..........nothing technological about it or leap in engineering.
      The "fibre optics" .....just transmit light rays......fibre-optic tubes that could be bought at Radio Shack back in the day.
      I have a 74 Coupe Deville with all the Options including load leveling,etc...yes it floats like a boat from springs that carry barely support the weight of the vehicle if you have more than one passenger or groceries,etc. in the trunk,

      Richard Klingler ...yes Richard, automatic level control, twilight sentinel, headlamp control, cruise control, cornering lights, rear window defogger, rear magnified adjustable reading lights, climate control, tilt/telescope steering wheel, fiber optic lamp monitors, power: windows; seats; door locks; power trunk release with pull down and warning light, head rests, rear foot rests, power mirrors, AM/FM signal seeking stereo radio with 8track tape player, radio foot control, power sunroof, trumpet horns, opera lights, padded vinyl roof...to name a “few” and I’ve probably left something out! Our 72 Fleetwood had all but the sun roof, although we did have the leather seats.....beautiful cars indeed!!!!!

    Amazing that after 43 years this car looks so good...It is showroom quality...They don't make em like this anymore, but need to...With today's tech and new lightweight materials they can make a large car and have it fuel efficient...Nothing beats the space these cars had or the feeling of class..

    Great car. The hood ornament was added as were the wire wheels. The 4-door Fleetwoods were grand cars that some owners preferred to have a driver.

      Hood ornament was part of a package. The basic bage was flat against the hood above the grill while you could get the stand up one in the 60 special package like my Dad's had from factory

    so why do they make huge pickups and suvs like crazy but not cars like this anymore? i guess the common sense answer would be too small of a market, but is that really true?

    • @EbonyBunny1
      @EbonyBunny1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ***** This car is actually bigger than the biggest SUV's. It's about 10 inches longer & about 2 inches wider than a 2015 Chevy Suburban. I guess the biggest reason is, with all it's size it doesn't hold as many people as an SUV or mini van, but it does ride better and is far more comfortable to sit in compared to any car today. A 2015 Rolls Royce is not as comfortable nor does it ride as nicely as a pre 1977 Caddy Fleetwood.

    • @srcoolguy
      @srcoolguy 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      EbonyBunny1 yeah, i had a 87 brougham and now drive a 91 brougham, i just wish they'd make cars like this again. the only thing really out there in recent years was the grand marquis, town car, and crown vic... and they're not quite as nice. can't stand suvs, they don't have the curves.

    • @EbonyBunny1
      @EbonyBunny1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** I haven't liked a Lincoln Town Car since 1989, I never liked the 1990 and newer ones. The only car newer than yous that competes with your car is the 1993-1996 Cadillac Fleetwoods. The 87 & 91 Brougham were basically the same cars, but did you like one over the other.

    • @srcoolguy
      @srcoolguy 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      EbonyBunny1 i didn't really like the 93-96 fleetwoods, they looked weird to me. well my 87 was a d'elegance and also had the 5.7 liter so it wouldn't be fair to compare. it also had leather seats which i didn't like as much, but it had the cool automatic adjusting rear view mirror and analog clock. i like small things like that in addition to the sexy body such as the gas tank behind the license plate... on first dates i love asking the girl to fill up my gas for me and watching her as she struggles to find the gas cap lol, confused face is priceless.

    • @EbonyBunny1
      @EbonyBunny1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ***** I have a 1951 Caddy, and if you think it's funny having the gas tank behind the license plate, mine is in the tail light lol. You push the reflector button and the taillight pops up and you fill the tank that way.
      I like the d'elegance, they are nice cars and I like the pillowy seats. I never liked leather seats. The only cars I liked with leather seats were the 1974-1775 Imperial, and the 1976-1978 Chrysler New Yorker. They had the same type of pillowy seats like the Fleetwood d'elegance, but I like cloth much better than the leather of the Fleetwoods.

    Incredible car. The whole "MAMA WILL LIKE THIS ONE - GRANNY ONLY DROVE IT 3 TIMES SINCE '72 WAKA WAKA WAKA" car-salseman tripe being missing is refreshing. Could do without the GoPro wind noise, though. Spoiled an otherwise decent video. Even though sold, this still needs to be seen. Classy.

    This car is too beautiful, a piece of art, the luxury cars now look too fat and ugly next to this long and fluid Caddy, it looks smooth when it moves and the interior is perfectly preserved, I need this car just now

  • @carluvrsd9374
    @carluvrsd9374 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This is a beautiful car. I liked the 72 interior because it had more chrome. My parents had a 73, with bigger bumpers, the only brights side being that I could stand on top to get more leverage to raise the hood. The 73 door pulls came loose, then broke off.
    The only thing I don't like about this car is the chrome door edge guards.

      @george wilson I know, even the CT6 doesn't hold a candle to a Fleetwood Brougham (my personal favorite Cadillac model)! Personally, if I had bought a 1972 Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham brand new, I also would've special ordered it. The one standard feature I would've at least considered deleting would've been the vinyl roof (as much as I like the look of it) due to their tendency to trap moisture and ultimately rust out the roof. Not to mention, save some money! It could even be ordered that way upon special order, of course. Another thing better about them back then was the ability to choose more color options both exterior and interior. Quite possibly, I would've ordered mine in Russet (a dark yet warm chocolate brown) Firemist Metallic (order code=99; a $128.00 option) with Antique Dark Saddle (a tannish to medium brown) leather upholstery (order code=085; a $169.00 option; better yet, you could even get maximum leather, which used leather in the areas where vinyl was normally applied on the seats, for $325.00 extra on the Fleetwood Brougham in ANY available color, standard or special order!) and IF I had gotten the vinyl roof, it would've been Dark Brown (order code=R; similar in color value to the aforementioned Russet Firemist). An optional feature I also like seeing on these '71-'76 Fleetwoods is the opera lights on the sail panels ('C' pillar), with or, in rare cases, without the vinyl roof.

    Spectacular car!
    My Aunt had this same car, but in red metallic with a white top, red leather interior.
    It had an 8 track player and the little waste basket down by the right foot of the outboard front seat passenger.
    40/60 split dual power front seat.
    Power pull down trunk, with a trunk release button in the glove compartment. And in those days, you could pop the trunk while speeding down the highway at 70 MPH. Don't ask me how I know!
    And no one will ever forget the fold down carpeted foot rests for the two outboard rear seat passengers.

      My mom used to be a private nurse for very wealthy patients in Bel Air and Beverly Hills. In 1977 one of her patients passed away and left her his 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham just like this one. He used to be chauffeur driven to his office in it before he got too old and tired to leave the house. The car had only 15K miles on it and it was mirror finish black color with black interior. I was 21 years old at the time and loved to borrow it once in awhile! Nothing like a Cadillac!

      Chaleco Salvavides These early 1970s Fleetwoods were the last of the great Cadillacs. How lucky you are to have driven your mom's! I've yet to experience driving a car like this.

    • @CH67guy1
      @CH67guy1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chaleco Salvavides I just watched this video again. This car is going on 43 years old, but it has timeless style. Nothing made today comes even close to the style and detail put into these cars. It's sad that there is hardly a single new car at any price today that I would actually like to have. But I gravitate toward 40 to 50 year old Cadillacs.

    • @azchandler1209
      @azchandler1209 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      CH67guy1 My Grandmother had a 1972 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham exactly like the one in the video but in dark blue metallic with a black top and dark blue leather interior. This was a luxury car..The leather seats were real leather, not like the plastic leather they put in cars today and call it leather. Roomy, quiet, the ride was like floating on air, foot rests for the rear seat passengers, individual lights for the rear passengers.. Exterior said class and luxury, with the coach lights, wheel skirts, corning lamps, this car had it all.. The so called luxury cars of today can not compare to the Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. It's a shame that these cars had to go away, wish they would bring them back.

    A gorgeous Caddy. I like the the finished exterior space in the center pillar between the rear doors just shows what a large luxo cruiser this is, additionally the thin windshield pillars show that the engineers were really concerned about providing great visibility. I wonder how much the lucky owner paid for this one.

    That's a beautiful car, However it does seem like a really poor choice of places to stop and film the car the middle of a road with blind curves??? what the hell's the matter with you?

    I had three of these in my lifetime a 69,70 and a 72 they were extremely dependable the 472 engine delivered unbelievable power and an incredible smooth ride load leveling shocks, cruise control, automatic light dimmers, electrics seats, automatic trunk just too much to list how I wish I had one now.

      Thank you CarLuvrSD I think I am gonna hold on to the blk one I have then I don't see alot of factory black ones neither. I'm wonder if this car was a funeral home limo. Usually they have lower than usual miles on them along with hearses. And with it being triple black as well leads one to think it was used as such. Awesome car nonetheless.

    • @EbonyBunny1
      @EbonyBunny1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      stutzman2 This isn't a limo, this is a typical sized car in the 1970's. A 1972 Imperial was even bigger than this car. A mid sized car in the 1970's was bigger than ant full sized car today. It's funny the smaller cars got, the bigger people got lol.

    • @stutzman2
      @stutzman2 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I should have said funeral home car instead of limo.

    • @EbonyBunny1
      @EbonyBunny1 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      stutzman2 It could have been, but could have also just been purchased by someone older, that didn't drive much. These were popular cars & black was probably the most popular color.

    That cae is just wrong. Its lines are broken, it has no aerodynamic flare, it has the chassis of a 19th century horse drawn carriage, it corners like a cow, it's completely impractical so why do I want it more than anything in the world?
