I get a better result applying it on dry hair, midshaft first, then the ends last. In this case, I'd use the Flawless Diamond first to cool all the yellow, then the lavender shampoo, and afterwards, use the lavender colorditioner. I might also paint into problem areas, the darker purple, using a brush.
Hey Hannah! How long did it take for this to come out of your hair completely? I want to try it, but I am afraid it won’t come all the way out in some spots.
I used this I have a pink and blue stuff and my hair was already blue,it was an ombre blue so the ends started to get really light blue so i decided to is it and I missed my pink and blue and it made a pretty purplely blue
So yesterday i went to the salon to get this and the lady bleached small alreas of my dirty blonde hair then did the shampoo stuff and it already came out the next day. I want to just buy it and do it myself but i dont want all of my hair to be colored. If i just apply the pink shampoo will it only get the bleached areas or will it fill my whole head? I do not want a full pink head so what do i do ?
mrsnbautista : It definitely works BEST on pre-lightened hair, but it will still give your hair a cast of color to it. Does that make sense? You need to have hair that is a dirty blonde (level 7) or lighter to see it in my experience, and also use a more bold color choice- light the bright purple that I use on my hair, rather than the pastel that is used on the model. Hope that helps! Thanks for your question!
Jessica, when it all fades out does it go back to the lightened hair it was before? Or will it still have a little bit of color left that will need to be lightened again to take out?
Crissie Adams the more you use it, the more it stains your hair. It will fade, depending on the shade you choose - it will fade differently! For instance, if you have blonde hair and use the pastel purple, it would most likely fade down to an icy blonde! Thanks for asking!
For me I used the extreme red over and over for a few months. Once it faded out it was like a really light peach/rose gold type of color :) it was very light though and i actually kind of liked it!
Hey girl! It fades a bit with each wash thereafter. If you want it to be more vibrant try to stretch your time between shampoos, and use it up to twice a week- as long as you are using the Blonditioner with it. Hope that helps! Thanks for your comment! 😊
So I got my hair done with this viral shampoo and I went to take a shower and I shampooed with my actual shampoo and most of it came out. So I put more in. Then I rinsed than added my own conditioner. Once i blow dried it my hair was like green. (Just to let you know the color is dark blue I am using) what did I do wrong?!? PLEASE HELP MEEEEE
Hannah Whitenight Oh no! What kind of shampoo did you use? It's good to make sure that the shampoo you use is color safe (paraben and sulfate free shampoo).
Hannah Whitenight hey girl! When blue fades, it will lean towards a green hue. Was it fairly blue before you washed? If so, don't lose heart! Next time you use the shampoo, I would apply it 2-3 times - leaving it on 3-5 minutes each time. I would also highly recommend getting the blonditionor, as it seals the cuticle back up after using. ☺ I hope that helps! Let me know how it goes, and between uses, use a gentle - color safe shampoo & try to stretch your washes 💋
I wouldn't leave it on for longer than 10 minutes, max. It is fairly drying on the hair. It will only intensify the color on prelightened hair, it doesn't lift just deposits! Hope that helps! 😄

That's an awesome tip! Thank you so much for sharing! 🤩
You did an amazing job on her hair and you can really see a difference the second time 💜
So cool to see! I honestly didn't mind the smell of the conditioner. This makes me want to stay blonde so I can experiment with more colors.

Love, love, love. Viral has been a game changer for me in the salon
Love her haircut/style, looks fantastic on her! The pastel lavender does give it an extra pop! (:
i just did a video about this product too! i loved how you showed the application process! great video!
Hey thanks Valeri! :)
I love it
I have this in my hair I have really dark brown hair but the dark blue showed up but if I leave it in for more then 30 minutes it turns gray
Works much better on dry hair
I'm coming 7 billion year later but I wonder if it wash the hair good or if it's better to wash them with "real" shampoo before?

I have purple hair and it gets light after a lil over a month so i use this to make it darker
Is it permanent? And if not, how long does it stay for? Just wonderin’ cuz my mom would neverrrr let me dye my hair permanently!
Does your hair need to bleached or lightened/coloured before, or will this work on naturally blonde hair?

How do you get it out? It's not washing out of my hair

Can this be used to tone and neutralise brassiness?
Do u use the blond conditioner for my pruple hair
So it doesn’t color the hair that’s not been bleached?
Thank you 💖👍🏼💖
Was that the look she was going for ? I though she was going to retouch the blonde
How long will the color hold until it washes out?

How long does it stay in without taking a shower
Will this work on my hair? My hairs a level 10
CloCat 356 yes! It should work!
I did mine on dry hair
filled properly using the steps in the instructional videos I think she would have got an even result.
Fill, shampoo and conditioner.

Hannah Whitenight If you had some yellow tint to your hair thats is probably why it turned Green. yellow+ blue=green. Hope that helps.
Hannah Whitenight I would try using Pantene or salon shampoo that keeps the color in your hair
Was it the teal color? Mine does that too
Would leaving the colorwash for more than 3 minutes have any effect? Like leaving it on for 20 minutes?

So it is shampoo as well, it seems you washed the hair and then applied it, I am confused
