  • The entire history of the Ottoman Empire (All Parts) - 1299 - 1922
The Ottoman Empire was founded circa 1299 by Osman I in northwestern Asia Minor, south of the Byzantine capital Constantinople. The Ottomans crossed into Europe in 1352, moving their capital to Adrianople in 1369. They expanded in Asia Minor by annexing many small Turkic beylics.
They conquered Constantinople in 1453, and then expanded deep into Europe, northern Africa, and the Middle East. The Ottoman territory increased exponentially under Sultan Selim I, who assumed the Caliphate in 1517 as the Ottomans defeated the Mamluks of Egypt and annexed western Arabia, Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Levant. Within the next few decades, much of the North African coast became part of the Ottoman realm. Slowly after many wars and internal problems, the Ottoman sultanate started to crumble. See the entire story in this video!

I completely understand the need to make revenue - it's just that you might end up missing some in the end.. Oh well, you have the statistics and know better, I just thought I'd mention....

and almost same thing happening today between greeks and turkey, they wasting their energy by insisting on their rights without giving any each other. if they'd get along with each other somewhere in the future they would probably quadruple their power or more. Ironically, they refuse to see their past; If they did, they could realize how powerful and prosperous they have been throughout history when the two sides of the Aegean join together.

But with this logic, the Greeks will also want to claim land by saying that the western Anatolia belonged to them thousands of years ago. what happened, the Greeks reclaimed enough land, the Turks protected enough land. maybe they can try to bond with each other with small gestures to solve geopolitical problems. The problem is that they both consider giving little land a matter of honor. this is very old-fashioned and meaningless stubbornness. Both sides are the same in behavioral and cultural matters. Despite their different colors, both sides have the same mindset in terms of both belief and social aspects. Those who do not accept this do not realize that they do not accept it because they are the same. i believe greek and turk allience might shape the next modern century for whole europe and middle east. but they both need suppress the radicals within their country first. do i know how? no, thats the job of the politicians.

Plenty of examples of Courage leading to huge defeat and death and a few where cowardice has lead to out right victory.
Better stratagy, weapons, training and a bigger better equipped army is definitely a better option for victory every time than courage.
Boringly good planners, military leaders who are good at employing the right people in the right places to keep their armies well supplied and led by great tactical Generals are the rulers who really win wars and create the biggest empires.
The further back you go the more influence and effect having a brave leader had on the out come of a battle and it definitely helped but its far from the only thing or the most important thing for a great leader needs to be a conqueror.
Just take Augustus, he was a very average general and not particularly brave, once leaving the sight of a battle before it started and leaving it to his main General Agrippa to lead the battle and all his battles from then on.
It was the one thing that Romans disliked about him and most of his propaganda was trying to make up for this perceived lack. However he was a truly great leader, Emperor and Politician and especially good at the boring stuff of feeding the masses and putting the best people in the right places.

Religion is not a divider of humanity, because religion is one of the symbols in realizing peace and solidarity with humanity.Every religion was revealed as a guide for human life. The universal value of religion is to keep human life in the corridor of harmony, peace and brotherhood. Let us invite the world community to interpret religion as a unifying tool between people to create peace and unity. All religions are said to have the ultimate goal of humanizing humans. We are religious, one of the goals is for humanity, not just for God. One example, one of the commands in Islam to perform prayer or prayer, the true truth in its purpose is that people do not

As is well known, Mehmet II had Çandarlı Halil executed following the capture of Constantinople, primarily as a result of rumors spread by his rivals alleging that he took bribes from Byzantium to dissuade the Sultan from invading the city. According to many historians, another reason for Mehmet's rage was the letter delivered to the retired Sultan at Çandarlı's behest. Amazing history video about the Ottoman Dynasty! Before watching this, I did not know anything about the Ottoman Empire other than it being an Islam state, but this video has given me so much knowledge about the accomplishments each Ottoman ruler has achieved. Keep making more of these qualitative videos! :)

This map is incorrect in some areas. for example Independent Georgian states were never the part of the Ottoman Empire, some of them were only Vassals for some time, but not the part of the Empire:
▶ Duchy of Racha (1050-1789) - de facto independent Georgian entity.
      ▶ Principality of Samtskhe - 1266-1625 AD.
▶ Duchy of Aragvi (1380-1747) - de facto independent Georgian entity.
      ▶ Principality of Svaneti - 1460-1857 AD.
      ▶ Kingdom of Imereti - 1463-1810 AD.
      ▶ Principality of Guria - 1463-1829 AD.
▶ Principality of Abkhazia- 1463-1864 AD.
      ▶ Kingdom of Kakheti - 1465-1762 AD.
      ▶ Kingdom of Kartli - 1478-1762 AD.
▶ Duchy of Ksani (15th c.-1801) - de facto independent Georgian entity.
      ▶ Principality of Mingrelia - 1557-1867 AD.

@@RealEstate660 It is so obvious that you did not research about the Ottomans, the Ottoman Empire was never a murderer, on the contrary, they did not kill anyone innocently because of their religious beliefs, which enabled them to dominate from Europe to the Crimea and from there to eastern Iran and all of North Africa, believe me, for centuries in eastern Europe. If they had committed genocide, they would never have remained in power for that long, on the contrary, the Ottoman Empire gathered scattered and constantly conflicting Communities in Eastern Europe and yes I am proud of it because the Ottoman Empire had a profound effect on today's world. I agree with you, because Europeans don't like the Ottomans very much because they remained in the shadow of the Ottomans for 300-400 years. Also, no one talks about the millions of indigenous people killed by Europeans in America, if you're going to make an impartial comment, please mention them.

@@RealEstate660 As far as I understand, your attitude is not only for the Ottoman Empire. You are against states killing other people to gain power, even if these are soldiers. I agree and support you here, but in the past these had to happen, for religion or not, if you don't kill and grow, they will kill you. I can say that this thought is valid for today.
I wish there were no wars, but unfortunately, even today, developed countries such as Russia and Ukraine are fighting for their own interests (I do not blame Ukraine because it is Russia that started the war). There are still wars in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, and thousands of innocent children and civilians are harmed unjustly. I mean, wars will end when man realizes that he will live without destroying his son (unfortunately, I don't think that will ever happen 😔)

Turks indeed had a decisive role in triggering historical major events like the Migration Period, Crusades, Age of Discovery as well as ending the Middle Ages with the conquest of Constantinople, fall of the Roman Empire.
