As someone who is just starting to stitch samplers and as a quilter also, I think I would stitch the back colors and treat this as a stand alone sampler on a wall of my home. The girl chose the bright colors to make her happy while she stitched and I would want to honor her choices in my reproduction of her work ❤️
When I saw the post on Facebook, I was drawn to the front color palette. That most decidedly changed when you showed the sampler in this Flosstube. I love the vibrant colors on the back! As I am currently stitching Florence Mary Dickinson and then seeing this Flosstube, I realize that my tastes are definitely in the range of vibrant colors. I recognize now that several other samplers in my collection also have vivid colors.
Both look good. My immediate impulse is to say front because I am not sure how the brights would look when completed. I like both muted and bright colors in what I stitch.
I plan to stitch this sampler using the colors from the BACK. I love to be surrounded by bright colors. What’s good as seen by the original stitcher is great for me.
I love the sampler you are working on and my vote would be to stitch the front. Thank you for all you do to uplift, inspire and teach the stitching community.
A lovely sampler, and definetly one that will be added to my stash. My choice of colors would be the FRONT of the sampler. Deeply appreciate the option you're giving us!!
Lovely floss tube! I have Martha Walmsly and Sarah Milthorpe in the wings waiting until I complete Sarah Spencer so they can be stitched. ( I am a painfully slow stitcher ) . However, I don’t think I can resist Jesse!! She needs to be included! I would work her in the muted colors. I love the reversible sampler you completed and that you have the back sealed. I hope you’ve included your rationale so that 100 years from now, you will make the owner smile!
I love the actual colors of samplers. So i would definitely stitch the back of the sampler. I wish you would always give a color conversion of the back of samplers, but i know it's a lot of work and sometimes the back of a work is not accessible. Oh, that band sampler is so beautiful. I've been hesitant to start a band sampler since i stitch with qsnaps, etc. I would be afraid my work would suffer from constant movement of my qsnaps. Thank you for the lovely video as always! Have a great week.
The front of that sampler is AMAZING! The bright colors of the back are gorgeous but would not complement the colors in my home. Looking forward to stitching those beautiful birds! 😍
Love your Flosstube. I’m leaning to the colors on the back. I most likely would stitch with DMC. Hopefully that will be included on the chart like you usually do. It would be great if the shop that will have the exclusive would offer Lugana as a choice. Just a thought xxx
From Facebook I would have selected the brighter colors but when I saw this video I think the front colors would be my preference. I do tend to use DMC. Such a beautiful piece.
That sampler is pretty front and back. You see many samplers in muted tones, so I'd stitch it in the bright back colours. The spanish sampler currently being charted looks wonderful. Take care, and happy stitching.
I would prefer to stitch the front of the sampler. Also, I am so excited about all of the different things Mrs. Parkman’s Academy has in store for us! Thank you 🪡
I would stitch the front colours, so soft and pretty. Thank you so much for sharing your lectures for those of us who cannot afford to attend the sessions at the special needlework shops. I have several patterns in my wish list that I am hoping to purchase soon. ❤
Dear Nicola. Thank you for another great video on your channel. Of course, I would love to sew the Sampler you showed and choose😊 the front side of this project. she is so beautiful and delicate. It suits me very well.😊
I would definitely stitch the front of Jessie Challinor and move her to the top of my list as a focus stitch! I fell head over heels from the second you held her up!❤
I love the front of the sampler! Those muted colors are so beautiful! I'm happy to know that we will have both in the book though. I can imagine my daughter might stitch it someday and I think she would gravitate towards the back colors! So nice to have options.
I would stitch the back color way because I like to stitch a reproduction using the same colors as the little girl. The front colorway is beautiful too.
Thank you for a wonderful floss tube yet again. I love that you buy samplers and reproduce them. I have stitched many of your Hands Across the Sea designs. I would like to stitch the new sampler in the front colors.
I can't imagine the dedication and skill it took to execute and complete that incredible reversible sampler. You did an amazing job. Thank you also for bringing those lovely artisan wood crafted items from Cornwall to stitchers around the world. I am blessed to have two in my collection.
As another person just getting into stitching samplers, I am thrilled at the thought of your stitch along of the beautiful Spanish sampler. With no LNS- my skills are acquired through trial and error so Mrs Parkman’s Academy will be such a helpful guide. If you have any suggested tutorials for newbies, Nicola, I’d love to know of them. Thank you.
As someone who loves colour I was thinking the brighter back colours that Jessie chose till I saw the front. Oh my! Just love those front colours so that would be my first choice now but wouldn’t it be wonderful to stitch the sampler again in the back colours and hang them together. If only there was enough hours in the day….
Both sides are appealing to me but I would stitch the front colors as they would complement my home beautifully. That Spanish sampler is gorgeous! I look forward to the stitch along! Happy Stitching! Rebecca C.
I think it would be fun to stitch both sides. Then they could be coordinated with other samplers that they are hung with. The front side is so beautifully calming and the backside is so cheerful and energetic. It would be interesting to actually hang them both together!
I’m interested in the back as opposed to the front as it’s not often that we have the opportunity to work a piece with original colors. And I am SO looking forward to the Spanish sampler - what fun! Thank you!
Definitely the front! So excited to hear the progress on charting Jessie. I fell in love with her when you first showed her and can’t wait to get started. Well, maybe I do need some time to finish one or two others beforehand ☺
While both sides are beautiful I would stitch the front. I’m very excited about all the opportunities you are and will be offering to help us grow in this craft we love. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge so generously!
Hi Nicola, love Bathya your band sampler. She is just stunning. Loved seeing your finished and framed stitched piece. Wow. I have been praying for your King that he has a complete recovery and is back to normal as soon as possible. Have a great week.
I have a sampler wall with just bird samplers. I love both color options but I think I would stitch the brighter colors. I like being able to have both color choices available.
What a pretty sampler. I would love to stitch with the softer colors on the front. Although the back colors were chosen by the maker, they are too vibrant for me.
I love the front, but my goodness, the back just takes my breath away and if I had a choice, I would stitch it as the little girl did, those colors are just stunning.
In the Facebook group I had answered the brighter colors. Because my eye just loved the colors. But after seeing the antique sampler, I have to say I prefer the front more muted side. What a glorious piece that will be to stitch on! I'm excited for its release.
I would stitch the front of the sampler but it was such fun to see the back! She would have been so happy playing with those bright and bold colours! Thanks as always, Nicola and happy stitching.
They're both so beautiful, but I prefer stitching from the colors on the back as I feel they are more true to the original intentions of the girl stitching the original sampler.
Gorgeous sampler and gorgeous sweater, Nicola! I believe you called it a jumper…..the colors are stunning! If I were to stitch this sampler, I would choose the colors on the back for two reasons…first, I love vibrant colors and second, those are the colors the young girl chose so it would be a way of honoring her. Thank you for all you do for the stitching community! ❤
Oh, Nicola! I've promised myself to only stitch from stash (this was in November), and so far so good. But the coming Mrs. Parkman's Academy of Needlework is truly tempting. Thanks for this week's flosstube!
I so agree with one of the comments below (nancyevans7609). I am a beginner stitcher , but have been a quilter for decades and color is important , although I also seem to love the samplers stitched in just one color, I found when I see them. But when there are a lot of colors I love the original ones, let there be color! So my choice would be the back, those were the colors chosen by the maker of the original sampler. Thank you for another lovely flosstube, enjoyed it!
I absolutely love spending my Sunday morning with you, Nicola! And I would stitch the front! Thank you for asking our collective thoughts!! I can’t imagine the work that goes in to sourcing the items required for these releases!! ❤
I ordinarily thought I’d stitch the back color’s but now that you have shown the actual sampler. I might choose the front colors. I don’t know now… I need to look at it for a while.
This is a very tough choice; I love both palettes. I'm leaning toward the front although I generally gravitate to the brighter colours. I'm glad you plan to include both charts.
Must be honest- I really love the colors on the front, whereas the colors on the back are a bit too bright for me. Loved seeing the front of this piece- it’s beautiful ❤
I would stitch the front colors as the back ones don’t go in my home and while they are authentic they don’t look it..just my humble opinion, I can see both appealing to different kinds of people.
I would stitch the vivid colors of the back, definitely! There is an abundance of muted faded samplers, but not as many are available that reflect the imaginations of these creative needle artists. I want to reproduce what they intended originally.
It’s a stunning sampler and can’t wait to acquire the chart. I will be stitching the front pallet. The sampler just calls for the beautiful softer colors, for me anyway.
Nicola, I would definitely stitch the front colors. Thank you again for another wonderful video. I will be seeing you in Cincinnati, OH in May. I can't wait. Best, K
Oh my! What a beautiful sampler indeed. If I were to have the opportunity to stitch the sampler, I think I would do the front side. I do, however, find the back colors very fascinating. I truly can appreciate both color choices. Thank you so much for your dedicated work and reseaech for the craft of cross stitch.
I first said is would like the front colors but after seeing the actual sampler I think I would like the bright colors. I can’t wait for that gorgeous Mexican sampler!!!
What a “Bobby dazzler” that sampler is! I like both color ways, as well. Looking at the threads alone I would choose the paler ones, but giving them context by seeing the original sampler, I like the brighter ones, too. They are both beautiful. It’s really hard to choose
Very hard for me to choose. I love the vibrant colors, but not sure if it is too much. I love the soft faded colors, but maybe some brighter. Will have to look at it more to make a choice.
I plan to stitch it twice, once front and then back. I’ll be buying both sets of colors. Both are beautiful. Thank you for another lovely Flosstube.
When it is available, I will stitch using colors from the front. Those are more restful to my eye. Thank you for the Flosstube videos.
As someone who is just starting to stitch samplers and as a quilter also, I think I would stitch the back colors and treat this as a stand alone sampler on a wall of my home. I think I would stitch the back because that is what the girl chose for her sampler. It’s absolutely beautiful with both sets of flosses.

Great video! I would go for the muted tones, but I love the idea of being given the option to pick from the original or the faded.
The front of that sampler is AMAZING! The bright colors of the back are gorgeous but would not complement the colors in my home. Looking forward to stitching those beautiful birds! 😍

DMC will definitely be listed in the chart. We want our samplers to be inclusive.
From Facebook I would have selected the brighter colors but when I saw this video I think the front colors would be my preference. I do tend to use DMC. Such a beautiful piece.

I would prefer to stitch the front of the sampler.
Also, I am so excited about all of the different things Mrs. Parkman’s Academy has in store for us! Thank you 🪡
I would choose to stitch the more muted colors of the front. Providing stitchers with an option is a wonderful idea!

I would definitely stitch the front colors. Such a gorgeous sampler. I will definitely be stitching this !
I would stitch the back, the sampler is beautiful.
I would stitch the back color way because I like to stitch a reproduction using the same colors as the little girl. The front colorway is beautiful too.
My preference would be to stitch the softer front of the sampler.
Thank you for a wonderful floss tube yet again. I love that you buy samplers and reproduce them. I have stitched many of your Hands Across the Sea designs. I would like to stitch the new sampler in the front colors.
Wonderful Flosstube!! I would choose to stitch the front on the sampler. Gorgeous sampler!! Thank you for sharing. I appreciate you!! ❤

I would choose the front colors..the softness of the colors is preferred from the bold primary colors
As another person just getting into stitching samplers, I am thrilled at the thought of your stitch along of the beautiful Spanish sampler. I love both sides but would probably stitch the back side because it is so bright and so different.
I would definitely choose the colors from the front. I prefer the slightly mellowed colors to the brights.
I would stitch the colours on the front of this beautiful sampler. My personal preference is softer muted colours. Cant wait.
I would stitch the front colors. I always go for muted colors over bright.
Traditionally I would stitch the front colors, however to move out of my comfort zone, I would do the back colors!
I think it would be fun to stitch both sides. Then they could be coordinated with other samplers that they are hung with. The front side is so beautifully calming and the backside is so cheerful and energetic. It would be interesting to actually hang them both together!

I think I would like to stitch the front. The colors and beautiful on either side. It is a very beautiful sampler.
I would choose the front colors….it is a gorgeous sampler.
I would love the stitch the softer front colours 💗
Gorgeous sampler and gorgeous sweater, Nicola! I believe you called it a jumper…..the colors are stunning! I plan to stitch the front ❤ I absolutely love this sampler and my nickname was Jessie when I was young and this is a must for me.
I would have to choose the front for this particular sampler.
I love the back but would likely stitch the front as it goes better with my decor. Beautiful! Those birds!
Oh, Nicola! I've promised myself to only stitch from stash (this was in November), and so far so good. But the coming Mrs. Parkman's Academy of Needlework is truly tempting.

Such a lovely sampler - I would stitch the front, as those softer colors really speak to me.
I absolutely love spending my Sunday morning with you, Nicola! And I would stitch the front! Thank you for asking our collective thoughts!! I can’t imagine the work that goes in to sourcing the items required for these releases!! ❤
Hi Nicola, what a gorgeous sampler! I would stitch it in the muted colors, and perhaps stitch some smalls in the brighter colors.

Seeing the sampler, I think I would like to stitch the back of the sampler just because it would be so different! It's wild and I love it!!!
I would stitch the back colors of the sampler. Love them.

I would stitch the back as that would suit the decor in my home. Beautiful works shown.
I would stitch using the front colors. This sampler is gorgeous!

Beautiful!! I would stitch the front colors.
Nicola, I would definitely stitch the front colors. Thank you again for another wonderful video. I will be seeing you in Cincinnati, OH in May. I can't wait. Best, K
Front colors for sure. Thank you for the chance to vote.😊
I might stitch both but I would choose the back colors which perhaps is what the OG stitcher intended?
Oh my! What a beautiful sampler indeed. If I were to have the opportunity to stitch the sampler, I think I would do the front side. I do, however, find the back colors very fascinating. I truly can appreciate both color choices. Thank you so much for your dedicated work and reseaech for the craft of cross stitch.
I would stitch the front of the sampler. I absolutely love the pop of color on the front. The back is too overwhelming for me.
I would stitch the back, love, love, love bright vibrant samplers.
I would stitch the front on this particular sampler.
I first said is would like the front colors but after seeing the actual sampler I think I would like the bright colors. I can’t wait for that gorgeous Mexican sampler!!!
Both are beautiful, but I would definitely stitch the front colors! It’s gorgeous!! ❤️
I love the sampler in question, would love to stitch it and prefer the front of the sampler colors. ❤
I look forward to stitching the sampler the way it appears today. The front, though given time, I would stitch both and hang them side by side.
What a “Bobby dazzler” that sampler is! I like both color ways, as well. Looking at the threads alone I would choose the paler ones, but giving them context by seeing the original sampler, I like the brighter ones, too. They are both beautiful. It’s really hard to choose
I would love to stitch the front! It’s simply beautiful!! 😍
The sampler is beautiful. I would like to stitch the front. I will definitely stay tuned. Thank you.
Very hard for me to choose. I love the vibrant colors, but not sure if it is too much. I love the soft faded colors, but maybe some brighter. Will have to look at it more to make a choice.
I would stitch the front of the beautiful sampler ❤
