Ive spent my morning watching your tutorials playlist. Each video is fantastic! Great information and very clearly presented. Thank you so much! With your help, my crochet skills have been upgraded ❤❤
This is awesome, thanks! One thing it's important to take into account is that dyed yarn weighs more than white. There was a popular afghan kit back in the day where they weighed the yarn and everybody ran out of the dark yarn before the project was complete. Weird because the band ball usually says the same weight per yardage, but dark colors weigh more. Love your tips and tricks! Thanks.
I could have done with this chart a while ago as I had a lot of wool given to me without wrappers. Imake afgans for Hospis and animal shelters. This will be invaluable. THS.
I know this is pretty old but how can i find out what hook size is for what ply yarn? D: cause i bought a 3.5mm hook for a project but i think i bought small yarn so the stitches are loose, the yarn is 5ply and i dont know if its just me messing up or i did buy the wrong yarn, i cant find wny vid about this and im really worried.. can someone help please?
Look at the yarn label that came with the yarn and see what hook size it recommends. It sounds like you’re using the right hook size. I’ll add a chart here for you . If it’s looking too loose , try a 3mm hook and see if you like the look of it better. Hooks/plies: Fingering, thread, 1-3 ply: 1.4-2.25 mm Sock, fingering, baby, 4 ply: 2.25-3.5 mm Sport, baby, 5 ply: 3.5-4.5 mm Light weight (dk or light-worsted): 4.5-5.5 mm Worsted (10 ply): 5-6.5 mm Bulky (12 ply): 6.5-9 mm
@@PlayHookywithMe tysm, the yarn I'm using doesn't have a hook size recommendation and I just got really worried :( I'll save that list in the future ty again!
For those of you looking for a chart to save, you can easily find one by searching/googling "wraps per inch yarn chart". xx

Re-upload?
Yes, I had a copyright issue with the music I used in the original one. Oops
@@PlayHookywithMe That can happen! Glad you put it up again. Will use it as future reference :)
