As crazy as this was, at least the mother left. She even admitted she still had feelings for him and loved him at the time but left the second she found out. As a girl who grew up with a similar situation (my biological father was a chomo) I can say that if things happened differently and my mom had no choice but to publicly deny my father that this is exactly how she would act. Sadly I believe if this kids real dad didnt come back to her and they hadnt come on the show that the mother wouldnt have made the guy leave. She would have played the oblivious card until the girl was old enough to speak up about the abuse.

To be fair she does realize her feelings are wrong and she does scream about not letting him have a chance to get to her daughter. Even if I don't like her; she had the correct reaction to seeing him and said similar to what I would expect to pass the "Okay" bar. "Better" would have been her having no feelings for him. They where a couple. He resided with her for over 30 days. The courts are messy. He has not threatened or harmed her or the girl. He has squatters rights. Back then there where no stalking laws.
