Quiet watcher here! I just added you on Goodreads and I’m so excited to add to my TBR from your list. I always get such good recommendations from your videos 😊
Can't believe I have the privilege to say this but YES! I will be seeing you at VHS Christmas Carols on Saturday!! It's seriously a dream come true, I can hardly wait ❤ And as for Neil Gaiman, I simply pretend that one of my favorite books, Coraline, was actually written by Hatsune Miku instead 😌
i didn't know that about Neil Gaiman. I just finished reading the graveyard book in october as well. i really liked it! i have a paperback copy of stardust too that i got from a thrift store - it's one of my favorite movies EVER and very faithful to the book!
The Neil Gaiman stuff is so upsetting. I read The Graveyard Book in high school and loved it, but I’m a huge Good Omens fan, so it just sucks. Ugh. I added you on GoodReads! I have a 500 book tbr list that gets longer by the day 😂 I’m also mean in my reviews sometimes, so you’re not alone lol thanks for another perfect fall vlog!!🧡
There surely is only one Meredith Stepien in the world, and I'm very grateful she makes TH-cam videos so people around the world can enjoy her company and cozy presence :)
I was lucky enough to see VHSCCS last year and it’s my favorite Starkid show so I really wanted to be able to see it again this year but it’s happening the same time as my family vacation 😭 I hope you guys have a great time doing it though!! Can’t wait for the vlogs about it!
Chloe Plumstead (a garden tiktoker) just shared a recipe for green tomato and apple chutney, in case you’re looking to use up those tomatoes!! ALSO I just bought a vintage cardigan that is so similar to your vest but like black and long sleeved, from a random local market - maybe those appliqués were super popular in the 80’s/ 90’s and now we all have sister sweaters haha.
Yes!!! I love my sweater vest and we gotta bring appliqués back!! And I looked up a recipe for green apple chutney and I think we're gonna do it!! It looks so good!
Night in the woods is my favorite game ever!!! There’s some upsetting content in it I always feel deserves a warning but it’s not just shoved in mindlessly, I hope y’all enjoy it!!
Took a break from my book I’m trying to finish tonight (The Empusium by Olga Tokarczuk, it’s very good. Eerie and unsettling and so riveting) to watch this vlog. Had an extra long day at work and needed this coziness majorly 🙏🏻 and also very excited to follow your goodreads, love an honest review heehee
Just added you on Goodreads! And I’m so excited you’re making more wood burning coasters for VHS Christmas Carols this year, I’ll be there on the Saturday night ❣️👻
@@MerediddyS I’m making the cast bracelets! Based on the songs and characters 😊 I’m hoping to find a way to get to you guys, Rusty kindly helped me get the bracelets I made for the Cinderella’s Cast to them so I’m hoping I can get them to you guys this time as well ❣️
I would be interested to hear your thoughts on reading authors works who have turned out to be less than great people. I was gutted to hear about Neil Gaiman as I like a lot of his works and I don’t want to stop reading these books. I’m currently listening to Coraline as it’s my Halloween tradition to listen to it at this time. It’s an audiobook I brought a few years back so hopefully it isn’t giving him any extra money. I’ve just added you on good reads as well.
My main thought is that if I'm able to still enjoy the content without it being tainted, then I allow myself to continue consuming it as long as I'm not putting money down! The first time I re-listened to HP after JKR exposed herself as being a total jerk, I at first thought I wasn't gonna be able to finish. But I have so many connections to HP that have nothing to do with her, and it's changed my life in so many ways that are totally separate from her and her shitty views that I am still able to re-read them and re-watch the movies and not think about her. But totally understand that's not the case for everyone!
@ that makes complete sense. I loved Harry Potter and couldn’t continue with it since everything with JKR. My nephew is just discovering it though and I don’t want to spoil that for him. I’m just encouraging my family to get stuff secondhand or through the library if he asks for anything HP related.
Meredith! I wanted to share this super cool bird ID app! I work with environmental scientists and part of their job is IDing birds and they use Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab! I think it’s primarily used for IDing through calls, but you can use photos too. It’s super fun to just sit in the woods with a sound recording on and watching all of the different species pop up!
Loved this video so much, nature, the Halloween spooky vibes, book reviews. My favorite type of video. I added you on Good Reads and I won't care how harsh you are for reviews, lol. Also, your coasters are going to be so cute, I almost thought I could make it to VHS but I can't, maybe another year!
Love these cozy video game recommendations! My husband and I played Lake together a couple weeks ago, and we just downloaded Night in the Woods! Would love to hear your and Brian's reviews of the games you play together! I want to know which romantic partner(s) you chose in Lake, and if you also had a hard time with the driving mechanisms 😅
Lol I was a terrible driver! And I always try to romance multiple people so I went on a date with and kissed Angie, but then later let her leave to follow her dreams. Then I kinda let Robert pursue me, but didn't drop everything for him in the end!
Having the busiest work week which started on Sunday, so my internal clock has been off all week and yesterday when I sat down to watch YT I thought, "oh good, it's Wednesday so Meredith will have a new video out!" That bubble was popped pretty quickly. But I'm enjoying it now, and I love a regular cozy vlog! Anyway, just added you on Goodreads, I'm on there with a sunset picture :) I think it's perfectly alright to share your honest opinions about books, but I'm also not a public figure so I want to thank you for extending this privilege to your followers. Interview with the Vampire online book club next year? ;) Edit to add ahhhh so glad you're starting NITW! You will likely be done with it by the time you see this comment but I hope you enjoy it, I wrote about it in my comment last week. I didn't actually play it in the fall, it was a summer 2020 lockdown game for me, quite literally played it while baking bread. Thank you for reading this meaty comment and have a great day!
We are loving Night in the Woods!! Thank you for the rec! We haven't finished yet because we only play for 30 min intervals but the story is so lush and impactful!
Oh no the coaster story came back to me. I'd like to hear from the reseller of your coasters if a ton of bad stuff happened this year cause I sent them ALL the bad karma.
What a cozy autumnal vlog! Just sent you a Goodreads request! And yes, the "total creep"ness of Neil Gaiman was known to me, but only after I had just started getting into his books and was all excited to catch up on his back catalogue. Now I feel super uncomfy about it. Why do so many men have to be garbage!?
Omg. I did NOT know Neil Gaiman was/is a creep. Glad to know!!! I do love The Graveyard Book (loosely inspired by The Jungle Book!) but like you alluded to re: Harry Potter...separating art from the artists themselves is important... anywho... I added you on Goodreads!! And you accepted; thank you!!! Have you been responding to friend requests all day???? But just FYI your profile data is still 'private' and we (your friends) can't see your books. Just to let you know! No presh to change this!
Absolutely love the cozy vlogs❤❤❤ fall is my favourite season and it makes me so happy to see others cherishing it as well

Yay! Thank you!!!
Wow! Such pretty leaves!!! 🍁 ❤
Ooh, those fall leaves! I wish Southern California got the vibrant Autumn foliage. It's kind of a toss up here. Lol.
When you said you'd share your goodreads I gasped 😂😍😍
LOL! Yay!

Yay!! Can't wait for you to see the show!!
And that sounds like a great plan to save Coraline!!!
I took a picture of the book you mentioned and I heard my 40 TBR books crying in the back of my head haha
Haha oy I relate
i can't believe october is almost over! it's been so warm by me that it hardly felt like october.
I know and it's looking like November is gonna have some warm days as well!! It's not dipping below the 50's any time soon here!
other than at night I mean hehe
i didn't know that about Neil Gaiman. I just finished reading the graveyard book in october as well. i really liked it! i have a paperback copy of stardust too that i got from a thrift store - it's one of my favorite movies EVER and very faithful to the book!
I LOVE Night in the Woods!!! It's an annual replay for me!
We are really liking it a lot!!!
I’d like to hear more about Shabbat dinner! Just got my copy of Pumpkin Spice Cafe in the mail. Please tell Luna that I love her

Hehe thank you!!! I'd be curious to meet another Meredith Stepien but I haven't found them yet...
Autumn always looks so beautiful in your videos
We are lucky to have really bright colors here!
So excited to see VHS! Hopefully some coasters left by Sunday!
I will only provide a certain amount each day so that there are def some at every performance!!
@MerediddyS oh yay! I'm so excited! I haven't been back to Chicago since Airport For Birds!
The fact you went "It's BeReal time" moments after my BeReal went off this morning ! what a coincidence! Hope you have a nice cozy fall :)
Oh wow!!!! That's amazing! Were you folding laundry?
I was lucky enough to see VHSCCS last year and it’s my favorite Starkid show so I really wanted to be able to see it again this year but it’s happening the same time as my family vacation 😭 I hope you guys have a great time doing it though!! Can’t wait for the vlogs about it!

We are loving it!! We have dipped toes into Mae's backstory but haven't gotten the full thing yet! So emotionally impactful already though!!
The way I FLEW to Goodreads to add you haha
Hehe welcome to my Goodreads mania

if you want to get your tomatoes red, you can put them in a brown bag or a drawer with a banana or an apple!
Thank you!!!

I've tried to grow onions a few times before and they never got any bigger than yours did either! Not sure why? Also, I love your sweater-vest!
Ok at least we aren't alone!!
Yay coasters! Will you be selling any online this year?
Hmmmm probably not because they'll be so limited! But if not a lot of people buy them, then yes! I'll sell them online after!!

I dunno!! It stinks!!!
what is the font you use for your titles? its so whimsical and fits the vibes of your vlogs perfectly!!!
It's called "Wild Mango"!! I love it!
i added you on Goodreads! i promise i will not take offense on any of your reviews. I am kind harsh with regard to star ratings, sorry!

Ok I tried to change it but it says friends can see my reviews, etc! What am I doing wrong?? Help
@@MerediddyS Idk what you did, but I can see all your books now!! Thank you, Meredith!!!!
