Champion Themes are one of my favorites releases on League. I just love the art behind it and the story it portrays.
For real, I miss when the login screen had the theme and art.

man you should listen to the inkshadow theme song. I wish they made a full on cinematic for it because it is honestly one of the best instrumental pieces made for the game
Please increase the number of new champions updated each year. LOL is an eleven year old boy. Not old age. LOL still has many years of lifespan. You shouldn't be so elderly. There are only four in a year.

I love the juxtaposition between the heavy metal and naafiri getting pet.
Omg those concept art themes were jawdropping. A little sad we couldnt see all of them coz they were all incredible.

I needed the full version of her theme the second I heard it in the trailer. The music team at Riot never dissapoints with their creations and this one is no different. Amazing as always!

Seeing all the concept art and backstage things in this video really makes me feel like Naafiri was made with love and not just rushed like some previous champions

No champion is rushed, not lately at least. But Naafiri is one of the better designed champs as of late. Sett, Naafiri, and Vex were all super well designed and kept simple, while also keeping up with the league champs. Now are their numbers themselves balanced? I would certainly say Sett isn't with that much true damage, but it's clear, it's indicative, and easy to understand that you screwed up not because the champ was 200 years designed.
I'm really gonna sink my teeth into this absolute banger.
I like how it's the behind the scenes footage about how you guys made the champ, not just the animated splash art of them, thank you!
This has basically been the way it’s been as a replacement to login screens. It’s tough not having the feeling of opening up the client and having banger songs like this play but I absolutely love seeing the creation of the champions that many developers are very quiet about.

I miss when the League Loadup screen was the newest champ and it's theme with a little animated visual. Kench was the last I remember that was amazing
Honestly I love naafiris design. They could have gone the sif route and made her hold the dagger, but that really doesn't have a pack feel. I like the idea of a being splitting and shattering into this pack of wolves that tears its victims apart, while still having the sly charm of scar from the lion king. Seriously hats off to the design theme for making the most lovable eldritch abomination of flesh and iron.
Sif works in it's own story and themes but for Naafiri? There's no way it could work.
She's stuck in very nice balance between spiky and metallic esthetic of Darkins and a dog, because... You know, her vessel is a dog after all. The blades around her neck give her that uncanny look and her head... Or face I should say(?) have a semblance of human futures (not counting her "earring"). It just works so well together.
If only Riot design team head more freedom in making champions we would've more champions like her. I don't mean monster like - but it's still great - but more interesting. 17th thicc babe with guns isn't an interesting design riot, stop being 13 years old...

Using shots/vids from different development stages is such a smart way to showcase the design and the process, all with the upside of the champ theme

It's crazy how much you can elevate a character with a good music track and a few good ideas meshed. The entire design is basically "dog + kitchen knife". I've noticed this alot lately with alot of indie characters as well lately especially in games. Characters that would otherwise be forgettable or just ok are paired with a collab song and that made them recognisable characters in the indie industry.
I can't wait to pet Naafiri for 20 minutes straight when this part kicks in 0:50
Its just such a shame that this precious music is not on the login theme as it used to.

Milio is well designed, the only issue with him that makes him so strong is his bonus range (as a Milio Player)
Is it just me, or am I the only one that is happy about the champions team? We got Milio and Naafiri and both of them are simple, not overloaded, and very easy to play. I honestly can't wait for Briar and the other champions this year.
i think we should encourage mechanically intense champions, just not overloaded ones. i personally love the micro intense gameplay of league.
@@laughingstock7638 the thing is, for a champion to be mechanically intense it has to feel rewarding to learn every single mechanic, and that ends up making them give the champion really overloaded kits
@@trimex7234 A kit is overloaded, if it has parts that add nothing to the active gameplay or you do not remember/notice/care for them while playing.

Naafiri probably is my favorite Darkin theme now. It was soooo sick. Varus needs an ASU stat so he can have a cool metal/rock guitar theme to match the others. Also it was super cool to see the music production, that's a first in these concept art videos.
I liked how the song conveys a hoard of demonic hounds are approaching to hunt their prey, giving a feeling of anxious and fear with Naafiri's presence. Definitely one of the best themes
