PRO TIP!!! If you have already dyed your hair before, and do not want uneven color. Where some is white, some is yellow, and plenty is brass orange... I recommend "Color Oops" hair color remover! It has no bleach or ammonia in it! It smells HORRIBLE, like rotten eggs, but it seriously works! My hair is naturally dark brown. But my dye was Red which is a very difficult color to remove! Color Oops removed all the red dye! My hair came out a golden "dirty blonde"... like a level 6 or 7 blonde... I wanted to do this first, so it would not be as damaging to my hair, as trying to bleach multiple times would have been! Anyways, I then deep conditioned my hair many times as I let my hair rest for two weeks. It wasn't damaged, but I just wanted to ensure I had the healthiest hair possible, in preparation of bleaching! And to be even more gentle as possible, I used the BlondeMe 20 volume oil developer! Refused to go higher than a 20 volume! Plus this one claimed it would moisturize my hair. With the BlondeMe Bleach which says it has Bonding agents in it to help protect the strength of your hair. Lastly, I used this brand because I noticed almost all professional hairstylist in videos seem to use this brand, so I wanted what professionals seem to like! *I only had to bleach my hair ONCE, for 35 minutes, to achieve a level 10 blonde! With only a little yellow in it! Which toning fixed!* Bare in mind my hair was no longer very dark after the Color Oops to remove my red. So that's probably what it lifted to the lightest blonde level so quickly! But I was blown away by this brand of bleach & developer! It was not nearly as damaging or harsh as the L'Oreal quick blue I'd used YEARS ago prior to being red! Yet it was powerful enough to get the job done! After bleaching & toning, I let my hair rest again for a few days! Did a deep condition mask again, just to be safe & take good care of my hair. Then I went in with a Silver Grey hair dye, because that's what I was aiming for. Smokey Silver-Grey! And it turned out perfect & even! Thanks to the bleaching & toning I did beforehand!
As a hairdresser it is possible to go platinum blonde with black hair however many hairdressers refuse to do so as it is very damaging it can easily go wrong and it takes a long time/ multiple appointments! Many hairdressers don’t like to challenge themselves as they are scared that it may go wrong and don’t wanna deal with clients anger or they are completely lazy 😂😂
@@aileen4814several years ago, I bleached my own virgin black Asian hair to platinum using guy tang’s big 9 + 20vol on top with the salon Olaplex system at home. Those products were professional market only so I had to proxy buy them at an extra cost, but the result was way better then the Sally’s stuff I used years before regaining my hair virginity. After about an hour of the first bleach, I did an olaplex treatment and followed with Guy Tang’s protein filler spray (forgot what it’s called) between the two bleaches and then another Olaplex treatment + guy tang’s protein filler before toning and the result was surprisingly uniform, almost zero gold spots too. When I did my roots every 3 weeks, I only needed to bleach it once to match the rest of my hair. I barely had any damage and my hair felt almost as good as it did before right after bleaching, the only difference is that the texture became airier (not frizzy) from what I’m guessing is the reduced melanin but it was still shiny and soft. I maintained it with regular salon olaplex treatments on top of using salon products for my routine. My hair still got damaged but it honestly wasn’t that bad at all, especially after the first couple trims. It felt like my normal hair for the most part until I got tired of the maintenance and dyed it black after a few months. I think hairdressers refuse because platinum blonde on dark hair is uncommon and I’m guessing the info in hair school about it could be outdated. It definitely requires an interest in more artsy and avant-garde coloring to learn the niche tricks to get a good result so I’m glad social media is providing that. @@noandno9549Yup. I know plenty of hairdressers. My sister owns a salon here in NY. Many times I have went back to black. Black box dye at that 😂 and I have had my hair bleached to platinum blonde in one sitting and I’ve never had a problem. The very first time I did it I believe was over 20 yrs ago
I was an almost cosmetologist so i just wanna say something really quick- When the salon says they wont do it, it's not because they think it's impossible, it's because they're afraid of the damage it might cause your hair because that can become a liability for them! In other words it's better for them if you fuck it up yourself because then you can really only be mad at yourself. There's like a 50/50 chance it could work always! i think they were scared because of the 7 years of box dye lol.
to avoid hot roots start applying only from the middle to the ends to start with and then after you’ve processed halfway then do the roots (you can also use a lower developer for the roots too). If you’re ends are really damaged you can do the same and leave the ends outs until you do the roots too!
I'm glad to hear that the videos helped ❤️ you'll be an amazing blonde! My best tip I can give you is to be patient through the process, cause you'll get there!
It is possible! I don't know why so many hairdressers say it's not. I think it's because some people don't wanna wait and have a few sessions but if you are happy to do that I don't get why they constantly refuse it! So annoying!

Now it’s like a brassy tone and the back is uneven but your video gave me hope that I can fix it. This was super helpful!
Think they refuse it because you can have varying results from dark box dye. Sometimes it just doesn't lift and they've shown me. I have had a hairdresser accept the challenge and it was nearly black. They did it gradually but she did try for maximum lift. The lady had bleached blonde hair so she knew the process and she had more experience with bleaching clients hair that was more of a challenge. With box dye it does pick up more reds and oranges and it's more difficult to get out. So it did turn out a lot lighter. Just think they don't want to fry your hair off and give you too high expectations and then you don't like it.
what if you’ve color removed the dye? i got all the black out and just have a medium brown shade now, my natural hair is a dirty blonde and i want to go almost platinum in a salon (don’t trust myself to do it at home) do you think this is possible? my hair is decently healthy i cut it monthly and use olaplex

I don't know why they told you that. I went from 6 years of black box dye to blonde hair. It is definitely possible, however, it is a process, so it took me multiple sessions.
I just watched Brad Mondo's bleaching/coloring tips yesterday. He said to use a color remover first to remove the box dye color... Then bleach your hair. I dyed my hair using box hair dye but I want to dye my hair purple. I have a long process ahead.
Girl they told me the same thing. They said I can't go from black to blue without many sessions. I really don't wanna spend so much money just to get blonde enough. I dye my hair like every month lmaooo. So I'm buying the level 9 as well as the 20 developer and I really hope it works for me and doesn't damage my hair greatly. I have half side shaved that's about shoulder length so wish me luck!
I do also want to go to ashe grey blonde from natural dark brown/blackish hair. I actually found your video really informative and i know its going to take time ,For darker hair colors i heard charcoal bleach does quite well in darker hair colors since it tones while bleaching your hair making it less orange or yellow and does not damage your hair as bad as normal bleaches .So far your video has made me get over my fear of trying to go an ashe blonde
I have gotten from asain black hair to platinum and it's much more affordable than doing it at a salon. I been bleaching my hair for years. I waited for 2 years to rebleach my hair to make it healthier. I used the same bleach as you and its really good and it doesn't damage too much like box bleach. I used a 30 for me. I believe you should use whatever volume you u think its best for your hair. I had to rebleach it twice after waiting 2 weeks it wasn't too damanged except for a few ends but i used a opalex 0 spray overnight and my hair was in a better condition after i left it in overnight . Blonde me is a great bleach
I love the video! If you go back to black and want blonde again definitely try argon oil color fix from sallys! It will pull a lot of the box dye out and save some damage :)
does it cause damage? i did it to my hair and got the black out a month ago and have a medium brown now, i want to go light blonde since i’m naturally blonde anyways but i don’t know if the color remover damaged my hair or if it was just a little dry? i have opaplex at home so i just used that today
Exactly! I felt the same! Blonde hair really has a luminous fun vibe and I love it! 🤍 Honestly I think if you tone blonde hair according to your complexion it will look fantastic!
@@MBeauty Thanks chick. I've got lovely thick hair so I don't really wanna wreck it. 🤣 🤣
I’m naturally a darker brunette (not black, but dark enough that I can’t just die it, I need to lighten first). I’ve been trying to watch as much as i can so I can do it right… but it’s worth it to me to research and take my time to experiment and be able to do it myself… so what is the toner and the other stuff called? Where might I find it?
I'm watching this and I cracked up when you said "hopefully I don't end up on Brad Mondo as a fail" and I look to the right at the video suggestions and there he is criticizing your video lol
Hahaha me missing my blonde now that I'm half red half black but I'll be going blonde again. Wont be so hard since it's just one side that is dark and I used a dye from Sally's so I'll go back for the color fix and quick blue to do all my hair again starting bottom to top and then give myself a trim (since it's that time for a trim).
I was so scared of my hair falling off with bleach (I have Virgin hair) but then I watched all your videos and how many times you bleached it so I’m pretty confident 😂. I was so tempted to bleach it again the next day but I’m so glad you included your mistake of not waiting so I guess I’ll be patient 🥲 thanks for your videos!
I think you might need another bleach session on the orange parts, but I'd recommend waiting 2 weeks so your hair can breathe. I'd also recommend using hydrating masks during that time because they helped me!
Yeah, I knew that which is why I did them last 😂 but I didn't expect the mid lengths and the lengths to be that dark after bleach (it was from all the box dye)
i had a salon completely FRY my hair when i was trying to go blonde from black. i'm so scared to try to get light again but i want to sooo bad :,) my roots are a medium blonde and the mids and ends are different shades of brown. i literally am 👌🏻 tbis close to doing it myself cuz of what the salon did to my hair lol
I'm so sorry that happened! I get it, I was honestly a bit scared to go the second time after what happened the first time 😂 and now I regret going. If I could do babylights at home though, I definitely would
The blonde really brought out your eyes. I live for The light hair with the dark eyes (With light eyebrows too) As opposed to dark hair with light eyes
@@MBeauty I don’t even know what that means 🥲 What heat where the heat coming from? only thing I have is box dye in platinum blonde with 30 developer, is that good?
When you put bleach on your roots, the natural heat from the scalp makes the roots become lighter faster (lift). But since the length of your hair doesn't have that added heat, I used aluminum foil in sections to trap the heat in from the bleach (from the chemical reaction taking place) and that way, the heat makes them lift faster. The box dye might work if your hair is light enough but some hair dyes don't have bleach (lightener).
@@MBeauty schwarzkoph is fine i have the same hair like her but box dye can lift about max 7 shades its better to first bleech your hair , see how many it lifted and then u can or bleech it again. And then box dye. Or just box dye after a first bleech. At least thats how i did it i have white blonde hair now.
I think you would have done better in the beginning if you had done a color removal before bleaching. It takes a lot of that box dye out so the bleach can do its job. Live and learn. Judging by the thumbnail in part 2 it looks like you got figured out eventually so all's well that ends well. Thanks for the video and for being brave enough to face the wrath of Brad Mondo. Lol!
Buna! Ador accentul tău, parul meu natural este blond-saten și mi-am vopsit parul negru. Nu îmi place deloc cum îmi sta. Cum sa scap de acest brunet și sa revin la un blond decent? Mulțumesc:)
@@MBeauty bblonde is very good, however it can make it go a little yellow so just use the bblonde toner, there’s different volumes as well for that brand!
Idk why hairdressers told you they cant even get that in sessions. That is completely possible especially in sessions. I could’ve got you that in 1-2 sessions.
Exactly why i did 2 fringes myself cuz they said it not be good save my hair maybe lil fell out but not noticeable and it is fun doing hair by yourself if know whay doing. I have cosmology friends gave me advice💗💗
Actually you look lovely after 1st session. I have bleached m hair (short) to have them snow white, but it took me 3 sessions using 12% peroxide. I've left half of them on my comb yet they have ability to regrow really fast so they are dense and black again ... fck .
You look young so your hair will be able to resist…and I will say this…I have black hair…but 20 developer never worked left it orange....40 crème developer works…always 40 crème…and yeah I with you on salons…so if you wanted to try it…it will take you to the blond you want without breakage…just leave 20 minutes and cover with Vaseline the parts that you don’t want to bleach…
Honestly for me, low and slow is the way to go. Because at the salon they used 40 developer but that just fried it off and didn't even make it platinum blonde, it actually left it orange 😂
Exactly!!!!! I think they mean one hour after the application is finished. But still, I've heard salons taking their time and going "low and slow" for maximum lift with a lower developer.
They just don’t want to do it, I was dark brown and went to my picture before and I’m going to do the same again myself because they only want to do this to virgin hair.
Maria, i would like to do this transformation too, please, you have something for to say me for help me? I do with the blond me products and i will put wellaplex too in the pulver before. Are you have instagram?🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I have a chanel here too but i don't fomore videos.
My Instagram is : maria.m.beauty_. I would recommend to start with the ends of your hair and only do the roots once you achieve the color you want because they lift really fast (as you can tell in my video 😂). Also give your hair some time in between bleaching (2 weeks minimum if you can) just because your hair needs some time to breathe in between the bleach sessions. And make sure you use a good hair mask every time you wash your hair (leave it in for 10 min minimum) to add in as much hydration as possible! 🤗 Also, if you have box dyed hair, use a color remover before you start using the bleach!!! I wish I would've done this because it would've saved me a lot of trouble!

I’ve been trying to watch as much as i can so I can do it right… but it’s worth it to me to research and take my time to experiment and be able to do it myself… so what is the toner and the other stuff called? Where might I find it?
Best bleach video on TH-cam ! Thank you! You show all the steps. Im going to do it,too😊
Thank you for this… I have the same problem too. They won’t do my hair cause it’s dark and thick so hopefully watching this I can do it on my hair.
I'm watching this and I cracked up when you said "hopefully I don't end up on Brad Mondo as a fail" and I look to the right at the video suggestions and there he is criticizing your video lol
😂😂 I loved his commentary though
You can do it girl! I did it and Ill never go back lol we’ll maybe one day lol but not for along time.
They do color corrections because you have box dye on your head, box dye lifts weird
😂 yeah, it's a good idea to wait in between bleach sessions, you really can really feel a difference
I did the same things like u but idk what should i do now my roots are platin blonde the other is orangeeee how can i fix it
I think you might need another bleach session on the orange parts, but I'd recommend waiting 2 weeks so your hair can breathe. I'd also recommend using hydrating masks during that time because they helped me!
Tysmmmmm waiting for the part two ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for your video. It looks like a good high quality product. I have purchased 4 bottles...
I'm glad you enjoyed! ❤️
Roots take quicker then mid length and length that’s why they are lighter. It’s because the roots have the heat from the scalp.
Yeah, I knew that which is why I did them last 😂 but I didn't expect the mid lengths and the lengths to be that dark after bleach (it was from all the box dye)
@@MBeauty we live and learn don’t we. It’s all a learning curve. You got there and really put the time and effort in. Well done xxx
I'm in the same boat but I'm scared to do it myself... I'll prolly never be blond sadly
I didn't do it myself, my fiancée did it but I had to explain to him how to do it 😄 since he's never done this before
Just watched Brad Mondo reacting to your video. Great results!!! xoxo
Thank you! ❤️
Why didn't uou remove the box dye first
I honestly just forgot since I was so excited 🙊
i had a salon completely FRY my hair when i was trying to go blonde from black. i'm so scared to try to get light again but i want to sooo bad :,) my roots are a medium blonde and the mids and ends are different shades of brown. i literally am 👌🏻 tbis close to doing it myself cuz of what the salon did to my hair lol
I'm so sorry that happened! I get it, I was honestly a bit scared to go the second time after what happened the first time 😂 and now I regret going. If I could do babylights at home though, I definitely would
U look great with dark hair
I wanna do black hair on one side and white on the other side , I have dark brown hair. I haven't dyed my hair in 8 or 9 years . Any tips ?
As long as you work in thin sections and foil your hair, your natural hair should be able to lift well (on the blonde part)
Was Your hair healthy and still on Your hear after that?
Yeah, it was. Believe it or not, but it actually became damaged after I went to a salon. (I have a story time video about that)
The blonde really brought out your eyes.
I live for The light hair with the dark eyes (With light eyebrows too)
As opposed to dark hair with light eyes
Thank you! I feel the same way!
But I also like dark hair and light eyes 😄 (love the contrast combination)
@@MBeauty Well that's also a great combo but me personally the light hair with dark eyes are pretty uncommon and they're a great combo
Can someone tell me why she puts foil ?? What does it do and how long you’re supposed to keep it on
To trap the heat inside. I left it on the entire time I waited for my ends to process (It makes the hair lift faster)
The box dye might work if your hair is light enough but some hair dyes don't have bleach (lightener).
schwarzkopf is best used for a more naturally ashy or naturally lighter hair European hair types. Better use a different brand unless your going red
Thanks! Any recommendations?
@@MBeauty i say anything but schwarzkopf and redken is good.
Lol!
I should've used a color remover but I honestly just forgot since I was so excited 😂
We need part twooo😭😭😭😭❤️❤️
Part 2 is coming soon!!! ❤️
My hair is black but can I dye my hair to blonde without bleaching
I don't think so. Some people use high lift hair dye with 40 vol developer but you need lighter hair to do that.
Does it have opalex in it saves your hair
I didn't use Olaplex while I was turning blonde
Buna!
Always remove box dye first
The blonde cost $15-20 dollars more then bw2 depending on the beauty supply store u go to in nyc
Do you like the Bw2 more? Any good bleach recommendations?
@@MBeauty bblonde is very good, however it can make it go a little yellow so just use the bblonde toner, there’s different volumes as well for that brand!
Idk why hairdressers told you they cant even get that in sessions. That is completely possible especially in sessions. I could’ve got you that in 1-2 sessions.
I believe you could've, but apparently they didn't want to risk not getting the results, so they just refused to do it
4:16 - as someone who only washes their hair every 7-10 days, you kinda hurt me there bestie 😃
That was before I went blonde, when it would get oily at the end of the second day (I used to have very oily hair). Now I only wash it once a week 😁
@@MBeauty you go hun 🥰
I love Féria bleach so much. I wouldn’t use anything else.❤
I've left half of them on my comb yet they have ability to regrow really fast so they are dense and black again ... fck .
Next time try a color remover! I've seen them do crazy things.👀
Best of luck on your hair journey.❤
I really should've used one!! I honestly forgot from all the excitement! 😂
Is this color permanent
The black hair dye I used to use?
@@MBeauty yeah
Yes, it was permanent dye (the black)
@@MBeauty thanks miss maria
You're welcome! 🤗
Mam could u plz link the products
I linked the products I used in the video in the description!
I can’t find the products on Sally beauty supply!!! How come??
I didn't get them from Sally's, I ordered them online! I think you can find them on Amazon
They’re professional products so they aren’t sold in places like Sally’s
You look young so your hair will be able to resist…and I will say this…I have black hair…but 20 developer never worked left it orange....40 crème developer works…always 40 crème…and yeah I with you on salons…so if you wanted to try it…it will take you to the blond you want without breakage…just leave 20 minutes and cover with Vaseline the parts that you don’t want to bleach…
Honestly for me, low and slow is the way to go. Because at the salon they used 40 developer but that just fried it off and didn't even make it platinum blonde, it actually left it orange 😂
You should have used a colour remover first xx
Yeah, I realized that afterwards 😂
You needed to use a color remover first then bleach.
Yeah it doesn’t make sense. They say to leave the bleach on for NO MORE than an hour but it literally takes 2 hours to get the hair completely covered
Exactly!!!!! I think they mean one hour after the application is finished. But still, I've heard salons taking their time and going "low and slow" for maximum lift with a lower developer.
You can leave it on longer but it gets less powerful as time goes on. Reapplying makes it fresh again.
You needed to use a color
Remover first and you would have gotten way better results.
They just don’t want to do it, I was dark brown and went to my picture before and I’m going to do the same again myself because they only want to do this to virgin hair.
After the first time, did you use 20 volume developer or did you keep using 30 volume?
I kept using 30 volume since it wasn't lifting easily
Wtf? Where is the blonde hair like in the second picture at??
Part 4! (I used it in the thumbnail so you'd know it does end up like that and it's not photoshopped)
Hair salons and hairdressers tell me the same thing 😂😂😂😂
you are super cute as a red head too!
@@MBeauty Thank's Maria!!!💞💞🎀💞💞🎀💞💞💞🎀 I used the colourless in this monday for quit a litlle bit the black. I using the Sebastian black oil and one reconstructor aussie for take care the hair before to do the first discoloration. I am thinking of doing a discoloration every 20 days. And hydration and treat in that time I wait for the next discoloration.I hope I have the patience to wait that time between one discoloration and the next. 🤣🤣🤣
I know it might be hard to wait in between the bleach sessions (it really was for me 😂) but when I didn't wait (the first few times) it made me really wish I had!!! I truly think it's worth waiting even if it's difficult, maybe put your hair in a ponytail/bun if it bothers you!
@@MBeauty I'll try to make slowly and trust in the process.🤣😅
However the result was not expected ,but I really really liked you'r video❤❤❤❤
Blondme is the best bleach hands down. You get what you pay for 👍👍👍
Hairdressers tell me they cant do all over bleach on my my natural red hair
I've had hairdressers tell me I have too much red pigment in my brunette hair and they can't bleach it to blonde 😂
Brave girl ❤
I'm just watching this because I'm scared that my hair will start falling out
Mine didn't. The only breakage you can get is if you leave bleach on for too long near the roots.
@@MBeauty well yeah but if you have too much hydrogen peroxide in the bleach your hair is getting like bubblegum and starts to fall out
They don't except the challenge 🤣🤣😂😂
girl they LITERALLY tell me the exact same thing. they just don’t want to do the work😭
The patience!!! I have no patience at all
Please part two hurry up I wanna see it
It's up now!!!
No wonder everyone I ask tirns me away! I'm going to follow your lead and do it myself.
Who came here from Brad Mondo??
I’m here because I just ordered a Joico bleach brand to bleach blonde my own hair at my house 😅
I actually love the Joico bleach brand for the roots! (I had the cream bleach) It makes the hair feel healthier than the Blonde me but I haven't used it on my ends (I bought it after finishing the bleach process)
@@MBeauty yess and i had to ordered mines since I’ve been turned down from 2 salons already. Rn my hair is a strawberry blonde from the black/ red box dye I had on my hair. I plan on going a very light golden blonde in 1-2 weeks .
You look good on black than blonde
This video was very informative 👌
i like your dark hair
i saw your amazon rewiew
tbh u look better w dark hair girl
4:46
20 vol is nooot enough!!
I didn't use it when I started
Owh she should have use color remover first.
Very strange, normaly our hair should have been white in the first coloring. Someone failed in this.
@BradMondo 😬 please please please review. 😘 Ha. Love it!
Just say how your doing it with out talking so much plz
You needed way more bleach than that
I HATE THIS! When they said they can't do it. Fuckin ridiculous! ESPECIALLY AFTER THEY SEE MY BLACK ASIAN HAIR THEY WERE LIKE "NOPE"
Like I get it especially in the states with sue-ing things, lots of people that not happy with the result sometimes sue the salon, but when I said BLEACH MY HAIR TILL BLONDE, that is because I take the risk! just give me the blonde!!!! But they wont take the challenge. Too scared hmmmm
Yeah 😂 I don't know why though
Next time start with oops color remover
Who else has blonde hair dye on watching this 🙄😂
