- The annual VHRA Races at Pendine Sands 2024. From Scrutineering right through to our troublesome Sunday. For me personally I had some problems with the 40 Sedan unfortunately. Ran perfectly all week before then 3 seconds after scrutineering it began to play up impacting both my opportunities to race and with my head under the hood all of Saturday, little racing footage either. Nevermind, I hope you enjoy what I captured and thanks to Aaron and Isabel Thomas for the still images of my struggles on Saturday.
You all are a delight! Fantastic cars. Amazing filming and editing. Would love to be there and see your cars in person. I have the good fortune of living in Santa Cruz, CA. Appreciate you are a dignified group of gentleman who are Hot Rod artists. I am looking forward to your next show!😎
Fascinating.. . The Firth equipped Flat head is Marvellous.
Stunning work fella. Good choice on the last car obviously…
As you well know, if it’s what the people want, sometimes you’ve just got to give it to them 🏁
What a classy, well edited video with the right sound tracks.......and such a good advert for VHRA hot rodders. Here's to 2025. See you on the sand (753).
I had hoped to showcase our efforts and glad that you as a fellow member enjoyed the footage. I have some redeeming to do for next year so with luck will see you on the sand next year! 🏁🙌🏼
Great film, Dudley.
Means a lot mate, a tip of the hat to the Sidewinders in there too and thanks for that clip that opens the footage on the Sunday
Excellent video, really professional & artistic !
Thanks mate, rewarding when it’s acknowledged! 👍🏼
Interesting to see you have a vid of us setting up the timing on Sunday, and how quickly the mist rolled in. changing it from murky to foggy...
I’m only guessing that with the dense murk that surrounded us that Sunday that the timing gear for breaking beams would’ve been wholly inoperable. Even if we could’ve safely run it would’ve been exhibition only I guess… oh well. There’s always next year 🏁
@@dudford. It's infrared so it should be ok - but we drove down the track about 20-30mph to see what it was like down there to see if it was safe to parade the cars, only to meet a few people suddenly loom out of the murk wandering about near the timing trap.
@@hotrodfil what the actual F?! Blimey… yep, good call not to fart ass about and run over spectators then 👍🏼
Man, that must’ve taken you ages to edit that. The Focus pull and artistic panning is brilliant. I went as a spectator on Saturday. A couple of pics on my tunokies IG - just iPhone stuff, nothing fancy. Great job👌🏼
Yes, great video
It took a minute but well worth it! You can’t knock iPhones/smart phones, current ones really can do a lot more than people think. My tip is play with the settings and modes 👍🏼
New Subscribers #118 absolutely loved the video, well done. Watching👀 From Cradle Mountain 🏔🏔Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 Cheers 🍻 KC 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇺🇲🇺🇲🦘🦘🏔🏔🌧🌧
Hi MetalMania chuffed that you enjoyed it then had to google Cradle Mountain, wow, putting that in the bucket list!!
@dudford. my pleasure and it's a beautiful spot hey 🤗🍻🇦🇺👊😊🦘
Terrific event. - very glad we stayed in Pendine and so were there for both days. Saturday was wonderful. Sunday was frustrating but the atmosphere was still great. I'll be back!
Hi Dud. That was a fantastic compilation and really captures the essence of the event. I can see what my videos are lacking now, an artistic element. It came out great, and really benefitted from no narration but great music. Mart.
Hey Mart, huge thanks for your comments mate and humbled to receive such feedback from one of my regular subscribed content creators! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
7:55 I told you I’d sneak you in on the edit too 😉
Hey we’ve got the exact same pic for our vids haha!! Must of been near you at the time!! Great video!
@@ALL_4_WHEELS thanks, I see you also got me in your footage of Pendine at about the 20:49 mark. I like your filter on your video too, sort of vintage sepia 👍🏼
@@dudford. yeah I had a vintage filter but toned it down a bit to give it a slight classic look! I went to move the thumbnail on my channel accidentally swapped for another and lost that one of the truck as I previously deleted it 🤦♂️🤦♂️
👍👍
Love your work??? 😎😎
I hope everyone wore their seatbelts. 🙂
Yes. They did.
Great video could you tell me the name of artist and song twangy guitars used in this first part of the video.
Thank, that would be: Dark Outlands by Johan Erikkson
@dudford. thanks so much dude. 👌
Really nice story. But maybe leave the autofocus on "OFF"...
@@adrienseffrin4047 you think so? First time I found the button on my phone so was fun to play with. Probably needs some mastering!
