    This man has ZERO arrogance about himself. One of the many reasons he is my idol.

    • @TheJackKnite
      @TheJackKnite 4 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Same. It's also why he's been successful with his business and been able to make good money post bodybuilding

      Exactly I love jay cutler his battles with Ronnie Coleman and his mindset. Zero arrogance didn’t think he was better than anyone else like rich piana rip. When you have a rival to push you there’s no limit how big you can get both physically and in life. I am going to be like jay cutler and my rival like Ronnie Coleman one day you have to lose before you can win it makes it that more meaningful. Yeah finishing 8-0 or winning 6 Olympias in a row would be awesome but overall overcoming adversity and winning after losing means more which is why I probably will be like jay. Winning 4 Olympias overall will be more meaningful because I defeat a legendary bodybuilder like Ronnie Coleman at his peak means more than winning 6 in a row like Dorian Yates.

      He mentored Phil Heath, encouraged him, supported him even when they were competing against each other for the Olympia and was the first to congratulate him when Phil finally beat him. Jay has helped shitloads of guys and having met him on 3 separate occasions and talked more than what would be considered "polite" with him, I can say he is genuinely a good dude. He can come off as arrogant I guess because he has a pretty mellow, dead pan personality and is pretty blunt, he doesn't do all the fake stoked to see you bullshit some of the other guys do

Learn from those that came before you, just because you look at TH-cam videos doesn't mean you have a clue as to what your doing get in the gym with people who have been doing it along time. Just because you have a fitness Instagram account doesn't mean your an expert, stay humble and be a student of the game that's the way it worked for everyone that came before you that's the only way it will work for you.

The hundreds and thousands of hours perfecting a bench, squat, deadlift, etc technique. Technique takes time to learn

    Ronnie is my favorite but damn Jay was the gold standard and inspires me today. He’s right. It was him and big Ron one and two for so long. The fact that Cutler went head to head with Ronnie and it was a coin toss blows me away. Poor Ronnie paid the price with those big lifts and Jay looks amazing. I’d rather be Jay then Ronnie in hindsight. Can’t get enough of either of these guys. Two of my idols. Love them

    Wow, never really paid much attention to Jay Cutler, but I like the way he is honest in this. This is basically my philosophy on dieting as well. I always eat big breakfasts and eat big before and after training (which are usually my higher carb meals) while my other meals low on the carbs but all meals are calorie, protein, and fatty dense meals. It's so nice to hear someone of his status say what I feel is true on nutrition philosophy. Great video guys! Keep it up.

    This guy has some serious work ethic. I feel that he's maybe been through such resistance that has built this mentality and melancholy approach. That mindset naturally accompanies that (from my experience). It's like you just hit a breakthrough and establish a relationship with the pain that is ultimately who you are as an athlete. It's the contradiction. For the pain to be the pleasure.

    The clip at 3:20 isn't actually 405lbs. See the colored handles? In European standards, the blues are always 20kg, yellows 15kg and the bar is 20kg so its 150kg total, or 330lbs. Still a good amount of weight though.

    A prime Coleman is overwhelming. Even Dorian said Coleman took it to another level from where he had it. Cutler has publicly said that he knows he didn't beat Coleman at his best. I think Phil is genetically superior to Yates and Cutler, and I think Phil is in the conversation with all of them except Ronnie. Phil is a badass, but I don't think Ronnie gets beat by anybody in his prime. GOAT...it is shame he is paying such a high price for it now. It is a shame for guys like Kai, Levrone, Wheeler, and even Ray to a certain extent, because they are all Olympia caliber guys, they just happen to be competing when some of the best of all time were competing.
