I appreciate that you state in almost every video where you are located, your growing zone, what your own current local conditions are and what time of year it is, etc when you make your videos. Most gardening videos just say, "This is how to do this!" without providing any context. It gives me more confidence to follow your advice even though my zone is a little harsher than yours (I'm zone 5a). It's also reassuring when you emphasize the inconsistencies of gardening so that everyone realizes that nothing is set in stone when it comes to gardening. Good job! You're one of the better (maybe the best) gardening videographers I've seen.

So good to see you not bundled up,it must be warmer.Tulips here have already bloomed and gone,I have garlic over 2 feet high, but that's because Spring come alittle earlier here although you wouldn't know it from all the cloudy and cool days we have had here.Enjoyed the video so glad to see you have little peepers showing, hope you will have some great weather now Greg.Oh when you speak of rhubarb it reminds me of my grand mother, she loved it.

Way out here in zone 5b (an hour or so from your place lol ) I took advantage of the upcoming forecast rain and moved my strawberry plants to a new bed on Friday. Have a great day =)

Your slightly ahead of me on the spinach, and I appreciate your way of doing things. I will keep an eye on my spinach, and follow your lead. You are my absolute favorite teacher, thank you!!!

I like how you've been showing the stage your perennials are at with what you are doing in the garden in the spring. It is so helpful, because even though I am in the same zone as you, here in the Ozarks in Missouri my rhubarb, garlic and tulips are much higher so I can adjust accordingly. Love your videos and how practical they are.

Great job. Love your sponsors. I just got my order of cherry trees, raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries from veseys on Friday. Put everything in pots until I can figure out where I'm putting everything. It has been so cold and windy until just this past week so I guess spring has finally arrived. It was so good to feel that suns rays.

You're not messing around with the perennials! They've not yet sent me my berry bushes. Maybe they will arrive this week!

Great video Greg. Do you mulch heavy even when planting seeds? Are all seeds able to push thru heavy mulch? Thanks for your videos...very informative.

Thanks Bob! The bigger the seed, the more mulch you can use. Lettuce, for instance, can push through about 1/2" of mulch; beans can push through an inch or more, and so on. I usually push the mulch aside to plant. I'll have a vid soon on doing this, if it ever stops raining! :)

Maritime Gardening I was mulching with straw and I think I was using too much mulch for seeds to push through. Can't wait for your video on that subject. Thanks again.

dont kill the sluggies they are what eats your composts and feed your plants, i havnt had any slug issues since i started using sifted compost as mulch i figured they just eat that instead
