When i was student in Bangladesh we didn't have opportunities to try or buy alchohol. I tried my first alcohol when i moved Sydney to do my Bachelor degree back in 2000. Bangladesh should be like Japan, keep vending machines everywhere with beer. When ever u want just put some coins to get one.

Here in Europe a bottle of Jura 10 YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky is 56 euros. There is 4 euro difference from EU to Bangladesh. They scalp you quite hard with the duty free excuse! No convenience at all buying in those places

As a example if u coming back to Bangladesh from overseas u can carry 1 to 2 bottles if u hold foreign passport. If u have bangladeshi passport u legally can't bring any alcohol into Bangladesh. Now if u go overseas from Bangladesh. Say u going to Bangkok. U can buy 2 bottles from departure duty free shop in Bangladesh. Its actually depends on which country u going. There is another small duty free shop for arrivals passenger when u go down via escalators right before the immigration. U go to the shop and they will sell u 1 bottle. U can buy a bottle around $15 usd or u can give bangla taka too (if u don't have US dollars). Usually the shop assistants don't ask any questions. I seen many bangladeshi buy with green passport. Hope it helps. Make sure u hide in ur bag. 😊

Here is few options for u, u can buy 1or 2 bottles from indian airport, they will have duty free shop in departure area and put in ur bag. Thrn when u arrive in Bangladesh airport u can buy 2 bottles but u have make request them, usually u can buy only 1 bottle. I usually buy 2-4 bottles from Bangkok airport then buy few bottles in dhaka airport. They don't check my bag because i got Australian passport. If u have extra money u can take a risk buying more than 1 bottles, if they check they will keep the bottles, thats all.

Yes u can pay with those currencies u already mentioned. U can carry cigarettes in the flights. But make sure u check How much u can bring into the the country u flying to (just search Google). What u can do is which ever country u coming from buy couple of bottles from there duty free shop and buy one bottle from Dhaka airport arrival (if u coming from overseas). Easy. U bring as much as u can. Say 4- 6 bottles. Depends on how many u can carry. If u have US, UK, Aus passport, Bangladeshi customs doesn't check the bag. U can easily pass through. But arrival duty free shop in Bangladesh will give u one or 2 bottles. Its better u buy from US departure duty free (if directflight). I bring 5 bottles every time I go to Dhaka. Usually i buy drinks from Bangkok airport 4 bottles and 1 from Dhaka airport. If u have connecting airport, u can buy from there, sometimes some connecting airport doesn't allow u to carry more than 100ml. Hope it makes sense.

As a example if u coming back to Bangladesh from overseas u can carry 1 to 2 bottles if u hold foreign passport. If u have bangladeshi passport u legally can't bring any alcohol into Bangladesh. Now if u go overseas from Bangladesh. Say u going to Bangkok. U can buy 2 bottles from departure duty free shop in Bangladesh. Its actually depends on which country u going. Some country allow 1 bottles some country allow 2 bottles. Hope i answered ur questions. 😀

Aryan Raja. U can call me vai not sir😊 thanks. When u arrive at dhaka airport, u can not buy from this shop (thus shop on departure area). There is another small duty free shop for arrivals passenger when u go down via escalators right before the immigration. U go to the shop and they will sell u 1 bottle. U can buy a bottle around $15 usd or u can give bangla taka too (if u don't have US dollars). Usually the shop assistants don't ask any questions. I seen many bangladeshi buy with green passport. Hope it helps. Make sure u hide in ur bag. 😊

Aryan Raja. Ok be honest with u, its a illegal to buy alcohol if u hold bangladeshi passport and bring into Bangladesh. Here is few options for u, u can buy 1or 2 bottles from indian airport, they will have duty free shop in departure area and put in ur bag. Thrn when u arrive in Bangladesh airport u can buy 2 bottles but u have make request them, usually u can buy only 1 bottle. I usually buy 2-4 bottles from Bangkok airport then buy few bottles in dhaka airport. They don't check my bag because i got Australian passport. If u have extra money u can take a risk buying more than 1 bottles, if they check they will keep the bottles, thats all.

Yes u can pay with those currencies u already mentioned. U can carry cigarettes in the flights. But make sure u check How much u can bring into the the country u flying to (just search Google). Lots off European countries has restrictions how much cigarettes u can bring in to. Australia u can only bring few packets.

Easy. U bring as much as u can. Say 4- 6 bottles. Depends on how many u can carry. If u have US, UK, Aus passport, Bangladeshi customs doesn't check the bag. U can easily pass through. But arrival duty free shop in Bangladesh will give u one or 2 bottles. Its better u buy from US departure duty free (if directflight). I bring 5 bottles every time I go to Dhaka. Usually i buy drinks from Bangkok airport 4 bottles and 1 from Dhaka airport. If u have connecting airport, u can buy from there, sometimes some connecting airport doesn't allow u to carry more than 100ml. Hope it makes sense.
