Absolutely agree after having the black keyboard last year the white not only looks awesome with the new silver iPad but it definitely is easier to keep clean.

White looks nice but the keys were hard to see even in blacklight on and when i was using the ipad and watching movies the white keyboard area was distracting against the black ipad screen. Just wasnt immersive as the black lkeyboard. So while white looks nice but in terms of function the black was better.

I'm too big of a fan of the dark mode theme with a space grey ipad to give that up. The white one just doesn't resonate with me the same way the black one does. Still appreciate the review, now I know exactly what to expect instead of getting a nasty surprise when I buy it
Letting the iPad going back further defies the laws of physic. You would need a far heavier base on the keyboard side to hold it together. Just my two cents.
If the iPad tilted back much further on the magic keyboard the whole thing would tip over or they would have to make the bottom every heavier to compensate for the weight shifting.
Ordered the white one today to go along my M1 12.9 inch iPad Pro. Main reason I went with white is ‘cause it reminds me a lot of one of my favourite Apple designs ever: the white MacBook! Think with good care it should continue to keep looking good, my iPad is my laptop (use an iMac as a Mac) so will go to loads of places
I have the black cover for more than year, this cover received fried potates, guacamole, cheddar, beer, mustard, coke etc etc, and still black. I am not kidding, still black, I cannot imagine the white version can tolerate my life style.

I bought the white. After just a few months it has black grease stains on it from my hands and blue stains from my clothes. Tried everything can’t get the stains out
I just got the white too and same crap. I regret it instantly!! Wish I should have got what I was going for since the beginning which was the black one. My is stained on the edges from putting in the leather sleeve smh

I’m on day #2 with the black Magic Keyboard. I always keep my hands very clean, and even clean hands leave lots of visible residue behind. I can’t imagine how filthy this thing is going to appear if I were to not clean it for 5 days. I’ll definitely be cleaning it every day or so, but I’m really not happy that I couldn’t just have natural aluminum and black keys. I still hate the soft touch and wish they got rid of the rest of it.
Lol ima get the black ipad my dad's gonna get it me for my studies ima then buy the black keyboard I want the apple pen but its another £100 that means I'll have to save up another 2 months 😒

For me the black one is a no no because of the all black keys and board, I find it much easier to "look over" the all white at the screen. For some reason in a strange way, the white keyboard contrasts well with the iPad very well knowingly that it is not to be seen as a laptop. The black Magic Keyboard paring with the iPad just seem to be perceived as a wannabe MacBook which isn’t appealing as it sounds especially for the $. So with the white Magic Keyboard, psychologically speaking, it more satisfying to look at the ipad being distinctly different than black. White brings light, hope, entertainment. Black brings dirt, pretentious, old, and dark. So very interesting observation IMO

I got the black one put it in a sleeve to put in my bag.upgraded from the smart keypad, that one I’d use electronically glass cleaner for wiping smudges sometimes spilt milk. Magic keyboard ill be more careful with having liquid around it.

BOTH white and black Magic Keyboard compliments the iPad well so it a matter of your taste and perception of the iPad being use for reason XYZ. I for example want white because it perceives me to see the ipad being different in terms of presentation and unlike black which appears to be pretentious MacBook Air.. plus color speaks volume psychologically. White is hope, light, and appreciation. Black is dark, dirty, unpleasant and so forth. Just my food for thought.

The white is pretty to look at but the keyboard sucks in white. There is no contrast so the letters do not stand out when they are white. Throw a skin on the outside of the black and you are good to go

Yeah, I like the black look cause it looks professional but I have the white model witch I like but I had this concern with the color white getting dirty but after seeing your video, you did this comparison I will stay with the white but I will be taking it back to apple cause I see a defect above the apple logo, there’s a bubble line going up & down just above the logo. havent tried either, but with a silver Ipad pro, the white does look good. with a darker tone, like space grey.. I reckon the black likely look better, then what it does with a silver Ipad Pro. Though the silver Ipad is the one I recon looks best as a pure product, but thats taste. and yeah not ideal for a folding device when the crease start to front thrue the materiel like on the black... one would expect at these prices they would be able to match the underlying fabric.. to suit the colorchoice, and it does look like the underlying fabric are closer to white then the oppesit.. thx for the vid...

I’ve seen some reviews about the keys having an oily/greasy look on some keys after a some uses, have u also noticed this?

Exactly why I got the black. My old white keyboards suffered the same issues which is why I bought a logitech MX keys for my imac.

I love my black one but man does it get really gunky! There always some sort of new gunk stuck to it.

Apple support recommends a damp cloth and wipe gently - refrain from using vigorous chemicals that may effect the material

I love my white magic keyboard. I know it gets dirty easily but I just don’t feel the black.
If you have a problem cleaning the magic keyboard just use windex glass cleaner and a paper towel in the front and the back and it will be clean
