This is incredibly impressive. Dialogue, level design, all looks like Nintendo grade quality, if not better. First level is on the easy side but that’s ok, it’s the first level after all. Great job man, I’d love to play this soon.

I hope, if it's possible for an sequel, to have 175 stars or even more if it works without glitching, but take all the time of the world when you and the NewerTeam have the time for it, I personally think it could come out in 2021 if it has 175 stars, and 2023 when it has 200 stars, and please put more worlds in it, maybe 20 or something? That would be very very very cool! I hope it will be real, and not an dream. But remember, take the time for it!
Looks fun, although there are clearly some problems, the ice texture looks horrible and there wasn't much to that first level, it also looked very easy and small and… bland, but wait… are those ground textures from Mario sunshine? If so, good job :D
Well, congratulations, all the textures are from the original game, therefore the original game looks horrible.
Also, being easy isn't a bad thing, considering it was the first level.

***** Um, well, I don't know. The 64DS editor does have a tool to carry over the levels, but it's a bit broken, and plus, there was also a tiny bit of ASM hacking to be done too, so you'd have to carry that over too.
Personally, I'd locate the menu files from the other version and just swap them over. Should be simplest.

When playing on my DS, on an R4 on Wood, the game randomly crashes after getting stars. Anyway to fix this?
ratchet5 No idea, mate, I have an R4 with Wood firmware on it and it works fine. Check if you have the latest version. If you do, backup everything and try to format the SD card using this: www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

Hey skawo, i was able to get the mod working all fine but what did you use at the time to play this mod? R4? Emulator? It wont work on tw loader, every time i get enought star to play as mario, it soft locks on me.
Twilight Menu constantly breaks and unbreaks games. Downgrading or updating to a new version would likely fix that. That said, this was played on a flashcart.
I'd like to know if DeSmuMe runs better for a hack like this other than the original game. I own an WinXP, because I wonder this would work fine...

Skawo I follow your instructions. I used "0037 - Super Mario 64 DS (U)(Trashman)" like it saids in the "read me" and then later I patch. After I patch, I put that on R4 and then, I tried and it didn't work.

I'm using no$gba 2.6a and the sound keeps cracking for no reason, it's also washed out, but I've had that problem with all the games I've tried to run on no$gba.
I'll see if it still happens in Desmume.
The staticky sound would indeed be No$GBA's fault.
Skawo Yah I just figured that out. While no$gba runs fine with nary a dropped frame (minus the static and washed out look) desmume is a resource hog that lags like no tomorrow despite adjusting settings and the basically accurate to DS (who am I kidding it's on point) screen and sound. It's pretty much a trade off between playability or graphics, kinda sucks. :(
***** There's a way to fix the washed out-ness, you go to Options->Emulation Setup->GBA Mode and change that to VGA (Poppy Bright).
Also, to remove the noise:

EDIT: First close all the No$GBA instances that have been running. Open the tast manager and look if there aren't any hidden processes of it.
Then, start a new instance, run "a.exe" while the emulator is past the file-load screen and it should partially fix it. I think it may be picked up as a virus under some AVs, but it isn't one, rest assured.
That being said, it'll still probably be a bit glitchy.
Skawo Thanks that fixed it for the most part. But in all seriousness how the heck did you deal w/using a keyboard, I pretty much found it uncontrollable, because movement is at 45 degree angles instead of 360 degrees like an analog stick.
