The last couple accused Sarah of reneging on the deal saying she never came up with the promised money. Sarah said that its because the couple changed the terms of the deal. After the couple managed to successfully launch the product on their own, Sarah offered to invest for a smaller share of the company which they rejected.
Sounds to me like the couple changed their minds about the high percentage and tried to weasel out of it
Wonderful! So glad they didn't part with 45%. She was unfair. I bet you if she made them feel worthwhile and said why don't we have equal thirds, we are all in it together, the morale around it would have been a lot higher and the deal would have gone though.@@toruviel5399
I mean objectively speaking, 45% of the company but the couple are 2 people, if they have to vote on board decisions, or separate it is 55% / 2 is 22.5% each vs her 45%. And she can technically take over full control. This is next level power moves. I am sure the intent is right, but from a strategic position that deal is not good if you are one of the 2 founders.

Nope. Sarah could have offered 49% and it would still have been a good deal. These two are missing tonnes of the core skills they will need.
@@SamRoads She didn’t invest after all. After the show she pulled out because they’d changed certain terms. But after their business started making a lot of money she wanted back in and made them the same offer for less, but they quite rightly declined. Their business is now worth in the region of £10 million. So things worked out pretty well for them!
@@thelaurels13the couple changed the terms after the den and Sarah didn’t want to change the deal they made in the den. They shouldn’t made the deal with Sarah if they didn’t like it!
