- This was our biggest week yet on the van build, we have worked for 7 days straight to try and keep on track for our deadline of 5 weeks' time.
We started the week by insulating the walls, we then moved onto insulating and battening the roof. We also got the swivel seat fitted this week, attempted the reverse camera and started to prep the cladding ready for it to be fitted in the coming days.
Such a busy week this week, we're absolutely knackered, we're also super excited about the fact the vans now taking shape. We would love to hear your thoughts below.
Another fantastic job guys! Oh it’s getting closer and closer! I’m so excited for you both now! Keep up the amazing work!!!!! 🌟🌟🥂💪
Cheers Damian, it definitely feel like we're getting somewhere now, I think once we get the walls and cladding on then it will be a game changer 🚐🚐
If at first you don't know gets someone that does know. Your van is going to be cozy warm. You've done a great job, try not to get too disheartened. I know how it feels when things don't happen the way you think they should. Keep smiling a new day always starts positive.
Yeah for sure, last thing we want is to get something seriously wrong. Thank you so much Mark, I think we were so tired this week it was a struggle at times, we're definitely pleased with what has got done though.
Great video guys! This is the part of the build where it feels like it takes forever, prep really does take ages! Keep up the good work and can't wait to see it progress! :)
Yeah for sure, now we can see it getting somewhere it's a lot more exciting! Hopefully we can start getting the furniture in soon 🤞
Excellent job guys!!! Van is looking good. Can't wait for the next instalment 😁👍👍
Thank you Jason, it's definitely coming along now 😊
I’m happy to subscribe! Every van life person I get into ends up suddenly farming and living off grid! Lol, that’s fine and I’m happy for them but I watch van life to live vicariously through you guys and experience different things.
Hey Todd, thank you so much we really appreciate your support 😊 We have no plans of doing nothing but vanlife for the next few years so hopefully you will join us for the journey 🙌🏻
Yall getting it done 👏🏿👏🏿. I love seeing the progress.
It's definitely getting there now, it's been a hard slog though 😂
@@beyondthe.moment lol it will be well worth at the end 💪🏾
Look at you guys go!!! It's looking amazing already - i'm so excited!!
Madness how it's starting to come together now, we will have to come down south Wales soon and show you 😊
Great stuff guys! You are doing such a great job! It looks exhausting but you are doing amazing and so nice to see your progress 🤩 Was the celotex squeaky when you were cutting it? I imagined it sounding like polystyrene😅🙉
The build is coming along great! You’ll have to let us know what the reversing camera is like as we’ve been looking for one for whenever we eventually get the van back 😂
It's definitely getting there now, hopefully we can get the roof on this week if the weather isn't too bad. We will do, we actually have somebody installing it properly on Thursday because I chucked in the towel half way through 😂
@@beyondthe.moment you quitter!!! 😂 there’s no shame in asking for help though 😉
@@justtraveltogether I honestly can't even explain how overwhelming it is, and we were massively under prepared for it 🤣 It was cheap enough though, I'll have to check and let you know which one we got
Please rethink the gas boiler position, you shouldn’t put the flu under an opening window, do it ar the other side where there isn’t a window. 👍.
Why is that mate, because of the gases? If we keep the window closed when the boiler is on will we be okay?
@@beyondthe.moment yes, the fumes will come in, what boiler do you have, I’m getting a truma, if you have instructions it should tell you not to fit the flu below a window, and in some they give xx cm from a window, below, or to either side. Just a comment, it’s your build, 👍
@@markymarks3805 Yeah we have the Truma E4 too mate, we will have to take a look at the instructions tbf, unfortunately there's no turning back now as all the wiring is in one side and the gas inlet is installed at the other, we will be very careful to have the window shut whilst we use the boiler though.
